DuskClan Camp

Echo gave a yawn as she sat outside the nursery.  She got up as she walked to the fresh-kill pile to get some prey. She grabbed a sparrow and felt movement. She got used to the kicking by now in her belly.

Sorrelflight stretched out and sat down near the fresh-kill pile. "How's going?" she asked, yawning.

Echo sat down and put down her sparrow to speak normally. "They're almost due. I'm not sure when, but they're getting there," she said.

"Cool!" she mewed cheerfully, "You're gonna be a great mom!"

Beepaw chattered with Redpaw at the entrance of the apprentices den. He glanced over and saw his mother talking with another queen. He dipped his head in goodbye to Redpaw and approached them.
"Howdy!" she purred.

Echo gave a nod of thanks to Sorrelflight and then said "Hello," as Beepaw came walking toward her.

Zebrafire came strutting confidently out of the warriors den. She picked out a finch and began nibbling on it enthusiastically. She glanced at Echo and nodded respectfully.
"Why, hello, Echo! How are the kits doing?" she pointed to the queen's stomach with her thin tail.
Beepaw's back stiffened as another cat approached. She snuffled and swept the bones of her small squirrel away with her tail.

Echo took a bite of her Sparrow as she noticed more cats were gathering around her. "They're good," she mewed. I think.

Sorrelflight looked up at the sky. "Ah, your kits are so lucky! They're going to get to play in the snow before it becomes considered 'immature'." she joked.

Echo replied to Soralflight. "That's the good side of Leaf-bare. I hope for when they are born, that the cold won't be harsh," she mewed. She flicked her tail and took another bite of her sparrow.

"Probably not." Sorrelflight mewed optimistically.

Beepaw shoved her muzzle into her mother's fur.
"What season was I born in?" she asked, curious.

"If I remember correctly, you were born at the end of newleaf." she mewed, nuzzling her kit. She's so grown up!

Beepaw whined quietly and rolled over onto her back, throwing her legs up in the air.
"Did I have any s-siblings?" she asked, ears twitching as she hopped up again and nuzzled her mother's chest.

"Nope, just you, little bee." she mewed affectionately. She tried to suppress her sad memories and just enjoy the moment. Her kit was growing up big and strong, but still cared about her.

Echo purred seeing the mother and daughter bond.

Fluffkit yawned. "I'm tired." she complained to nobody in particular.

Leafwatcher rolled her eyes and purred affectionately.
"Why don't you two go get some rest?" she suggested, flicking her ears backwards in slight irritant of the kits.
Beepaw smiled and rolled onto her back again, staring at the dim midday sky in awe as the overhead clouds gently sprinkled flurries onto her nose.

Fluffkit nodded. "YEah." she yawned, suddenly falling asleep on the spot.

Tunnelkit draped his small tail over Fluffkit's shoulders and led her out of the den. The dim sun flickered above them as graying clouds passed over it. He hopped into the nursery and curled into his nest, thinking hard.
Beepaw sighed. It had certainly been a long day for her since her mentor was out sick, so she had nothing else to do but mope. The warriors that passed her as she lay flopped on her back next to her mother were quite amused that the usually rambunctious and energetic she-cat was so docile.

Fluffkit woke up suddenly, before falling asleep again with Tunnelkit next to her.

Tunnelkit had been anticipating Fluffkit getting up again and saying they should play something, but she quickly fell asleep and he sighed. The dim midday light streamed into the den and hit his face like melted butter, so he shuffled around until he was away from the entrance, curling his small, thin tail around Fluffkit and snorting as he tried to find a good position.

Sorrelflight lay on the snowy ground and watched it fall. "Isn't it beautiful?" she asked to nobody in particular.

Echo responded with a "Yes, it is." She finished her sparrow and lied her head down.

Ic: Finchflight breathed deeply trying to relax, then left the medicine den. She laid down in the warrior's den, and drifted off to sleep.

Robinblaze sat in the camp clearing, chewing on a peice of a thrush silently as her blazing eyes gazed across the camp.

Dovekit, Beetlekit and Leafkit all three fell asleep on there nest. 

Patchwhisker sat in his nest, his eyes feeling droopy with tiredness.

ooc: @Honorchior pls rp Hollykit, or I will take her back.

OOC: Well, for firsts, Silverkit just suggested something to the other kits hehe
IC: Beepaw sat by her mother and nodded.
"It sure is!" she meowed, accidentally tripping on a bone of her finch and falling face-first into some snow.
She giggled and got up, shaking it off and sending snowflakes flying everywhere, like it had just started falling.

ooc: I know, I read it, but they already did that (listening to a story)

Blueshine shivered at the new-falling snow and padded over towards the rest of the cats gathered near the fresh-kill pile.

Beepaw turned to Blueshine, dipping her head.
"Hello, O Wise and Beautiful!" she yipped, raising her leg and scratching behind her slushy ear.

"Thanks?" she mewed, "Uh, are you all doing anything?"

"Nope, just enjoying this beautiful weather!" she exclaimed, sneezing and sending a clump of snowflakes flying around her that had collected on her nose.
OOC: Beepaw's too hyper

"Oh, okay, just checking." she mumbled, plopping into the snow and sighing. What did I think they were talking about? There's nothing to make sure they aren't discussing anymore.

Echo gave a nod of greeting to Blueshine. "Hello Blueshine." she mewed.

Mintapple padded around the slush cautiously and approached the small group huddled by the prey heap. He overheard Beepaw yapping about the weather and felt a bud of hope lurch in his heart.
"Maybe we could send a little patrol to gather some food?" he asked Blueshine, poking the small moist pile of prey gently with his dry paw.

"...sure." Blueshine mewed. Does he actually want to relax? Am I being scary?

Mintapple glanced around camp, dipping his head to Blueshine and poking his head into the warriors den.
"Anyone care for a patrol to fill up the prey heap?" he asked out loud a little louder than he should have.

Finchflight woke up. She heard Mintapple call, and she came out. "I can."

Blueshine nodded. "We don't need too many cats for a hunt." she mewed.

Robingaze padded forward as well. "I'll hunt. I have nothing else to do." She meowed, half mumbling with a twitch of her ear.

Dovekit twitched her paw and rolled over with a slight smile in her sleep.
Leafkit snorted in her sleep and started to snore even more , rolling onto her back.
Beetlekit sighed as he heaved himself up, not able to fall asleep with his three sisters. At least Hollykit was calm in her sleep. He padded out the den and into the clearing, looking for Silverkit.

Patchwhisker stretched his legs. "Blueshine, do you think we'll need a border patrol as well?" The senior warrior asked with anticipation to get moving.

Beepaw perked her ears and fell on her back dramatically.
"Can I come with Mintapple?" she asked excitedly.

Patchwhisker watched Beepaw. "It's better if you go with your mentor. " He pointed out.

IC: Beepaw glanced around camp.
"I don't want to bother her," she explained.
"She's talking to her sister."
Lilytail caught her apprentice's glance and shrugged it off.
"Poppydawn? Can I ask you a question?" she meowed uncertainly.

Patchwhisker nodded. "You should ask her for permission, usually apprentices shouldn't wander on out in a random patrol. Their mentor's are supervisors, so all responsibility will be on them. " The older tom meowed.

Poppydawn nodded to Lilytail. "Sure!" She mewed.

"Do you think I'm cut out for being deputy?" she awkwardly shuffled her paws and glanced at the clear blue sky, not minding the snowflakes falling gently and landing on her nose.

Poppydawn gave a small gasp and meowed, "Of course your cut out for it! You're a very responsible cat with great intentions!"

"Alright, double patrol for hunting and border-checking." Blueshine called.

Crowshadow was in a foul mood, as he so often fluctuated into on particularly interesting days- interesting, of course, meaning those that did not revolve around himself. Today it was the fact that he had been told off for getting into an argument with an elder, though the tabby would heartily claim that they had stayed on their opposing sides of the argument and had never once laid a paw on each other. It wasn't any of the cat's business whether or not he spent his time yelling at Leafwatcher; she was a fish-breathed diddlesquat and, in Crowshadow's opinion, deserved every harsh word he blundered in her direction. Now he was sulking around camp, shooting irritated glances at everyone he passed. Sometimes he didn't understand why they couldn't see his grace; how could such undeniable excellency go unnoticed by so many? He wanted to lament, to vent, to get into an irrelevant fight and waste energy. Others spent so much time telling him what he couldn't do- no yelling, no flinging prey, no sleeping on three nests all at once- and never enough time appreciating what he could. After all, he was a senior warrior. With kits. And a dead mate. Maybe they should show some more appreciation to him.

Finchflight nodded. She still felt a bit worried for Ravengaze in the medicine den, sick.
