IC: Beetlestorm yawned as he padded over to the crowd of cats gathering around the deputies; awaiting orders. He perked his tall, tufted ears to hear if he was called to join.

Hollyshade watched Russetstar leave and whispered something to Carnelianpaw, nodding at Spiderfang and hurrying after the leader. "Russetstar, I have to talk to you about the meeting last night." she meowed in a hushed voice. "Morningshine and Featherwhisker were there."

Russetstar turned to Hollyshade, a spark of interest in his weary gaze as he heard Morningshine's name, the previous medicine cat of DuskClan. He gave her a nod, and beckoned to his den with his tail, soon entering it silently, and sitting down on his nest.

Russetstar remained still, but his face had lit up with hope. "That's wonderful! I can have patrols be organized to search for the herbs needed," He meowed, tail twitching restlessly, "Did they say anything else?"

OOC: Actually Sky, it's not for the sickness, she simply collapsed from exhaustion as she's only 9 moons and was up all night treating ill cats. If you look a few posts back, possibly a page back, she was tripping as she was walking with herbs. And for the second reason it's not detailed, I said I was going to do this in Discord. Now you were offline, but Aqua and Willow both saw it. Thanks for the tip, but I don't really need it Very Happy

Tulippaw clamped her jaws around a yawn before replying. "Under the waterfall again. You know the way." She winked at Hawksky before managing to summon energy from somewhere and darting off.

Blizzardtuft finally woke from the commotion in camp, and he wrinkled his nose at the disgusting scent of sickness. Dear SoulClan, will this ever end? he thought, padding into the medicine den to speak with Coldfoot.

Silverpaw padded towards Carnelianpaw, gently nudging the shecat awake. "Hey, I'll help you to your nest," she mewed to the ginger tabby.

Carnelianpaw yawned and nodded, getting to her paws and leaning against Silverpaw as the shecat helped her to the medicine den. Once there, she padded inside and slumped into her nest.

Spiderfang blinked as Carnelianpaw was helped into the medicine cat den. He dragged himself forward. "Are you okay?" He meowed, blinking his amber eyes as he noticed her exhausted look.

Stormpoppy opened her eyes blearily, a cough making her entire frame shake. "H-h..." she couldn't even speak, her eyes drooping again.

Silverpaw pricked her ears when she heard her brother's mentor attempting to speak, rushing over to Carnelianpaw and shaking her awake. The ginger tabby awoke with an irritated grumbling, looking up at the younger shecat for an explanation. "Stormpoppy needs something," she mewed and backed out.

Carnelianpaw sighed and pushed herself to her paws, looking around for the right herbs as she tried to clear her sleep-addled mind.

Spiderfang blinked worriedly as Carnelianpaw drowsily searched for herbs. "Are you sure you're fit to work?" He meowed, dragging himself over to Stormpoppy, and picking up a soaked moss from the stacked pile. "Here drink this," He explained, setting down the dripping moss beside her muzzle.

Goldenmouse half-woke up, slightly opening one of her eyes. Her mouth let out a raspy cough, and she sniffled, wheezing. She licked her chapped-up lips; her mouth was dry. She went back to sleep.

Hollyshade smiled weakly. "I'll pick out a few warriors myself. Thankfully the herbs aren't too rare, so I think we'll be able to find them easily." she meowed, dipping her head to Russetstar. She padded out of his den and saw Spiderfang and Carnelianpaw working with some patients. "I'm going out to collect some herbs for the cure, if any of you want to come with you can definitely tag along. I'm picking a few warriors to come as well." she flattened her ears, not being able to gather even a sliver of hope for this remedy.

Cinderpaw let out a raspy cough. She squeezed her way into the medicine den and let out a tired and raspy mew to let them know she was there. Her sickness had kept her awake most of the night.

Spiderfang frowned. "Wake up Stormpoppy," He mewed softly, "You need to drink." He gently prodded her flank with one paw, not wanting to cause pain. As Hollyshade poked her head in, he dipped his head, sadness hitting him as he remembered he wouldn't be able to keep up with the herb-gathering patrol. "Thanks, but I'll stay here in case any of the sick wake up," He meowed with a small shrug.

Russetstar nodded, slipping out the den and heading over to Littleflower, and Scorpionclaw. "May I have a word with you two?" He meowed, flicking his tail.

Dovefrost glanced at her belly as she felt stronger kicks then ever. Paranoid her kits were coming any second, she took deep breaths, flattening her ears. I'm not ready for this! She thought in panic.

Just tired from all that walking last night." she lied, shifting her gaze over the clearing and picking out the stronger warriors. "Shrewpuddle, Smokeheart, and Shadowblaze? I'm going out to collect some herbs, and I was advised to bring a few of you with."

Littleflower turned to Russetstar, her fur rippling in the wind. "Of course. Is something wrong?" she meowed, simultaneously picking some moss out from between her claws.

Russetstar twitched his whiskers. "Anything but wrong," He meowed gleefully, "SoulClan has spoken, and given us a cure, and I need you to organize patrols for herb-hunting. Have Hollyshade describe the herbs' appearance later."

Shrewpuddle stretched as she heard her name called, and flexed her claws. "Okay," She meowed, padding over, "But don't expect me to put those herbs in my mouth! Last time I chewed one for my cold, I couldn't taste even the juiciest mouse for days!"

"Really? That's amazing! Things are definitely looking up for us. Looks like Hollyshade is taking a few warriors now, but I'll send a bigger patrol later to scout the entire territory for these herbs." Littleflower mewed, beaming.

Hollyshade rolled her eyes at Shrewpuddle. "Alright, but you'll have to take about two hours making a basket out of wood to carry them in instead." she chuckled slightly, flicking her tail and leading the three warriors out of camp.
