Kestrelpaw nodded, hissing as some of the chilly moss plopped onto her back.
Wolfblaze trotted into camp, tail held high.
"We found no clues except a black claw and a few tufts of fur!" she announced halfheartedly.

Seedflight hurried in behind Wolfblaze. "There was also stale cat scents, but it probably does not mean anything," she announced.

Cloudmuzzle poked her head sleepily out of the warrior's den. "What are you talking about?" She looked at the crowd of cats around the entrance.

Mouse-brains. Wolfblaze muttered under her breath.
"The freakin' clues about who injured Emberflank." she tried to stay calm, every nerve screaming at her not to leap onto Seedflight.

Cloudmuzzle widened her eyes at the retort and the news about Emberflank. Why is Wolfblaze so grumpy?

Seedflight shuffled her paws at the cold feeling coming trom Wolfblaze. She glanced nervously at her, twitching her ears.

"The stale scents smelled of someone from this Clan. Form a line if you were out this morning!" Wolfblaze instructed, ears going flat.

Seedflight stayed where she was. She had not gone out, so she was not a suspect.

Leapingwillow heard the call, and mewed to Pumpkinpaw, "C'mon, we were out. We need to go into the line!" She started to go.

Pumpkinpaw hesitantly followed, taking her place beside her mentor.
Wolfblaze nodded at Leapingwillow.
"Thank you." she meowed, but nothing else.

"You're welcome!" She mewed. She looked around for more cats to come.

Greytree walked back to camp, panting slightly. She stumbled and fell from exhaustion. She was tired and weary, and her trips out of camp was too much for her now.

Wolfblaze, fuming, led the elder to the line.
"You were just out with us. It doesn't matter if we saw you." she growled.
Pumpkinpaw bounced up and down, waiting patiently.

Greytree followed, and in the line, ber vision got fuzzy and she almost fainted.

Leapingwillow helped support the elder, worrying. Is she ok? I hope she won't die!

Pumpkinpaw, being the former medicine cat apprentice, knew lots of herbs to help this.
"Oh no!" she mewed, hopping out of line and running into the medicine den.
"Duskfall! Help! Greytree's fainted!" when she realized she was already helping an injured apprentice, she sighed and grabbed some celandine.
She hurried out and trickled the juice into her fuzzy eye.

Greytree shuddered with confusion. What's going on now?

Emberflank heard the commotion and wanted to go out, but couldn't. He was feeling stuck in one place, and he was glad that his blood was not still gushing.

Pumpkinpaw let out a gasp of relief when Greytree slowly woke up.
"Are you okay, Greytree?" she mewed worriedly.

"I'm fine..." she mumbled, her vision still fuzzy. She felt a small sharp pain in her chest and winced.

Pumpkinpaw mimicked what she had saw Duskfall do earlier and dabbed some slightly chilly moss on Greytree's chest.
What if it's greencough? Or worse? Bloodcough! she thought to herself, every nerve screaming at her to get out of the way in case Greytree was contagious.

Pumpkinpaw shivered, flattening herself to the ground. She trickled the last bits of celandine juice into her eyes and scattered back into the medicine den, tossing the plentiful leaf back into the pile and joining Leapingwillow again with a shudder.

Greytree stoped struggling as her sight got cloudier. She hated that sight, and was confused. Why had she had fine vision, but not now?

Duskfall heard commotion outside. "I'll be right back." Duskfall mewed to Kestrelpaw. She padded outside the den and saw Grayleaf. "Did she collapse?" Duskfall asked to Pumpkinpaw.

Pumpkinpaw saw Duskfall and let out a sigh of relief.
"Yes, she fainted," she explained, straightening her back.
"Her eyes looked fuzzy so I gave her some celandine. Is that okay? I know my stuff."

Pumpkinpaw nodded, realizing her mistake. Ever since becoming a warrior apprentice she had forgot much of her medicine cat training from Sorrelheart. She gave a soft "oh" and gazed into the elders empty eyes as she lay faint on the ground.

Greytree rasped, "I haven't been coughing. My chest has a small sharp pain amd my vision is all fuzzy." She shivered.

Leapingwillow watched helplessly as Greytree laid there.

Pumpkinpaw nodded, still thinking about greencough. What if Greytree really had caught it? Or even worse, bloodcough? Pumpkinpaw surely didn't want to catch it, so she got up, shook out her fur, and awkwardly shuffled away from the faint elder.

Greytree shivered, from her nose to the tip of her mangled tail. First Emberflank, now Greytree? What's happening? She looked up with cloudy eyes at Duskfall. Her chest hurt nore, amd she gasped.

Pumpkinpaw rushed into the medicine den and grabbed the herbs for Duskfall, carefully padding back and setting them down in front of her.
"Here you go." she mewed with a squeaky voice.
"Anything else?" she asked quietly, wanting to have an excuse to get away from the maybe-sick Greytree.

BIC: Pumpkinpaw remembered how Sorrelheart would train her to do that. She had forgot a lot and just shot a glance at the medicine den every once in a while, hearing the squealing of kits instead and she couldn't help it but let out a small chuckle.

Greytree nodded slowly. She stumbled over to Duskfall. Greytree could barely see, and used her sense of smell to locate her. "I-I can't see much," she whispered hoarsly.

Greytree collasped into the nest. She panted and her vision was almost comepletely gone. Greytree tried to uphold her vision, straining. She looked in Duskfall's direction, and asked hoarsly, "Why can't I see well?"

"Well, I was perfectly fine when I got up! There wasn't anything wrong!" Greytree weakly protested. Her chest started hurting more, amd more sharply. Greytree winced.

Greytree cringed. Her chest felt as if something was stabbing it, like a thousand claws. She gasped and seemed to sink lower.

Greytree tried to inturrupt. Her heart didn't hurt, the sides did. Greytree managed to rasp, "It's not that!"

Kestrelpaw watched as another sick cat came stumbling in. She leaned against Aukletpaw, frightened.
Adderkit stopped playing with his mothers tail and watched the elder limp in. He cringed and hid under her belly, breathing heavily as her weight pressed his tail to the moss-lined ground.
