WaterClan Camp

Mistleleaf let out a soft purr of amusement. "Come on, then. I suggest you clean yourself off a little, though, because we don't want the borage getting wet. Or...mossy." She flicked her ears, knowing the apprentice wouldn't be happy.

Russetwind rested with his chin on his paws at the side of the camp, purring softly as he was deep in thought.

ooc: I'm poofing Spottedthorn back because she didn't really do much on the patrol...

ic: Spottedthorn padded into camp, her ears flicking as several cats glanced at her. She set a few fish down on the fresh kill pile and then looked up. She looked around a little, not wanting it to seem like she had seen Russetwind immediately. She made her way over to him, and sat down by him with a quiet greeting.

"Hey!" Littlepaw huffed at her mentor and flicked a piece of moss in her direction.

Mistleleaf snorted as she flicked the moss back at her apprentice, and stood. "Lead the way, then?" 

Russetwind brightened immediately when he saw Spottedthorn. "Hey," he purred. "Good fishing?"

Spottedthorn smiled, Russetwind's happiness fueling her own. "Yeah, it was okay..." Her tone was still a bit subdued, but her mood had improved considerably.

Russetwind wriggled over so that Spottedthorn could lay in the sunlight. "You seem like you had a good time."

((Im going to poof Nettlefang back too because the patrol seems kind of dead right now ))

Nettlefang returned to camp after being on the patrol. Nettlefang had caught one thrush while he was out hunting that entire time. THe other part of the time he spent his time trying to take down that stupid goose.

"It was nice to get out of camp," She said, adjusting her position next to him. She rested her head on her paws, holding back a yawn.

ooc: Willow, did we ever re-audition the kits? And when should they happen?

((Fail I RPed Nettlefang here and he is in StormClan LOL. Pretend my post up there said Riverfall and not Nettlefang))

Riverfall was liking a wound that he had received from the goose. It wasn't bad but it was still a wound.

ic: Russetwind purred and began to share tongues with Spottedthorn, his tongue rasping over her ears gently.

Nettlefang Riverfall watched the clan and sighed. He was wondering if anything interesting would happen. The clan had been peaceful for a while, which is good because they haven't had any unwanted activity but the days have been slow in the clan.

Salmonpelt licked a wound on his shoulder from the the goose take-down, and he watched as all his Clanmates sat with minor injuries. I never knew geese were this dangerous. He murmered to himself. He sighed, shook his head, and continued grooming his wounds and gashes that splattered on his body.

"Are you okay?" Riverfall asked Salmonpelt whose wounds looked worse than his own that they had received on the patrol

Salmonpelt flashed his head back, not noticing when Riverfall padded up to him. He heaved a relief sigh and shook his head slightly. "I'm fine, Riverfall. It's nothing bad." he tried to heave out a fake smile and continued grooming a deep gash of fur on his left back leg, where dried blood and thorns gushed around it.

Riverfall didn't believe him but he still let it slide. "I never knew geese could be much trouble." He replied

Salmonpelt gaped, as if Riverfall had read his mind. He hid his surprise at the young warrior and just shrugged. "I mean, I never saw these kind of creatures before. They are really majestic, and I wasn't too fond of the idea of killing them for prey. I'm half happy that we didn't get too much of them, and half sad that we didn't catch any good prey for the Clan." Salmonpelt just sighed and shrugged again, wincing as a deep gash on his tailtip stung harshly and wildly.

"I'm not sure how those things would taste anyways." Riverfall added

"True, true." Salmonpelt let out a little chuckle. He finished grooming the blood and starting to lick behind his ears with his paws, like he was getting ready for some special occasion.

"You should see the medicine cat." Riverfall said to him.

"No, really, Riverfall, I'm fine. It's just some minor wounds, just like everyone else's." Salmonpelt kneaded his paws in the ground and perked his ears at the hearing of a cat he knew entering into the clearing from the nursery. Salmonpelt shook his head amusingly and sighed when Flowerkit came waddling over with that look on her face. Salmonpelt rolled his eyes with amusingly, while picking thorns out of her fur. "Playing with the other kits lately, Flowerkit?" She nodded eagerly and pointed her tail back at the other kits still waiting by the nursery. "I wanted to hang out with you for a while." She smiled and nudged her muzzle into her older brother's fur. "Ah, so you're feeling cuddly now, eh?" Salmonpelt chuckled and smiled, rubbing his head against hers.

Riverfall just rolled his eyes before beginning to watch the kit as well. He's always wanted to be a good father some day

ic: Spottedthorn smiled to herself, her eyes flicking once around the camp before she closed them. Although she looked as if she were falling asleep, the constant twitching of her tail said otherwise.

Flowerkit heard a call from her friend and waved her tail goodbye to the two older warriors. She skipped back towards the nursery and began to tumble with the other kits again. Salmonpelt just laughed and watched her go. "she's growing up pretty fast, eh, Riverfall?" He made a face and then padded away to take a nap.

ic: Russetwind kept purring happily, content with the comfort.

Riverfall laughed and said, "She sure is, kits always grow up so fast. It doesn't seem true that I was once that small."

ic: Spottedthorn suddenly jumped, as a loud noise came from the camp entrance. She tensed, but relaxed when she recognized the scents of the cat's entering camp. Her surprise settled into annoyance that she ignored.

Cloverfur had bounded into camp, accusing her brother of pushing her into the river on purpose.
"I didn't do anything!" Hareflight protested, although the mischievous glint in his eyes said otherwise.
"Well the wind didn't push me!" Cloverfur hissed, dropping some fish on the fresh kill pile, and shaking her soaking wet pelt.
"Maybe the wind got tired of you shouting all the time." He danced out of the way as she swiped at him half halfheartedly, and then went over to share the events of the hunting trip with Indigostrike, laughing as he did so.

Riverfall glanced up from his piece of prey when he heard the commotion at the camp entrance. His instincts told him to walk over to his clan mates and see what was going on, so he did. When he got over there he asked, "What's going on here?"

"Its nothing," Hareflight said, amusement still in his voice, although he sobered a bit as he spoke to the older warrior. "Just joking around." He rolled his eyes when Cloverfur scoffed at him.

"Okay, just making sure." Riverfall replied to the tom. He glanced up at the sky as he felt a rain drop fall on his pelt. He hoped it would just be a rain shower.

Hareflight nodded, before glancing behind him at his brother, who was watching Cloverfur as she tried to get pieces of wet grass out of her fur.

Salmonpelt heaved himself up and walked over to the quarreling pair of littermates. He licked his jaws to get them moist, and then decided that they would get along better if they figured it out themselves. He swept his gaze over to Flowerkit to make sure she wasn't playing to roughly, and then padded back to Riverfall. "Want to go out and hunt? I'm really dying of boredom here." he smirked, waiting for an answer as he kept glancing back at Flowerkit every now and then.

Turtlesplash sat in the clearing besides the goose her patrol had caught earlier, smoothing out her pelt.

Salmonpelt shrugged. He walked away and decided to go out on a hunt for his own. "I wonder what I'll catch today." he murmured to himself, padding out of the camp and flicking his tail to bring the air down on his back and neck. He admired the fresh newleaf smell and feel. 

ooc: yeah, whatever did happen to the "goose" patrol? it seemed dead after my last post there.

OOC: I guess we killed it and went home

Sundapple lay near the entrance of the medicine den, her head resting on her paws. Her ears flicked up at the sudden commotion, but quickly relaxed. She purred in amusement, overhearing the banter between the young warriors.

"Yeah, sure I'm up for a hunt." Riverfall replied

"Wow, back out already? We only just got back." she mewed to Riverfall.

Amberpelt walked into camp and dropped his vole and fish at the fresh kill pile. Amberpelt looked up at the now black sky with stars shining above. "I can't believe it's night already." He muttered.

Owlkit woke up next to his siblings and stretched. There was no way he could sleep any longer so he stood up. He was ready to go out and play. "Larkkit!" He hollered

"What?" Larkkit rolled over, not standing up.

Phoenixkit growled under her breath, putting her paws over her head to block her brother's voice.

"Get up! I want to play." Owlkit said. He was tired of sitting in the nursery

Phoenixkit's ears suddenly pricked up. "Oh! I have a game!" she sat up. "Ryekit! Get up!"

"Bossy." He murttered under his breath, but not loud enough for anyone to hear.

Larkkit sighed and stood up, shaking moss out of her pelt. "What do you wanna play?" She asked Owlkit, ignoring Phoenixkit.

"I dont know but I want to do something besides just hang out in the nursery." Owlkit answered

"I know!" Phoenixkit pushed past Larkkit to exit the nursery.
Larkkit sighed, glancing at Ryekit as she followed.
He followed right after her, even though he didn't want to.
"come on, Owlkit!" Phoenixkit yelled as she darted behind the nursery.

Owlkit hesitated before deciding to just follow her. "What are we doing?" He asked her.

"We're gonna play 'attack the prey." She said, naming the game on the Spot. "You stay behind here. And then all of us go to hide, and you have to try and get back inside the nursery before we attack you." her eyes glinted, excited for her new game.
Larkkit frowned a little but didn't say anything.

"Okay so after you hide I try and get back to the nursery?" Owlkit repeated questioningly  to make sure he heard right

"Yeah, mousebrain." Phoenixkit said before pushing Larkkit out towards the camp and then running away herself.

Ryekit glanced at Owlkit with a bored expression before following his sisters.

Owlkit ignored the comment as his siblings wondered around the cmap looking for hiding places. After he thought he waited enough he started back towards the nursery. He tried using light steps and being quiet.

Larkkit twitched her ears, and peeked around the corner of the apprentices den. she jumped out, running to Owlkit and pouncing on him with sheathed paws. "Ha!" she exclaimed.
