" Mhmm, sure." Sparrowkit meowed doubtfully, glancing at her with a twitch of his ear. He nosed Sedgekit, and curled up next to her.

Sedgekit piled ontop of Sparrowkit, the front half of herself over top of her brother, she tucked her nose under her paw, and fell asleep, snoring softly.

Brindlestripe gazed at the nursery entrance, hoping the storm wouldn't scare her kits. She pulled them closer and sighed.
Flamekit shivered from a small draft of cold air. He snuggled into his mother's brown fur.

Rowankit frowned at the kit's sarcastic reply until a loud thunder boomed overhead, probably the loudest she had ever heard, and longest. Rowankit yelped in fear, flinching from the sound and rushing over to her littermates. She quickly stepped among them and curled up between Honeykit and Mosskit, with Brackenkit across her.

Honeykit squeakd, her eyes widening. She shivered with fear, and snuggled up to her sister. She tucked her nose into Rowankit's fur, and tried to hide underneath her.

Mosskit looked at Rowankit. "Aw. C'mon. There's nothing to be afraid of." She said comfortingly, nuzzling her brother. She kept her voice calm for her brother, but the fur along her spine bristled harshly.

Acornwhisker tucked her tail around the two kits, resting her head down beside their small bodies. "Are you okay?" she purred softly, trying to soothe them.
Milkweed relaxed a little, breathing in her adoptive mother's already comforting scent. "Y-yes."

Bramblepaw sat in the apprentices den, shaking her head when she saw the empty nests of her denmates, counting six empty piles of moss. Good luck to them, being mouse brains hunting in weather like this.

Rowankit huffed and sat back down, curling her tail around her paws. "Fine, but I'm still going to be the bravest apprentice." She meowed, holding her chin up high.

Doespring's eyes flew open at another flash and boom. Her fur prickled, but she soon relaxed when she realised that it was only a storm. The sound of rain pattering on the den roof was rhythmic and soothing.

Waspkit squeaked at the storm. "Mama! I'm scared!" She screamed as she ran over to Littlelily and leaped on her mother's back, holding it tightly.

Mudstreak grumbled as he watched the storm. "This weather brings no good." He said angrily. "I guess after the storm I can see if any herbs survived..."

Flintkit woke up to the storm, and hissed in annoyance. He cursed loudly, before trying to curl up again. "Oh my badger-faced SoulClan could this storm shut up so I can sleep?!" he hissed.

Mosskit looked at Rowankit. "Right right. You'll be the bravest." she rolled her eyes playfully.

Duskfrost was inside the warrior's den looking outside watching it rain and storm. He was hoping it would pass soon even though he knew it had already been coming down like this for days. Still, duties had to be done. He decided to go talk to Redstar to see if he should try to organize a border patrol despite the weather or if they should try to wait and see if it would let up a little bit first. He padded towards Redstar's den and poked his head in saying, "Redstar?"

Doespring's eyes flew open, hearing the commotion. She padded out of the den cautiously, seeing blood on the ground and startled cats.
"What happened?" She asked, unease growing under her pelt.

"Apparently some apprentices were attacked," Hawkstep meowed aloud. "They could have easily prevented this by asking a warrior." He scoffed, disappearing into the nursery to check up on his kits.

Daffodilkit was climbing his mother, Brindlestripe, but scrambled towards his father when he entered the nursery.

Flamekit blindly stepped on his mother's ear, giggling when she twitched it away.

Doespring furrowed her brow. Why were the apprentices hurt, and what would come of it?

Sunstep quickly calmed himself down at the approach of Doespring, "Yea, I guess." He meowed, nodding to himself, although he stared at the she-cat for a few heartbeats without noticing.

IC: Pebblesplash butted heads with Sootpatch and thought about how well Owlpaw, her brother, was taking the injury. She hoped he could save Cloudpaw; a death on top of all this fighting between the Clans would crush the whole of FireClan.

Sootpatch purred in reply and licked his mate's forehead quickly before flicking his tail. "Would you like to share tongues right now? I've been wanting to catch up with you for a while now." He meowed, poitning out how they were so busy, they rarely got to sit down and talk.

Dawnmist rolled her eyes, spotting her half-brother and purred in amusement. "Love-birds." She muttered and elbowed Sunstep humorously.

Sunstep only growled in a playful way, "Pfft, my brother only got a mate before me because he's a nerd." He mumbled with a grin.

"I think it's interesting how they find ways to give social ranks to each of the cats usually much different from the Clan ways. I remember encountering a cat named Minkura, and she didn't have apprentices or kits or warriors, just members and advisors." Pebblesplash replied, crouching down and nabbing a juicy piece of meat from the bird.

Martenpaw trudged into camp, paws sore but refreshed from his brief and unexpected nap. He spotted Pebblesplash but didn't have the energy to start an argument with his old denmate and instead sitting down next to the preyheap. I can't believe how badly that went.

Sootpatch perked his ears in interest, gulping down his black bird and licking his whiskers. "Hm, that sounds weird. I wonder how they cope with the injured or wounded. You know, my half-sister is a loner, I'm not sure what happened to her now though." He meowed, remembering when he visited Maple and Deer.

Acornwhisker's ears pricked as she heard a commotion in the camp, making her think for a moment. She got up, leaving Milkweed and Barley in the nest sleeping soundly, and walked outside into the drizzling rain, just as lightning cracked the sky open again.
