Bramblepaw nodded slightly, before sitting down next to his mentor. "Is it okay if I stay with you if I end up going? Do you think you can introduce me to the other deputies?" a light of excitement flashed through his voice, even though he kept a stoic demeanor. "I don't wanna stay around those other mousebrained apprenticed. They picked a fight last time, and it ruined my mood." he grumbled.

"We'll see, Bramblepaw. Not all of the apprentices are bad though," Scorchthicket mewed, nudging his apprentice. "You just have to find the right ones and then you'll be fine. It's that simple."

Bramblepaw scoffed lightly, but didn't comment none=the-less.It's not that simple, though... He curled his tail around his paws and started grooming behind his ears. "What are the other deputies like?" he tried instead, squinting his eyes at the setting sun.

Ebonyrose trotted into camp, her gorgeous smoky fur lit by the rays of the setting sun. A small grouse dangled in her jaws and she set her prey on the freshkill pile, scanning the camp for Scorchthicket.

"Lupinfrost and Wolfwatcher from FrostClan are both noble cats," Scorchthicket started, flicking his red tail. "I haven't met FireClan's new deputies yet, nor BrightClan's. Sharktooth and Brindlestorm are friendly, and definitely loyal to Turtlestar." He stretched and laid down, yawning. "I'll try and introduce you to them, but there will be a lot going on."

Ebonyrose caught sight of Scorchthicket talking with his current apprentice and trotted to join them, trying to straighten her shoulders as she walked. She gave them both a curt nod then mewed, "Do you know when Robinstar is announcing who's going to the gathering?"

"Ebonyrose!" Scorchthicket's voice showed a clear excitement over seeing his former apprentice, and he stood again to nuzzle her. He purred a greeting, then registered her question. "No, actually. I was just telling Bramblepaw about the other deputies. The ones I know anyways," he purred.

Palesmoke padded slowly from the warrior's den, stretching out and parting her jaws in a yawn. She eyed Dawnflower who was eating a bird rather happily only a small distance away, and decided to avoid the possible conversation entirely. Instead, she moved to search for Sootpaw.

Ebonyrose readily took the opportunity to leave the conversation, ears hot with embarrassment from getting so easily flustered.

Coldfoot padded out of the medicine den, shooting a cold look at Hawksky as he passed.

Hawksky looked to Tulipsnow. "We should, uh, gather?" he suggested.

Fallowpaw nudged Willowpaw and bounded to the base of the Smoothrock.

Robinstar waited until everybody had gathered, her tail flicking from side to side gently. "As y'all know, tonight is the gathering. Those who're accompanying me are Tulipsnow, Scorchthicket, Whispermist, Tigerstorm, Coldfoot, Hickoryshadow, Dragonpaw, Fallowpaw, Sunpaw, Coalpaw, Blackpaw, Sootpaw, Willowpaw, Tansypaw and Jadepaw," she called, eyes flicking between everybody to make sure they were there. "Make sure to eat and all that before we go," she added afterwards, before stepping back down and padding over to the prey pile for some more snacks.

Willowpaw nodded and chuckled, nudging her sister. "Chill out, Fallowpaw. It's just a gathering, after all. I wonder how many mom has been to, though." The tortoiseshell tilted her head, then shrugged her shoulders.

Scorchthicket stretched out, sending an apologetic look to Bramblepaw before padding off to talk with Tigerstorm.

Sunpaw looked to her sister, Tansypaw with excitement, giving her a light nudge with her nose as she listened. She knew she wouldn’t entirely like the company of so many cats but she’d enjoy the gathering itself.

Heatherdawn licked Hickoryshadow’s ear. “Look after Sootpaw, hm?”

Riverswoop breathed a small sigh of relief. Next gathering, Wisteriakit and Shimmerkit will be with me, he purred a little to himself.

Dawnflower padded over and purred, "Maybe your parents will even be at your first one too!" The fluffy tabby settled down, curling her tail around herself.

Hawksky watched the cats interact with the kits wistfully. He had never really wanted kits before but the idea of raising them with her... he shook his head. No. He had to think about something else.
"Anyone want to go hunting with me?" he meowed suddenly, "Shrews come out at night in swarms by the gorge!"

Dawnflower perked up at that, ears twitching. "I think Palesmoke might. She was sulking earlier about having to wait for the meeting to see if Sootpaw was going to the gathering," she chirped, much to her sandy colored sister's disdain.

With a sigh, Palesmoke rose to her paws, shaking out her soft fur. "I'll go with," she mewed, though her tone was rather noncommittal, "since Dawnflower insisted on volunteering me."

Blizzardpaw perked up her head, her beautiful crystal-blue gaze falling upon the patrol. She quickly, and carefully bounded over to catch up to the group, huffing as she came to a halt. "I'll come too, I don't have much to do in camp right now," She explained, flicking her tail in greeting.

Crowtail padded around the clearing, searching for a good spot to eat. Finally, he dropped his fresh-kill down before settling in comfortably and sinking his teeth into the warm mouse. His vibrant green eyes watched the bustling camp, pride swelling in his chest for the Clan. DuskClan is growing stronger everyday. He thought to himself, gulping down a small bite.

Firefall watched her clanmates leave for the gathering and a patrol, deciding she would take watch close to the entrance. She spotted Crowtail eating a mouse, her gaze softening for a few seconds before looking back to the entrance. She couldn’t really explain to herself why she liked him, but knew she couldn’t tell him yet.

Crowtail glanced over in the direction of the camp entrance from the corner of his eye. Firefall was only standing guard, although he could have sworn the tortoiseshell she-cat looked his way. However, his thoughts were soon interrupted by a drowsy voice. Daisypaw, he noticed as his gaze flitted over to the apprentice and giving a warm greeting. "Good afternoon to you too!" He replied, unable to help a soft chuckle from escaping his mouth. "You look rather tired, have you been training in your free-time?" The tom purred in amusement by the dramatic display of exhaustion Daisypaw displayed.

Blizzardpaw nodded, unable to help but give a small smile in return to Bramblepaw's friendly demeanor before heading out.

Daisypaw leaned into her mentor's warm fur comfortably, sighing and closing her eyes. "I did train today, but by the time I was done, I was too tired to do anything else. I'm kind of glad I didn't have to go to the gathering." She yawned.

After picking out a juicy-looking shrew, Mistypad caught Larchmask's wandering gaze and decided to head over and accompany her denmate. Plopping herself down beside him, puffing out her long-fur to get warm from the chilly breeze, she touched noses to the tom. "Good evening Larchmask, mind if I eat with you?" She mewed, her eyes glowing cheerily. However, the bubbly she-cat already decided on the answer to stay, as she bit into her meal with a purr of content.

Crowtail flicked his tail tip approvingly. "Well done! Although, you shouldn't push yourself too hard, you still need that energy for the next day," He responded, instructing his apprentice with a warm-hearted tone. After a short pause, he angled his chin towards the fresh-kill pile. "Did you eat yet? It's important to keep your strength up," Crowtail insisted, worry hinting in his words.
