Birchstar growled and dug his claws in deep into the cat. Ivyfur came over and hit the cat on the head powerfully, trying to get him asleep.

Flickerpaw raced into the meadow, laughing and glancing behind him. Laurelpaw jumped out from a bush, and purred as Flickerpaw squeaked in surprise.

Starwish looked at the apprentices. "Stop acting like kits," Flintfire scolded lightly.

Laurelpaw nodded, the grin plastered across her face showing that she didnt mind.

Flickerpaw bounced to his paws, and brushed some dirt off his chest fur. He huffed, and began scenting for mouse.

Gorsepaw laughed and then scented for prey. she followedher nose through the grass and then dropped to the ground when she saw a bird.

Starwish headed off a little ways.

Flinfire heard a rustling and then sprung at a rabbit that had ran out of its hiding spot.

Laurelpaw hared after the rabbit with Flintfire.

Flickerpaw pounced, and came up with the little mouse dangling from his jaws. He sighed. It'd hardly feed a kit.

Gorsepaw sprang and killed the bird. she trotted back over and dropped it. Flintfire killed the rabbit. Starwish scented a mouse and crept up on it.

Flickerpaw sniffed. Something smelled....weird. Like freshkill, but harsher, mixed in with scents.... He gasped. "BADGER!"

Flickerpaw raced over to Stardust and Flintfire. "Th-" he was cut off as a roar came from the bushes, and a massive black and white creature emerged. Laurelpaw whimpered, but stood her ground.

Gorsepaw's eyes widened. Starwish pushed the younger apprentice behind her. Flinfire hissed and ran behind the badger. while it was distracted Starwish jumped and clawed at its neck.

The badger turned, and roared into the bushes. Another badger, slightly smaller but no less deadly, lumbered out, and let out a cry that made Laurelpaw's fur stand on end as the apprentice leapt at the badger.

Flickerpaw clawed at the second badger's nose.

Ivyfur and Willowlight padded here talking. They both froze at the cats and badgers. Ivyfur quickly ran over and slashed a badger's side. It turned on her, eyes bright with anger. Willowlight ran over, She jummped onto it''s back and bit down hard.

Starwish hissed and Scratched the badger's eyes before jumping on the back of the other. FLintfire clawed one of the first badger's eyes and it roared, blinded.

Gorsepaw wished she could help but hadnt had any training yet. Be careful Flickerpaw, she begged with her mind.

WIllowlight got thrown against a tree. "Mom!" Ivyfur cryed, clawing the badger's eyes. It yelled and flung it's self at Ivyfur. She squeaked and got pinned down.

Starwish crashed into the badger and knocked it off of Ivyfur. she winced as claws raked over her side.

Flintfire tried to protect Laurelpaw and FLickerpaw. Gorsepaw tried to stay out of the way

Willowlight was stunned. Everything was a blur. She shook her head and got up. She stumbled over and raked her claws along the badger's face. It stormed off. Ivyfur got up. She gasped.

Flickerpaw hissed at the badger, and earned a swipe across the head. Crashing into the bushes, he lay still.

Laurelpaw roared, tearing at the badger's ears.

Starwish panted. she watched both of the badgers flee. "Flickerpaw!" Flintfire exclaimed and ran over to his apprentice. Gorsepaw shot outof her hiding place and ran to make sure Flickerpaw was okay.

Laurelpaw padded up. "We have to get him back to camp, fast!" she mewed, limping slightly on a gashed leg.

Gorsepaw didnt answer but she immeadiatly helped Laurelpaw. so did Flintfire hwile Starwish kept a lookout for more badgers. "I'll go collect the prey," she said and went back to get it.
