FireClan Camp

Barley flicked his eyes open, and let out a terribly high-pitched squeal. He prodded Milkweed with his paw. "Where's Acornwhisker?" he mewed worriedly, eyes widened as he glanced frantically around the nursery.

OOC: Guys we need to get the plot moving! Aqua we need Mudstreak to be involved in this attack, Owlpaw can't do it all by himself.

"It wasn't BrightClan!" Martenpaw announced, trotting behind Acornwhisker. "The ones attacking us smelled like carrion and detested the Clan name! I think they were rogues. 
Robinpaw sat at Cloudpaw's side, her tail twitching nervously as she waited for the other medicine cat to help.

Bramblepaw rolled her eyes, not surprised Martenpaw had ignored her. 

Acornwhisker frowned. "Rogues? Really?" She turned back to Nightpelt. "What will we do, then?"

Nightpelt sucked in air and breathed slowly to calm himself down a bit. "We'll wait for Redstar. The rogues were probably only passing through, and it's not a good idea for us to chase after them when we could be attacked any moment now." He meowed, looking up at Acornwhisker with hope she agreed with him. Where's Darkfrost when you need him? He wondered quickly to himself.

OOC: @Aquastar please roleplay Mudwhisker!

Acornwhisker nodded slowly. "All right, you're the boss. I'd still prefer to check they've left, but that makes sense. I'll get some cats helping me to reenforce the barriers."

Nightpelt nodded, "Thank you. Maybe we can send a patrol out to make sure they don't return in the morning, when the weather is hopefully nicer." He meowed, dipping his head to the senior queen.

OOC: umm recap pls idk what flurrypaw should be doing

OOC: A group of rogues attacked some apprentices and one of them (Cloudpaw) is in critical conditions. Since Aqua isn't really roleplaying you can just jump in for now?

OOC: alright, thanks! Where is cloudpaw btw

IC: Flurrypaw quickly went towards Cloudpaw. "Where's he hurt?" she asked, picking out the herbs she thought she'd need.

OOC: In the medicine cat's den lol so you're good
IC: Flamepaw hurried beside Flurrypaw, watching his unconscious sister with a frown. "Is she going to be alright?" he asked shakily.

"She should be," Flurrypaw mewed as she got some herbs, patting some herbs onto his wounds and putting cobwebs over the top. "She'll have to stay here for a while though."

Owlpaw rolled his eyes at Flurrypaw. "It's infected," he pointed out quietly, noting the sides of the wound.

Flurrypaw cursed. "Fox-dung!  I still don't know this stuff!" she muttered under her breath, really hoping one of her mentors would show up. She took the cobwebs off, looking through the herbs to find one that could help the infection.

Ic: Owlpaw hummed. "Marigold might help. If we have any left?" He glanced behind him, then back to the unconscious Cloudpaw. "Mix in some poppy seeds too, she might sleep better."

Flurrypaw nodded, mixing a poltuce and putting in some poppy seeds. "We only have a bit of marigolds left, we might have to get some more." she said, picking the marigold and putting it with the poppy seeds, then giving it to Cloudpaw.

Owlpaw helped to layer the poultice over Cloudpaw's wounds, the unconscious apprentice not reacting in the slightest. He grabbed a clean cobweb and sealed the wound shut, gulping. "It might leave a scar, but she's in SoulClan's paws now," he nodded, looking up at Flamepaw with an unfaltering gaze.

ooc: same deal as BrightClan, bumping because I'm sick of inactivity

Flamepaw padded out of the medicine den slowly, gazing up at the slowly darkening sky. He ignored the small raindrops on his nose and watched a single star peek out in the distance. He hoped it wasn't Cloudpaw. "Oh, Cloudpaw, what will I do without you?" he moaned, sitting by the fresh-kill pile and snacking on a vole as he waited for the medicine cat's results.

Mudstreak walked into the medicine den with the herbs he had collected from earlier. He let out a small gasp and walked over. "What happened?"

Nightpelt motioned over to the medicine cat that just arrived. "Cloudpaw is severely injured, rogues were attacking them when they were out hunting." He explained, nodding to the groaning apprentice.

OOC: unconscious*

IC: Flurrypaw watched her mentor come in. "I put marigolds and a poltuce on her infected wounds after Owlpaw made it, and I put cobwebs on the other wounds." she summarized.

When Mudstreak saw that the wounds were infected, he turned to Owlpaw and Flurrypaw. "Have you tried Chevril yet?" He asked, his voice slightly panicked.

"We used marigold, we don't have any chervil." Flurrypaw said, "and it was only the one wound that got infected."

"Ah, okay then." He inspected the infection. "We will have to wait and see for that. Do we happen to have any Goldenrod? I want to put a bit on to be safe." He said.

Flurrypaw padded over to the herbs, looking round and taking out some goldenrod, putting it in front of Mudstreak.

He dipped his head in thanks and started to chew the herb. he lifted the cobwebs carefully and dabbed a bit on the wounds. He put the cobweb back on and gave a sigh of relief. "I just hope that will be enough."

Flamepaw padded into the apprentices den, gaping his jaws in an enormous yawn. He sat down in his nest and rasped his tongue over his wounds on his chest and shoulder. He rested his head on his paws and closed his eyes, trying to forget about the Clan for a second.

Rowankit yawned and blinked one drowsy eye open, finally relaxed after the thunder wasn't as loud. She crept over to Barley's and Milkweed's nest and prodded them quietly. "Wanna talk? I can't sleep." She whispered, sending worried glances around.

Robinpaw sat down next to Flamepaw to show sympathies.
Martenpaw sulked by the apprentice den. Frog-guts. Why did my patrol have to go so badly? Why did I got to the border? Mouse-dung and frog-guts.

Snowfire wrinkled her nose as she smelled blood from the nearby medicine den. She sighed and finally got up from her nest, making her way over to the moaning cats and poking her head in. "Do you need help?" She asked, her voice soft, almost like a summer breeze. It was uncommon for the former rogue to talk to others, even more to confront them, but she couldn't help seeing, or hearing, young cats in pain, for it reminded her of her dead kits.

Flarepaw raised her head from where they lay on her paws and watched the anxious apprentices enter the den. "What's wrong?" She questioned, blinking the sleep out of her eyes.

"Cloudpaw got hurt on patrol." Martenpaw grumbled to the sleepy apprentice.

Flintkit looked at Rowankit, and blinked. He shifted into a better position and shivered. He closed his eyes but eventually opened them again and sat up, grooming moss out of his fur. He was getting too big for the nursery.

Rowankit shrugged as the two younger kits seemed to be too sleepy and drowsy to wake up and talk. Out of the corner of her eye, she noticed Flintkit was awake. She grinned, and trotted over, wanting to finally talk to a kit her age; and one soon enough to become an apprentice like her. "Hi!" She whispered from behind the tom, hoping to scare him.

Brindlestripe looked at her newborn kits, worry pulling on her heart. What if her kits were attacked? She was still weak from kitting, so an attack wouldn't end well. Their fragile bodies squired against her flank, small spots of warmth that comforted her troubled self.

Snowfire watched Brindlestripe with curiosity. Ever since she had her kits and half the litter died, she really never had the urge to join as a warrior. So, the former loner stayed as a queen in the nursery den, helping out whenever it was needed. She padded over to Brindlestripe's nest and smiled warmly, "They're beautiful." She complimented, nodding to the newborn kits, "Have you chosen names?" The cream tabby questioned.

"Yes," Brindlestripe murmured. "Their names are Brightkit, Daffodilkit, and Flamekit." She smiled softly at Snowfire.

Flamekit turned his head towards the new voice. Though he couldn't see, he could still smell and was curious. But that was quickly lost to his siblings.

Snowfire purred, "Those are nice names." She meowed, nodding. After a few moments of silence, she flicked her tail, "If you need any help, you can ask me." She meowed, padding back to her nest and curling up, thinking of her dead kits. Only one remained, although she was already out of the nursery.

Pebblesplash snatched a mouse from the top of the fresh-kill pile and lingered around camp, not sure what to do. After a while she wasn't too hungry anymore so she padded into the elders den and dropped the mouse for the elders to all share. Since there weren't too many, she figured it would be enough.

Barley pricked his ears at the recognizable sound of Rowankit's voice and purred. He was already getting used to the Clans and he was glad Rowankit was him and Milkweed's first friend. He got up and padded over to the kit. "Hey, do you guys play games? Like capture the stick or battlefield?" he mewed, letting Milkweed get her sleep.

Daffodilkit rose his tiny little head and sniffed wildly. He racked his memory and remembered that that was the scent of a queen; the milk, even though it was dry, was still clinging to Snowfire's pelt. He reached out a paw and rested his head on it, propping his hind paws up on Brindlestripe's back.

Flintkit looked around, before turning to Rowankit. His eyes were clouded with mixed emotions, but he blinked when Rowankit spoke. He put on a fake smile and tried to be nice. "Hey, Rowankit. 'Sup?"

Sootpatch quickly sneaked up on Pebblesplash, and without warning bumped his head onto her side, aiming to startle her in a playful way.

Rowankit grinned as Barley finally awoke and approached her. She didn't have many friends, besides, her littermates barely ever played with her. "Yea, we can play that!" She responded to Barley, and turned to Flintkit, "You wanna join us?" She invited with a slight purr.

Snowfire blinked her eyes and raised her brow in surprise as one of the kits rested it's head on her pelt. "Oh." She meowed in a faint voice. The queen purred and laughed quietly, "You've got a climber here!" She meowed, watching Daffodilkit.

" Can.. I join?" Sparrowkit asked quietly, twitching his ear and creaping around his siblings to reach the three kits at Flintkits nest.

Rowankit flicked her tail, "Sure!" She mrowed in excitement. "But we've gotta stay quiet, or the queens will scold us." She mewed, bringing her tone down now.

Brindlestripe purred. "Yes, she will make a great warrior!" She gently licked Daffodilkit's flank and kept her head close in case she fell.

IC: Daffodilkit jerked up and head butted gently in Brindlestripe's chest, purring raggedly. He reached his paws out and pretended to claw at something so he could show he was already a great warrior.

Darkwillow padded through camp, purring at the sounds of new kits in the den. The clan was thriving, and it seemed to bring back many memories from her past as an apprentice. Tumbling around with Nightpelt, beating her mentor in a battle and catching a rabbit all by herself. She sighed, her purr fading away. Will I ever have kits? Much less a mate? She wondered, sitting down and staring at the clouds that floated by.

Flamekit squeaked and prodded at his mother's side.

Owlpaw huffed. "I've already treated Cloudpaw's wounds once, Mudstreak. Do you really not trust me enough?" he gulped, worried he'd done something wrong.
The white and grey apprentice groaned in her sleep, the heat radiating from her body able to be felt from almost a tail-length away.

Pebblesplash nearly leaped out of her fur as she felt a soft touch on her flank. She turned around and sighed, rolling her eyes in amusement, when she saw it was just Sootpatch. "Hello again," she purred. "Are you as bored as I am?"

Barley lashed his tail with excitement. "Yay! Should we play capture the stick and battlefield, or one of your Clan games?" he asked, glancing back at Milkweed and watching her chest rise and fall from her faint breathes as she slept.

Snowpaw stretched inside the apprentice's den, feeling a little sick from the nightmare she just had. She then decided to go outside and see what the others were doing, and where her mentor was. She wanted to train, but mainly to be away from the other apprentices and the kits too. She didn't feel like being bothered much today.
