Nightfall lay on the stones, feeling her belly squirm. Sooner or later, I'll have to tell them. I have kits in my belly. She felt a jolt of excitement. She was worried about Darkness, her mate, being found by the Clan. Nightfall heard a rustling noise, and Darkness stepped out. Purring, she entwined her tail with his. "I have kits, Darkness." Darkness' eyes widened in pleasure and surprise. "Really? That's... great!" He said happily. They both lay on the stones for a while, letting the sun warm their dark pelts. "I hear something!" said Nightfall and Darkness at the same time. Nightfall lifted her nose and sniffed. "It's Shadeline! Run!" Darkness ran as fast as he could.

ic: Nightfall collapsed, feeling her kits coming, and, finding a thick stick, bit hard. The first kit slithered (lol) out, a blue-ish gray one.

Ripplepaw emerged out of the bushes and gasped with surprise. She started licking the blue gray kit and trying to comfort Nightfall. This is the second litter of kits I've delivered today. "Push Nightfall!"

Nightfall mewed in pain,"I can't do this!" She bit down harder and the second kit a grayish one with twisted whiskers, slid out. The stick snapped in half as a third kit slid out, but it was indistinguishable through the blood. Nightfall coulndn''t see, as she was in too much pain, but she knew something was wrong. "Two more" She thought otut loud. She could feel it.

"Two? No! That- this- that isn't normal..." She glanced at the kit covered in blood. That is a REALLY bad sign. She shook it off and encouraged Nightfall with a voice that shook. " You can do this. You CAN. Just push, and everything will be alright." She pushed a second stick towards Nightfall.

Nightfall clamped her jaws down, hard, and a dark klit with splotches of white came out, also covered in blood. She put her head down, but this time, raised it up again and pushed hardest. Another kit slipped out, also indistinguishable because of blood.

Darkness rushed over to Nightfall, quickly picking up one of the kits and lickingit, wincing at the taste of blood. Nightfall looked surprised to seeing him there. "Why are you here?" Darkness said in reply,"I heard you. I could never leave you alone. He twined tails with her, and they both let out purrs. She and Darkness quickly resumed to licking the kits.

Russetwind found one of the small pools, and was annoyed to find the water stagnant, the small spring that fed them having been blocked off somehow. He growled unintentionally to himself, flicking his tail in annoyance.

Darkness and Nightfall started to name the kits. Twistedkit for the mewling one, Jaykit for the blue-gray one, Duck-kit for the grey one, Frondkit for the black one, and Dark-kit for the one with a splash in her back. Darkness named Dark-kit, so he would have a legacy in the clans.
