FireClan Shimmering Cave

FireClan's Shimmering Cave is found nearer to the higher, northern portion of the territory, and is well-hidden by bushes, brambles, and thorns attempting to take advantage of the water source.
The Shimmering Cave itself is the result of a cave in of a hollow under the ground, but over the years this hollow has become deeper, meaning that it created a sheltered cave under the natural ground held up over top of it. It is called this because of the way the water dances off the rocks at midday, when the sun at its highest point and can beam directly down through the trees.
Though it is unknown how they got there, a few small minnows along with frogs and toads thrive off the water, and the place is often filled with drinking animals from the fresh spring that pours out in a waterfall through a crack in the rocks. The cave is also filled with rarer and healthier herbs, as they are sheltered from the elements but also receive sunlight.

Redstar led her patrol here, stopping to a halt at a bush that sheltered the inside of the hollow cave. She slowly padded backwards, brushing against Sunstep, and leaped over the bush, splashing finely into the glimmering water. She followed a frog on the shore and caught it, slicing it open and tossing it under some shade in the cave.
"It's safe!" she called to her Clanmates, watching the minnows anxiously swim around, no way to escape.

Martenpaw splashed after her, shivering. "We're not WaterClan cats," he whined, "Why couldn't we have gone to a drier spot?"

Sunstep rolled his eyes, "Stop complaining." He muttered giving a sharp glance to Martenpaw. 
Sootpatch for one, agreed with Martenpaw, but decided to keep his mouth shut about it. It was his first patrol as a warrior and he wanted it to be perfect, especially with Redstar leading it.

Redstar turned around to Martenpaw. She scooped up some water in her paws and threw it at him.
"Maybe you should keep your mouth shut," she snorted with amusement.

Sunstep laughed as the water splashed onto Martenpaw's shocked face.
Sootpatch couldn't help holding in his smile as his face got all twisted up and he started snorting, trying to keep in a laugh.

Redstar flicked her tail, hearing a rustle.
"Shush!" she whispered loud enough for her whole patrol to hear.
A black shadow was hunched over in the shady part of the cave.

Martenpaw snarled in response to have water in his face, then fell silent and followed Redstar's gaze.

Redstar prowled out of the water, quiet splashes rippling across the pool. As she reached the craggy, bumpy stone floor of the cave, she approached the black figure hunched over. It looked surprised, for a shadow, and it's face was turned and glaring straight at the ripples Redstar had left. She slowly hissed and stamped her paw on the ground.
"Who are you and what are you doing on my territory?" she snarled as the shadow came into view and showed a slender brown tom with flattened ears.

Martenpaw watched curiously, not daring to move further. He might have company...

Sunstep felt rage swelling through him, What?! His territory?!

Sootpatch stood still in the water as the ripples sent lapping water onto his feet. His eyes slitted as he studied the tom. What a mouse-brained tom, thinking this is his territory.. He thought staring at the furious intruder.

OOC: Redstar said that hehe 
IC: Slash turned around with a snarl.
"Hello," he meowed mysteriously, swallowing the last morsel of his squirrel that he had caught on the border.

Redstar curled her upper lip, baring her teeth.
"Were you hunting here?" she began calmly.

OOC:  Oh lawl oops, just cross those thoughts out then

IC: Sunstep narrowed his eyes and stepped close to get a better look, he sniffed the scent wavering from the tom which made him wrinkle his nose. Smells like twoleg crow-food.. He thought with disgust. (twoleg crow-food=garbage)

Sootpatch stood still, his toes beginning to feel cold. Ergh, I hate water. It's so cold and.. unsettling.

Slash nodded with a shrug.
"I was sent here with my friend Minnow, but she was too cowardly to hunt because she picked up some scents of the Clans," he chuckled.

Redstar recoiled, still letting out low rumbles.
"This is FireClan's territory. You can't hunt here." she said firmly.

Pebblepaw shifted uncomfortably in the shallow water. Argh, it's so cold! she thought, nervously stepping onto a rock that built up the floor of the cave.

"Yeah, go hunt on DuskClan land or something. I'm sure they'll have plenty to spare." Martenpaw snorted.

Slash shrugged.
"No thanks," he mewed, licking his chops.

Redstar snarled at his snarky remark.
"You better leave now or this is going to get nasty." Redstar threatened.

"Wait, that seems kinda unfair..." Martenpaw mewed, "There's like, five of us. We should probably ask him stuff before we immediately attack."

Redstar shot a glance at Martenpaw, rolling her eyes.
"We've already asked him. Now," she turned back to the rogue.
"Leave or fight." she growled.

Slash shrugged and got up, a long, deep scar trickling blood down his leg. He blinked to adjust to the sunlight as he stepped into the pond, beginning to swim away.

Redstar was struck with pity at his leg.
"Wait," she called, splashing in after him.

"Who in SoulClan's name is Minnow?" Martenpaw whispered to Pebblepaw, so caught up in the mystery of the rogue that he forgot his anger towards her.

Pebblepaw snorted a little too loudly than she meant to. She stopped abruptly and awkwardly shuffled her paws.
"How would I know, beetle-brain?" she mewed.

"Why isn't Redstar asking all the obvious questions?" Martenpaw continued, ignoring her.

Redstar flinched when Slash turned around.
"What, umm, happened to your leg? Did it happen on our territory?" she asked, fur bristling.

Slash nodded.
"It wasn't anything. It was just my, err, master, Hershey. She scolded me and Minnow for not catching enough prey, so I came over here. It's no biggy." he explained, lip quivering as more blood began to trickle out into the pool.

Martenpaw rushed up in front of Redstar. "Who's Hershey? Is she dangerous? Who's Minnow?" he rambled, eyes wide.

Redstar flicked her tail at Martenpaw to shush him.
"Hold on, so you're saying that two other rogues were also on our territory?" she bristled.

Slash nodded curtly.
"Hershey is very dangerous. She goes wherever she pleases, and I'm part of her gang. Minnow is one of the, what you call it, apprentices, of the gang, I suppose." he explained to the apprentice.

"Why are you staying with her then?" Martenpaw mewed, trying to look authoritative.

"I don't know. I've wanted to leave her for a long time, but I scared. She can track me down and kill. May I join you cats in your Clan? Hershey rarely pays attention to Clans unless she hunting or trespassing." he mewed, a single eyebrow raised to the curious Martenpaw.

"What?" Pebblepaw hissed, flexing her claws.

He doesn't seem to speak all that well...maybe he didn't have much contact with others as a kit? Martenpaw wondered.

Redstar raised an eyebrow.
"Join our Clan? Well, ummm.." she turned to her patrol, but ignored the fuming Pebblepaw.

Sunstep shrugged about the idea and stared at his brother for a comment, he still didn't like he idea of the rouge joining them, he could b a spy.

Sootpatch flicked his tail," Maybe if he joins, we can get more information about those other rouges trespassing in our territory." He pointed out.

Redstar nodded to Sootpatch and turned back to Slash.
"If we agree to give you food and shelter and a family, you'll give us all the information you know on Hershey and her gang, alright?" she mewed, shoulders still tense in case he decided to attack.

Slash brightened up, purring.
"Of course! It's deal!" he mewed and twitched his whiskers as a few snowflakes fluttered down on them.

Pebblepaw snorted quietly. She still thought he was a bit suspicious, but she went along with it.
"We should get back to camp and get you to our medicine cats, Soraflight and Silversky." she suggested, flinching every time she glanced over at his bleeding leg.

Sunstep nodded, he turned around, starting to inch forward to the shore wanting to get out of th water.

Sootpatch flashed a grin, happy that Redstar found what he said would work. He glanced at Pebblepaw, whom he had like as an apprentice.

Redstar shook the flurries off her coat angrily as she flicked her tail and led her patrol back to camp. Pebblepaw followed in between Sootpatch and Slash, keeping a close eye on the rogue as she walked.

Martenpaw walked behind Redstar, kind of disappointed they didn't get to hunt but too curious about the stranger to care.
