HTTYD: Delta Island

Orion rolled his eyes and lied down, looking at the sky. "Its late, we better get back before Cindy starts panicking."

"Alright," Zirconia sighed, then smiled and looked up at Orion. "Lets head back... do you remember the way?"

Orion rolled his eyes in amusement. "Come on." He said and walked to the entrance of the cave, waiting for her.

Zirconia followed Orion, smiling still.

Avalanche was wandering the island and looking around for Lily. "Lily?! Where are you?!" she shouted, worried.

Ruddy was asleep among one of the rooftops, ignoring the calls of the Terrible Terrors.

Honeythorn was asleep until he heard Avalanche's call. "Will you keep it down?" He grumbled.

Avalanche heard this and came over to him. "Forgive me for asking, but........who are you?" she asked him. Her white scales shining in the sunlight.

Honeythorn picked up his head and yawned, stretching. "I am Honeythorn."

Avalanche tilted her head to the side and then stepped closer. "It's dawn now, so you need to wake up." she told him bravely.

Honeythorn rolled his eyes and got to his paws. "What do you want."

Avalanche blinked her blue eyes and frowned. "Maybe for you to enjoy the day?" she suggested calmly.

Honeythorn rolled his eyes and got a good look at the dragon. What he saw made him regret the harshness in his voice. It was Avalanche, the prettiest dragon ever. Oh thor don't let her ever know that I thought that. He thought. Her beautiful rare blue eyes and white scales were beautiful in the sunrise.

Avalanche lifted her ears a little to listen for a response that hadn't come. She glanced around for Lily but she couldn't find her still. He'd note her tail flaps were missing so she couldn't fly yet. "I'm Avalanche." she introduced herself.

Atlanta nudged Aurora. “Can we go flying? But first how are the others? Ive missed them.” She said cheerfully, her light blue hair shimmering in the morning sun.

Honeythorn gulped and smiled. "I... I'm Honeythorn.." He stammered. He immediately regrated saying that, as he sounded stupid.

'Stop stammering! You sound pathetic for a dragon!'
'But.. Dad!'
'You are a pathetic excuse for a dragon.'
The big Woolly Howl grabbed the flightless hatchling and threw him into the water in the ocean. 'Stay away from this island or you will regret it!'

Honeythorn didn't realise he had been staring off into the distance.

Aurora smiled and licked Atlanta's hair. "They are fine, dont worry." She said, offering her her back to ride..

“Thanks. See you later Angela!” Atlanta said and jumped on top, happy to be on top of her best friend again. She waved to Ocean. “Take care of her for me!”

Avalanche smiled at him and then frowned a bit at him looking away. "Are you hungry?" she asked him.

Honeythorn nodded. "Sure, I could eat."

Aurora took off into the air. "Where to?"

Atlanta shrugged. “Anywhere but the dragon hunter’s island, unless you want to torment some hunters.” She joked, her fingers running over the bow that was on her shoulder, her eyes flicking towards the bag with arrows.

Avalanche smiled and then began leading him off towards the water. "Come on Honeythorn, lets go catch some fish." she told him.

Honeythorn took off towards the sea then landed. "So, what will you be doing today?"

Aurora laughed and flew around the island before finding a clearing and landing.

Lily had been up all night working on a tail for Avalanche.

Avalanche frowned a bit. "Hopefully flying again." she told him as she followed him by foot. "My rider is coming up with plans for a new tail." she added in.

“Nice area.” Atlanta remarked, glancing around. The sun glimmered in the corner of her eye and she looked away, her dark blue eyes glancing up at Aurora.

Honeythorn smiled. "Awesome!" He said. "Personally I dont want a rider."

Aurora smiled and layed down, watching the clouds.

Avalanche blinked her eyes a little and gulped. "I used to not have a rider too, back when my parents abandoned me." she told him and then gulped. She probably shouldn't tell him about that.

Honeythorn sighed. "I know how that feels."

Avalanche blinked her eyes. "You do?" she asked curiously. She flicked her ears down a little bit.

Honeythorn mentally slapped himself. "I was thrown into the sea as a hatchling. I had failed my father too many times."

Avalanche frowned deeply. "I was abandoned because of the color of my scales. I mean what is a Night Fury with white scales, it is against the laws of nature in a way. All Night Furies are supposed to be black scaled, not white scaled. What am I to be called, a Day Fury?" she asked him. She then sighed as she reached the water.

Honeythorn looked at her. "A day fury actually suits the beauty of your scales. You look just like the sky on a good day."

Avalanche felt herself blush before she actually was. She smiled a little and lowered her ears, embarrassed. "Thanks, but I'm not pretty." she told him softly before she scanned the water for a fish.

Honeythorn mumbled. "You aren't, your beautiful." He hoped she didn't hear. He used his ice breath to freeze a patch of water, then lifted it out. Two fish were inside.

Atlanta stood up tall, watching the sunrise. She ran her fingers over her leather skirt and brushed out the wrinkles. “Nice morning, but too cold.” She remarked.

Cindy woke up, then ran downstairs, tripping on the last one and going splat. She got up and ran outside. "Lily!" she yelled, tapping her arm impatiently. If she doesn't come, I'm getting Zirconia anyway and leaving. I wonder where she and Orion are anyway, haven't seen them since I landed.

Lyra stayed asleep after the exciting evening she had last night.

Slash looked around for Katla, the human she had recently bonded with.

Angela slept in whoever's house she was staying in.

Tlachinolli woke up on the other side of the island to the humans, stretched her wings and sung her Death Song call for some breakfast.

Lily walked out of the forge, holding something that looked like a bunch of white leather.. no, those are dragon scales! She smiled, sleepily. "Hey..."

Cindy crossed her arms awkwardly, before giving up and just putting her hand on her waist. "Last night. You promised me we could go to the Screaming Death island, hmm?" she reminded, already wide awake.

Lily yawned. "Sure.. We can go, after I put these on Avalanche.." She said, sleepily. "Sorry I've been up all night."

"Yeah, yeah, I'll go get Zirconia while you go do that," Cindy laughed, nodding. She slipped back inside again, looking at her bow and sighing. Yeah, that ain't happening. She got changed quickly, wrapping a belt around her skirt and sheathing a few daggers into it, then grabbing her blue sword made out of one of Zirconia's spines. Sheathing that too, she went outside again and roared.

Zirconia sat up at the roar from her place in the forest where she went to sleep and got up to head over to Cindy, flexing her tail out.

Lily ran over to where Avalanche was. "Avalanche! I think I got it!" She said, happily. She placed the tail fins and the saddle on the ground. She still had a bunch of leather scales though.

Zirconia headed over to Cindy and looked at her arm. "What's up?" she asked, wings flapping.

"We, are going flying," Cindy replied in her own tongue, then hesitating. "Uh, well-" she was cut off by a golden dragon flying over and coming down.

"Hey, so the blue-haired girl-" Whiplash started, before being cut off by Cindy adding in "Isa." Whiplash rolled her eyes, then continued, "Yeah, Isa told me to give you this saddle, because she assumed you'd probably be falling off. She's still making the other stuff you drew. You're a good artist," she rambled, then passed Cindy the saddle from her tail. Then, she waved her tail and started flying back to Inut.

Cindy stared after Whiplash, holding the saddle still. "Uh, okay then. I'll just tie a piece of rope around my arm and attach it to this for now then," she quickly strapped the saddle onto the dragon, using a piece of leather to cup around her arm and then wrapping a rope around it and through the loop in the saddle. She pulled herself on, settling into the saddle again.

Lily smiled and started attaching the saddle to Avalanche's tail and back. "How is that?"

Cindy held on as Zirconia flew into the air, and the two flew in the air for a bit. Cindy leaned down, her body flat against Zirconia's neck and her legs on the side, and then moved her legs so she was in a completely flat shape. She then put her legs down again and sat up, Zirconia flying down to Lily again a few meters away.

Lily looked up and smiled before looking at Cindy. "I made something for you, one sec." She said, racing to the forge. She came out with a bundle of leather. It was a cloak made out of Zirconia's shed scales. "For stealth missions where we cant be seen. You'll blend in with the dragon." She said.

"Oh, thanks," Cindy grinned, quickly pulling her hair into a braid and taking the cloak. "I forgot how shiny Zir was,"

Lily laughed. She turned and grabbed the cloak that was sitting on the ground. "I was thinking of making like something to help us glide... But maybe we could find something that's small and has wings that can do that. It'd be awesome."

"Flying squirrels," Cindy replied, raising her eyebrows. "Hey, we could go to some of the other islands after we visit the Screaming Death,"

Lily nodded and looked at Avalanche. "I don't think we should take a long flight as our test flight. When I get back, I'll make sure Ill get you in the air, ok girl?"

Cindy watched Lily. "You go get your dragon and then can we please go?" she urged.

Avalanche glanced towards Lily as she appeared with a saddle and tail fins. She gulped as she saw what looked to be leather on them, but they were actual scales. She struggled a little as Lily put the saddle and fins on her and then attached them. She blinked her eyes. "They're a little uncomfortable." she told Lily and tried to move the flaps but couldn't on her own. She frowned a little. "D-d-does this mean.....I'll only fly when you're riding me?" she asked sadly. She glanced towards Honeythorn and smiled a little.

Katla was out collecting wood for her fireplace, it had gotten rather cold in her home lately.

Eclipse was out looking for Storm.
