ic: Creekstar flicked his tail. "It has also come to my attention that Windkit and Briarkit are in need of apprenticing, having reached six moons."
Windkit's eyes widened, staring at the leader from where he stood at the entrance to the nursery.

ic: Streakstorm was surprised, but tried to cover it up as she smiled, and dipped her head. She glanced at Thrushflight from the corner of her eye.

Creekstar purred at the two kits. "Briarkit and Windkit, you have reached the age of six moons, and it is time for you to be apprenticed. From this day, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Briarpaw and Windpaw. I ask SoulClan to watch over you and guide you until you find in your paws the strength and courage of a warrior. Myrtlerose, you show strength and courage, and have talents with Twolegs that most warriors wouldn't dare learn, which I hope you shall pass down to Briarpaw." The warrior smiled and touched noses with the small apprentice as Creekstar turned to the other apprentice. "Your mentor will be Streakstorm. She will guide you well on the path to becoming a warrior as her mentor did to her."

Sparrowfur again started up another chant of the apprentice's names, all her earlier weakness and ill health forgotten and replaced with pure joy.

Windpaw purred as the Clan called the names of the four cats, started by a smiling Creekstar. "Windpaw! Briarpaw! Streakstorm! Hawkdrop!"

Mintpath joined in less enthusiastically. He looked up at Creekstar, then to his fellow medicine cats. "We have to leave soon." He mewed quietly.

Thrushflight nodded, and beckoned to Pebbletail with his tail before glancing at his father, and with a nod to his son, Creekstar leapt off the Startree, ending the meeting.

Creekstar padded over to Hawkdrop. "Seeing as you're second deputy now, I think it'll be up to you to warn the patrols. No need to cause unnecessary panic with the queens, elders and kits." he explained softly.

Mintpath had barely slept since he'd come back from the Mooncave. The prophecy ring through his head repeatedly and the more it did, the more worried he grew about it. Did it have something to do with BrightClan?

Smokepaw quietly wove new brambles into the elder's den after they'd complained about a draft. Catching his pad on one, he let out an annoyed yelp and muttered.

Shadedripple flicked his ears at his apprentice's yelp and poked his head around the elder's den with a chuckle. "You okay?"

Smokepaw was embarrassed that someone had heard that, but nodded, weaving in another bramble. "Yeah," He mewed, avoiding another prick. "They were complaining...so I went out and found some brambles."

The brown tabby rolled his eyes in amusement. "I'm sure they'll appreciate it."

Smokepaw resisted a tired sigh. "Okay then, Shadedripple." Weaving in the last bramble he had brought in, he examined his work. Pleased that there would be no draft, he turned back to his mentor. "Do I need to do anything else today?"

Smokepaw shrugged an answer. He'd figured his mentor would keep him busy, but he had no issue with lazing around the rest of the day.
