Crowshadow watched the snow come down lightly as he caught more on his tongue and nose. He hopped around like a kit, eventually bumping into Kestreldance.
Kestreldance hissed quietly and shuffled away, nibbling halfheartedly at a thin thrush that he had caught earlier with Frostpaw in the Bird Song Trees.

Morningpaw sorted herbs in her den with a sigh. She had collected herbs, and the stock was nearly overflowing. Normally she would be happy about this, but lately she felt like so many cats were getting sick, and that it would be a tough and hard leaf-bare.

Ravengaze sat outside of the warriors den, rolling in a puddle of melted slush from the earlier snow that day. He suddenly clenched his stomach and bent over, feeling nauseous. He rushed into the nearby medicine cats den and approached Morningpaw, the only awake herb-dealer right now, and nearly threw up over her paws as he sat in a small moss-lined nest by the herb stock.

Poppydawn happily nappend in the medicine cat den. She was tired of collecting herbs all day.

Echo laid in the nursery with a tired gaze. She could feel her stomache full of kits kicking her and there.

Morningpaw glanced at Poppydawn before returning to organizing the stocks. She saw Ravengaze out of the corner of her eye and sighed, turning around.
"Is anything wrong, Ravengaze?" she asked quietly.

Echo drowsily dozed off into a small nap. She had funny breathing since her kits were kicking.

Finchflight entered the camp. Where was Ravengaze? She saw him getting sick in the medicine den. "Are you okay?" She squeaked, running over. Finchflight's new friend was fine earlier, but not now! "It was probably the squirrel..."

Morningpaw shivered at the spew that had nearly fallen over her paws.
"Oh dear," she mewed, hurrying into the stock and rummaging through carefully.
She didn't notice Finchflight as she came back and fed the sick warrior some watermint.
"Here, chew it into a pulp. This may just be a belly ache or disruption in your stomach." she explained, tail lashing.

Finchflight shivered. If Ravengaze was sick, he could get worse! It was leaf-bare now, after all!

Morningpaw worked her magic and saw Finchflight out of the corner of her eye.
"Hello," she muttered, chewing for Ravengaze and gently moving his jaws and up down to make the watermint into a careful pulp.

Morningpaw nodded, although she herself was a bit unsure.
"Yes, I'm sure he'll be fine." she meowed reassuringly, shuffling her paws as he swallowed the watermint.
"Okay, I'm just going to ask you a few questions to determine whether this is just a one-time thing or is some type of disease." she told Ravengaze, muttering the last part so Finchflight wouldn't hear and worry over it for the rest of her day

Finchflight didn't catch Morningpaw's last part. She stroked her tail softly along Ravengaze's flank, trying to sooth him.

Poppydawn awoke from the conversation going on by her. She stretched and yawnned."What's all the talking?" She groaned.

Poppydawn licked her fur then mewed "A minute ago? If he's sick then it just means he's had at least a few symptoms of it to show it was building up." She got up and padded to the side of Morningpaw. "Did you use coltsfoot and some heather flower?" she asked.

Morningpaw shook her head, realizing her mistake.
"Oh, no, sorry. I just gave him some watermint in case it was a disruption in his stomach or a little bellyache." she explained, letting her ears go flat as she rummaged through the overflowing stock for some coltsfoot.

Poppydawn tapped the apprentice with her tail and mewed, "Hey it's fine. Watermint is good, but should be used for serious bellyaches. Ravengaze probably has a small ache. Using watermint just means he'll need not eat for a bit," She gazed at Morningpaw with care.

Finchflight gazed with awe as the medicine cats worked with the gray tom. She didn't know thise herbs, and seemed like a secret code to her!

Dovekit yawned, "Hey, Silverkit, wanna go spy on some apprentices?" She mewed with a sly smirk.

Beetlekit stood beside her, twitching his whiskers with uneasiness that it might be a bad idea.

Robinblaze peeked at Crowcall and decided to walk over to him. "Hello, Crowcall. um- would you like to go hunt?" She meowed awkwardly.

Patchwhisker sat in the clearing, cleaning his chest.

IC: Morningpaw glanced at Fluffkit before treating to Ravengaze again. She gently took some herbs that Poppydawn had suggested and applied them to Ravengaze, letting him chew it now that he had awaken and was probably capable of it.

Poppydawn looked around the camp and spotted her sister Lilytail. "I think you have this," she mewed to Morningpaw and padded to her sister. "Lilytail, how are you doing?" she said as she padded forward.

Lilytail gave a chuckle and nuzzled her sister gently in the side. She let out a ragged purr and lashed her tail in harmony with the wind.
"I'm great," she meowed.

Silverkit shrugged a shoulder. Her sister Cloudedkit and her brother Wildkit had led her out of camp a lot, but they usually got caught and she yet never got in trouble by her parents. She didn't want to do anything that brews trouble.
"Maybe an elder could tell us a story! Like Leafwatcher! I love her dog story, but it's kind of violent towards the end. She's got lots of detail, except during the injuries and death." she mewed, flicking her tail to and fro.

Morningpaw, after treating Ravengaze firmly, padded over to the kit. She ran her paw softly over the kits forehead, where the wound from the dog was, and felt only a slight bump. She dabbed some honey and water on it and then shooed the kit away gently.
"You're all good. Just don't get too close to the sick cats." she mewed.

The young brown and white kit frolicked happily around camp, batting around a moss ball as he circled the camp. Truth be told, Tunnelkit had gotten in slight trouble for "accidentally" talking back to an elder, so he was supposed to be changing their bedding. Too bad, so sad, it wasn't on his list of priorities. He saw his sister limping out of the medicine cat's den and rushed over on clumsy paws, only to trip over his straying moss ball and land into the prey heap. Landing smack dab in the middle of all the corpses, he huffed and scrambled out, knocking it out of place. He rested his stiff shoulders and began to pile them back up without question; he didn't want to be told off again, even though this time it was truly an accident.

"Gross!" Tunnelkit shouted louder than he thought as he finished putting the prey heap back and picking out some flesh from his perfectly groomed fur.
He finished it off and licked the rest away from his fur and pressed down some mottled feathers that had caught on his leg from a hunt at the Bird Song Trees. He picked them out and tossed them into the sky, watching them with instant awe as they mixed in with the gently falling snow.

"Hey," Tunnelkit mewed halfheartedly.
The grin was still plastered on his face as he flattened out his moss ball and led his sister into the elders den, taking some dirty bedding and replacing it with his moss ball.
Leafwatcher smiled at the two kits and settled into her new nest, resting her head on her paws and watching them.
"Would you two like to hear a story? I'm awfully bored." she asked with a slight sigh.

IC: Leafwatcher smiled at the kit's enthusiasm and sat up straight, clearing her throat.
"There I was, romping through the fresh air as the strange green hue shone across the forest floor..." she began.
Tunnelkit purred and settled down into place, resting his head on his paws and swaying his small hind legs back and forth, back and forth, as he listened to the story.

Tunnelkit shivered, not because of the cold, but because of the story.
Leafwatcher narrowed her eyebrows.
"Oh, I guess that was a little too much for you guys..." she thought over her story, wishing she hadn't included so much detail just then.
