IC: Blueshine stretched, her pelt rippling with light in the morning sun. It had been six moons since the battle, and she would never get the great battle out of her head.

Faltermist looked at Blueshine. "I wish this could have been prevented... There was so much bloodshed."

IC: She nodded, then bit her tongue to prevent herself from saying "At least we all fit in this camp now."

IC: Faltermist added wistfully: "I wish I could have stayed deputy, but I don't think I could have handled the position yet. I just have to wait, I guess." She nodded her head, as if in finality.

"At least you aren't constantly glared at by cats." she mewed, "I'm starting to wish I hadn't accepted my position when Viperst-tooth offered it to me."

Faltermist smiled, if a little sadly. "I do receive my fair share of glares, don't worry. I think they resent me for suporting him so strongly until I realized that he was a cold, tyrannical monster. Maybe that was a little harsh, but I couldn't stop right then! He might have killed me. I can at least," she glanced around, "speak with more freedom."

Birdfeather entered the camp, her tail high and jaws full of prey. Happiness radiated from her. She dropped her kills on the pile and purred loudly with delight that hunting had gone so well.

Faltermist saw the prey that Birdfeather had brought in and called out a compliment. "Impressive catch! I know we could use more hunters with your skill!"

A flicker of a smile appeared on Blueshine's face. Even all these moons later, it still felt like she had blood on her paws from all those she'd killed.

Birdfeather looked at Faltermist and licked her chest in an embarrassed way. "Well... the prey is running well. I'm sure anyone can come back with this much!"

Sorrelflight layed on her side, half asleep in the nursery. While Beekit ran around her excitedly, she couldn't help think of the dull ache in her side, the scars from the battle that hadn't fully healed.
Beekit chased a ball of moss that was being blown around by the wind, humming to herself.

Mintfeather limped towards the fresh-kill pile from her den. During the fight, she had received a bad scar on her leg that refused to heal.

"Slightly better, it doesn't feel on fire every time I step, so that's a start." she mewed, grimacing a bit as she put her leg down.

Poppydawn nodded, flicking her ears before padding away to lay beside Sorrelflight.
"Hey," She said, as she rested her head on her paws.
Sorrelflight made a soft sound, to let her know that she was awake.

Birdfeather glanced over at her sister's, but didn't join them.

Russetstar surveyed the camp from the top of Smoothrock, though he did not call a meeting. He sat there, flicking his tail.

Blueshine padded towards the smoothrock and leaped up, slipping a bit while gripping it. She sat down, laying her fluffy tail over her paws, and mewed, "Calling a meeting or...?"

IC- Cloudblaze sat in a tree gazing up in the clouds, lost in thought. She heard a mouse scurry by and leapt to her paws startled from her day dreaming.

Russetstar chuckled at the mention of the kits. "The clan needs some time to meld together. We'll be fine." He was completely sure of this.

Beekit darted around camp, not the least bit shy of all of the cats she didn't know. She accidentally ran straight into Lilytail as the deputy entered the camp, a few cats trailing behind her.
Beekit squeaked loudly. "I'm sorry!" she said. looking up.
Lilytail opened her mouth to say something,but Beekit didn't let her.
"Oh, it's only you!" The kit mewed delightedly, bouncing off again.
Lilytail purred, waving her tail to her sisters who were across the camp.

Lilytail smiled and then headed over to where Russetstar and Blueshine were sitting. She dipped her head to the leader. "Well, the borders are good, no sign of any other clans crossing or any loners." She said. "And there's plenty of prey out there."

Faltermist watched the camp with her wary eyes, and then she realized that she wasn't deputy. She told herself to get used to it and padded over to Birdfeather. "Oh, you're just being modest -- I didn't catch that much when I was hunting."

"It'll happen," Russetstar's amber eyes shone as he stared down at his clan mates. "With time." He touched his deputy's shoulder with the tip of his tail. "Don't be such a downer!" He chuckled playfully.

Birdfeather again gave her chest an embarrassed lick. "Oh... alright, I suppose."

Brackenwing returned with a slight bounce in his paws, pushing through the gorse tunnel and into the camp. He padded over to the fresh kill pile and set down his catch, two mice and a finch, purring to himself.

Saffronflame rested in the sun, her chin resting on her forepaws as her tail flicked aimlessly.

"No cat will ever forget where they came from. Yes, some will never put their difference aside, but they will merge and become one at certain points in their life," He turned his gaze on his deputy. "So, even if they are uncertain in the camp...when they're out there," He used his tail to point to the forest, toward the borders. "Where they're face to face with cats who don't share a den with them...they'll protect each other, regardless of the past."

"That's just in here." He assured her. He was still confident that eventually, they would treat each other as brothers and sisters.

Birdfeather awkwardly nodded to where Brackenwing sat. "See, Faltermist? Other cats can bring back just as much as me!"

Rosepaw darted out of the medicine den when she spotted Saffronflame. "Can you please teach me something? The camp is being so boring!" Her tone was a little bit condescending.

Mintfeather smoothed out the fur around her leg and padded towards the entrance of camp. Gorse branches scraping her back, she limped outside, her injured leg still aching. It was nice to get some fresh air for once.

Russetstar noticed his injured clan mate returning and hopped down from the smooth rock to pad to her side. He offered his shoulder for her to lean on if she needed it. "How was your walk?"

Saffronflame lifted her head, though not enthusiastically. "Sure, Petalpaw," she sighed lightly.

Brackenwing glanced over. "The weather's finally clearing, so the prey is out. Go and hunt! It feels nice to stretch."

She winced, surprised that the leader was talking to her. "It was alright." she mewed, "Weather's nice, but it's kind of sad to see so much prey without being able to do anything."
