"Unlike Peachpetal...." she finished to herself, sighing as she remembered the bout of greencough that had killed her best friend.

Spottedkit raised an eyebrow. "Well, alright. Amberkit you are now medicine cat. Then that means Ebonykit will be appointed deputy. Sorry Flowerkit, but she has more knowledge of the game, and I am leader.." She meowed, almost growling the last part, but not meaning to for she wanted to be friends.

"YES!!" Ebonykit squeaked with a large smile. "My name is going to be Ebonyshadow, it sounds cool." She mewed, raising her chin high.

"More knowledge of the game?" Flowerkit snarled.
"Every kit in the history of our life knows this game! I want to be leader!" she mowed, clearly angry at Spottedkit's remark.
Amberkit jumped with joy, but as he stood underneath the boulder that his sister was standing on, he shook his head at Flowerkit.

Amberkit glanced at Swiftbreeze and hunched his shoulders, hiding himself from her glare. He rummaged through a pile of slush and leaves and hid behind it, not wanting to be yelled at.

Swiftbreeze's gaze softened. "It's ok, I'm not mad. I just want you to be fair. Maybe Flowermit could be leader, Amberkit can be deputy, Spottedkit the medicine cat, and I'll be the rogue. I will take over your clan!" Swiftbreeze gave a small yowl and lashed her tail playfully.

Amberkit padded out, tail lashing.
"No, I want to be medicine cat!" he complained, still wanting to be that rank.
"Well, I'm not appointing Spottedkit my deputy!" Flowerkit growled, flattening her ears.

Amberkit giggled and took a leaf, twirling it like hay so it resembled a herb when he was finished. He grabbed it in his teeth and leaped at Swiftbreeze, gently batting at her face.
"No, you'll never get my Clan! I have the power herb!" he growled playfully, baring his small teeth as he showed her the leaf, crossing his eyes as the breeze moved it to and fro.

Amberkit spat the leaf out, brushing off the dew and whipping it gently towards Swiftbreeze.
"Get away from our Clan!" he bared his teeth, swiftly rolling under her legs and pulling on her tail.

Flowerkit smiled, and leaped from the boulder onto Swiftbreeze. She gently tackled her and bowled her over, battering her nose and blowing her whiskers back and forth, getting her confused.

Swiftbreeze widened her eyes in mock fear. "No! No!" She was confused by the kits, and struggled more.

"Never! You will never defeat us!" Flowerkit grabbed the 'power herb' and waved it in front of Swiftbreeze's face, in an attempt to make her dizzy.
"You will fall under WaterClan's spell and join us in peace..." she meowed in a monotone voice, watching Amberkit wink with amusement from her peripheral vision.

Swiftbreeze fell limp as she pretended to be hypnotized by Flowerkit. She fought back laughter as she kept herself down. "I will do your will..." she droned, almost giggling.

Flowerkit held in a giggle as she heaved Swiftbreeze up.
"Ebonykit is our next enemy! Get her, rogue!" she instructed, tail lashing with amusement, hoping her friend would go along with it.

Amberkit let out a purr as he watched Swiftbreeze go along with the game. Usually warriors would dislike these games and rather send them off to go sleep or do something else instead of "bothering them with their yowls". He grinned ear-to-ear, grabbing his "power herb" from Flowerkit's mouth and waving it in Ebonykit's face.
"Now, you will fall under our spell." he meowed in a monotone voice, holding a giggle under his breath.
"All hail Flowerstar!" she howled, tackling Ebonykit and bowling her over, batting at her small black ears.

"Hey, what are you guys playing?" Cypresskit mewed excitedly as she bounded out of the nursery towards the other kits. "Can I play?" She asked again before she'd even gotten an answer.

Spiderkit glanced out of the nursery at his sister's retreating pelt and rolled his eyes.

Larkkit and Ryekit lay curled up together, both asleep, while Phoenixkit lay off to the side of her siblings, still awake.

Amberkit turned, looking at Cypresskit.
"Oh, we're playing Clan! Flowerkit is leader, I am medicine cat, and we are defeating the rogues with my power herb! You can be deputy!" he exclaimed, tail lashing.
"Have you touched the sick rogue lately..." he trailed off, not wanting the kit to get his friends and littermates sick.

"Okay!" Cypresskit agreed eagerly, jumping over next to Flowerkit.

"Why's she allowed to go outside?" Spiderkit grumbled, looking up at Dappletail.
"Because," Dappletail mewed, "Cypresskit didn't get caught putting feathers in the other kits' nests so that they would be sneezing."

As if on cue, Phoenixkit let out a sneeze and plucked another feather from her next, glaring at Spiderkit.

"She didn't get caught," Spiderkit said under his breath.

Leafbreeze coughed. When she finished coughing, she rasped to Sandstar, "We need to do something about this sickness! Maybe the medicine cats can go speak with Soulclan!"

Sandstar looked to Leafbreeze and mewed "I'm glad to hear the idea Leafbreeze, but Soulclan can't stop sicknesses. Sicknesses are usual for leaf-bare. I'm afraid if this sickness is big, we'll have to fright our way through it," with a confidence in his eyes that the sickness won't be as harmful as he thought.

Sundapple pressed her nose gently to his fur, checking for a temperature. "Here, have some of this," She picked through her herbs until she found some coltsfoot. "This should help with your breathing."
