ic: Shiningfrost padded over to the freshkill pile, then out of the camp to do some hunting.

Minnowsplash looked at Antpaw. "It depends what type of cough. For whitecough and greencough, catmint is best. For kittencough you can use coltsfoot, and for whitecough too. Tansy for other coughs, too." she said. "Sorry if i have confused you. I'm still not used to having an apprentice," she admitted.

Stonepelt padded around looking for Brightpool.

Brightpool called to her mate "Over here!" she looked at him. Seedpaw asked "Are we going hunting today?" then added "Could Brightpool come too?"

Antpaw sighed "What will work the best?"

Pinetail's joints still hurts. He looked at Minnowsplash though narrowed eyes but he thought that this should not mess up his day like it did the day before.

Minnowsplash purred. "Any, really. Catmint is the only cure for greencough though. Oh, sorry Pinetail, i didnt see you there. I'll get your poultice now," she padded away and bought back a large dried oak leaf with a poultice on it, and said to Antpaw "Can you get some poppy seeds please? They help with aches and pains." she began applying the poultice to the elder's joints.

Stonepelt purred. "Sure, Seedpaw. Maybe i'll talk to Jaystar about you becoming a warrior soon as well," he said quietly.

ic: Shiningfrost padded into the medicine den, looking for a medicine cat. "Ahh, Fernstorm! Can you please come and look at Poppypaw? I think she has whitecough," she added in a whisper.

Minnowsplash continued putting the poultice on Pinetail's joints.

Breezepaw looked for Willoweagle. Her mentor seemed to have dissapeared...

Seedpaw mewed "Could you ask my mentor if I could go hunting with you today. I do need to be tested in that anyway like most apprentices. Brightpool could watch with you." Brightpool nodded in agreement.

Pinetail sat there while Minnow splash helped him.

Antpaw sighed and ran into the medicine cat den. He sniffed around until he found a seed. He did not know if it is right "Is this Poppyseed?" he asked to no cat but still wanted an answer from someone.

Jaystar stayed by the medicine cat den, waiting to see what Poppypaw's evalution would be. It looked like she had whitecough...he hoped it wouldn't turn into greencough...or blackcough! Anyone that ever had blackcough died. He briefly remembered when he was a kittypet and when his mother's mother got a bad cough. Back then, they had called it the flu. It had gotten worse and worse and soon she was coughing up blood. Not long afterwards, she died.
Luckily, blackcough barely ever happened in the clans and he was almost positive Poppypaw would be fine, especially since they had caught it so early.

Minnowsplash finished putting the last of the poultice on, and sat up. "Yes, thats right Antpaw. Give Pinetail two of them, please." she padded off to put the oak leaf away. "Hello, Fernstorm." she said kindly.

Foxear mewed "I think I will test you in hunting today."

Pinetail looked at the seeds.

Seedpaw and Brightpool was still waitign for an answer.

Minnowsplash purred, and went over to Antpaw. "We need some more chervil too. Let's go out and find some," she sugggested, then turned to the elder. "You can go and rest now if you want to, Pinetail."

Minnowsplash padded out of the camp, glancing back to see if Antpaw was following.

Antpaw padded into the camp listening to his mentor. He carried the roots his mentor showed him how to get. What is this herb called again? he wondered to him self. He tripped over ANOTHER rock or tree root. He spat out all of the roots as he crashed to the ground.

Minnowsplash looked at Antpaw. "Are you okay?" she asked, rushing over to her apprentice and picking him up by the scruff. "There we are," she purred, cleaning a bit of dirt off his shoulder. "Come on, lets take the yarrow root into the storage."

Shiningfrost coughed once, and looked at Fernstorm. "Well?!" she said.

Breezepaw sighed. "Oh Poppypaw..." she murmured, licking her sister's shoulder.

Stonepelt waited for Foxear's reply.

Jaystar yawned and then padded outside of the camp to go and do some hunting "I'm hunting if ya need me guys!" he called as he left the camp.

Poppypaw dreamed she was in the forest. The forest was very dark and creepy. She heard a crack behind her. The small she-cat turned to see what it was. At first she found nothing, but then all of a sudden, a huge dog jumped on her back. Poppypaw dodged as the dog was about to sink his teeth deep into her pelt. The dog then her pinned down to where she couldn't move. With the dog on top of her, Poppypaw tried to claw at the dog's belly, but couldn't. The dog bit her throat, causing blood to gash out. Poppypaw then jerked awake. She opened her eyes, glanced around. She was relieved to be back in the medicine den. The startled she-cat sat in her next panting, with her eyes wide opened in fear.
