OOC: It's literally been two hours roleplay time, cats are incredibly good at conserving food in situations where they need to save it. And Redstripe and Stormshadow are basically good as dead right now, they went out in a blizzard. Do you know what a blizzard looks like on a mountain? The snow's so thick you cannot see, the wind is strong enough to knock a human over, and the temperature is well below zero.

Leafwhisper jolted awake to the blizzard roaring in her ears. The lingering images from her dreams haunted her brain. Leafwhisper shivered, and looked around. "W-where did Stormshadow and Redstripe go?" She couldn't find their scent, because the other scents muffled each other.

Dapplestar jolted in horror. No! She looked around wildly. Mouse-brained pieces of fox-dung! Why is it so impossible to listen! Dapplestar could hear something collapsing nearby. They're dead, they're good as dead.

"Dapplestar, where did they go?" Leafwhisper asked in a small, scared voice. She saw images of what could happen to them, horrible things. If it turned night and Stormshadow and Redstripe were still out, there would be no chance for them.

Dapplestar looked out. The snow was falling so thickly, it was impossible to see through it. But she knew she had to do something. She rose from her nest and walked straight into the freezing winds. She immediately felt her paws and nose stinging from the cold. With great effort, she struggled across camp towards the exit. She had to find them.
A large, once sturdy pine growing out of the mountainside, creaked threateningly. The sound was carried away in the wind. The roots, after a long struggle to grip the stone, gave in. The tree fell.
Dapplestar heard snapping and didn't have time to react as the pine tree fell on top of her. The world faded to black.

She looked around. Everything had turned into a starry sky. She felt frozen in place.
"Back again, I see." a familiar voice sounded. Her father, Falconflight, padded forward, along with her old friend Mintfeather.
"So, I guess this is what loosing a life feels like." Dapplestar sighed. Mintfeather nodded to her. "
Well, you need to get back and save your Clanmates, so we won't keep you long." her father mewed.
"Just enough time to catch up." Dapplestar agreed.

IC: Coldnose heard a threatening snap by the entrance and limped out, gasping as the cold, howling winds harshly stung his hurt tail. He squinted and saw a lump of something peeking out from under a sturdy pine tree. He prodded the tree, pushing with all his might.
"Oh dear..." he mewed, nearly falling over at his own fear.

The warmth of SoulClan faded as Dapplestar blinked awake. The cold of the blizzard hit her, and she shivered. "Coldnose." she rasped, rising to her feet. "Redstripe and Stormshadow, they left camp. We need to... we need to save them."

Coldnose thumped his shivering body into the tree stump, trying to get it off of Dapplestar's tail.
"Can you get out?" he asked nervously.

Dapplestar hadn't even noticed that part of the tree was still on her. She heaved at the trunk, shifting it enough to move her tail. The end was bent, but otherwise fine.
"Yeah. I'm fine, the tree just hit me in the side I think." she mewed, not wanting to reveal she'd lost a life.

"Didn't you tell them not to go outside? Nevertheless putting themselves in danger now!" he mewed worriedly about the warriors that had left camp.

Leafwhisper waited anxiously for her leader and brother to come back. She wilished everything was back to normal, even if her legs still always ached.

Someone gets it. She huffed. "Well, some cats are mouse-brains." The storm seemed to be dying down a bit, so it was easier to see the landscape around her. Most of the dens were blocked off by ice and snow and a new pile of boulders had ended up near the entrance.

Leafwhisper heard the howling wind outside, muffled by the snow. She could only see white outside, white everywhere. The den was a bit cold, like an early leaf-fall chill. The feeling in her legs were returning, but still ached very much.

Coldnose, immediately shot by paranoia, held in a tiny gasp.
What if a huge block of ice, like the one in front of the warriors den, had fallen on the entrance? Then we'd be stuck out here, f-for-forever.... he felt dizzy as he took a deep breath and squinted at the horizon line, seeing a blur of two cats take off.
"I-I think they're heading to the Small-Trees." he meowed nervously.

Coldnose scrambled back in fear at the she-cat's growl.
"I-I'm sorry, Dapplestar." he meowed awkwardly as he tried to pad back into the windy camp casually.
He rested his head on his paws, curling his tail around Leafwhisper.

Quickstep finally woke up from her nap and stretched out, mumbling to herself, then rolled over again in her nest. "Is the blizzard over?" she muttered sleepily.
Dapplestar stepped over the fallen tree, a shiver going down her spine like someone had walked on her grave, and to the tallrock. She clambered up onto the rock and called, "All clear!"
