Emberflank forced himself to eat the bitter herbs. He coughed raggedy. He tried to speak, and finally managed to make a jagged whisper. "A black rogue with black eyes attacked me!" He was finally able to speak, because he recovered from the shock.

Leopardeye widened her eyes and looked at Dewripple. "Thank you!"

Briarkit caught a glimpse of Emberflank, and thought about hopping over, but instead just stayed where she was. Who would want to be with a disabled kit.

Feathermoon slowly settled down for a small nap, wrapping her fluffy tail over her nose.

Dewripple nodded, shrugging a shoulder and padding back into her den. She cornered Feathermoon and plopped in her nest, curling her tail around her small, split face.
Bumblekit stumbled out of the nursery and approached Briarkit.
"Hey, are you okay?" he mowed softly, a jagged purr rising as he swept his tail comfortingly around his friend.

Briarkit turned to Bumblekit and nodded. A tiny smile formed on her face for a second, but it disappeared a second later.

Feathermoon's ear flickered as Dewripple settled down, and she struggled about a bit more.

Dewripple watched Feathermoon's movements as she tried to find the right position to sleep. She blinked sleepily, but tried to stay awake in case Leopardeye needed her herb help again with Emberflank.
Bumblekit smiled back, but he wanted an answer.
"Why aren't you speaking?" he asked, being nosy.
Phoenixkit sighed, watching Turtlekit sleep. She padded out and bumped into Briarkit accidentally. She dipped her head and hurried away with a frown and into Spottedkit's old bush.
OOC: Oh, whoops, I'm sorry, yeah, they're supposed to be dead. Scratch that post Razz

Turtlekit awoke suddenly, padding out of the nursery. He smelled something bad in the medicine den and entered, nearly fainting when he saw Emberflank's body spread out on the floor.
What happened to him? he thought, blinking in fear.
Phoenixkit wrapped her tail around herself and began to lick the tip as she watched the active camp through a hole in the shrubbery.

Dewripple watched the warrior go and then settled back down, relaxing and falling to a nap.
Phoenixkit shivered when she saw Feathermoon exit the warriors den, close to Spottedkit's bush, and she flattened her ears when some dew from a leaf fell on her nose.

Phoenixkit shook her head as more dew started to fall from the cold breeze that wisped in side the bush. She stepped out and swerved around Feathermoon as she scrambled up a boulder and slouched her back, flopping over the ledge.

Phoenixkit yawned, showing her bright white feline teeth. She blinked sleepily, although she realized that Cobaltgaze AND Feathermoon were in camp, so she didn't want to risk anything again. She wondered where Wolfblaze was, though.

Feathermoon shrugged before deciding to wash. She licked herself clean, every so often taking a glance at Pheonixkit.

Bumblekit, dozing off, had glued his eyes on Feathermoon. His tail whipped in harmony with the wind as he daydreamed about rainbows and sunshine.
Phoenixkit, shivering at the cold breeze that caught in her throat, began to mimic Feathermoon as she washed her pelt carefully.

Bumblekit snapped out of it, and, realizing he was looking at Feathermoon in a weird way, he awkwardly shuffled his paws and walked away, sitting by the nursery entrance.
Phoenixkit watched the somewhat gray clouds bounce along the sky. The gloomy weather made her sleepy, but she didn't dare fall asleep just yet.

Feathermoon purred a bit, and went into the warriors den again. She gently curled up and tried to sleep.

Dewripple, blinking sleepily, watched Feathermoon enter again. This time, she left, and she stretched her legs out as she flopped out on her stomach by the prey heap, nibbling on a soft but thin thrush.

Dewripple's mind was blank. Prey was scarce, and she had witnessed bouts of greencough at this time before. She hoped no one caught it, including herself.

Emberflank felt bad because he frightened Turtlekit. He did not want to scare anyone. He shuddered.

Greytree left the den. She looked around and sneaked out of camp to relax.

Turtlekit slowly got up, shaking out his fur. He ran out of the den and flopped into his nest in the nursery, trying to sleep but he couldn't get the sight of Emberflank out of his mind.

Leopardeye curled up next to Emberflank, trying to protect him from the cold. She gave a small purr.

Emberflank smiled feelby and fell asleep.

Feathermoon woke up, and shook herself. She padded out the den, before going over to Briarkit and the fresh-kill pile. "Erm, hi..." she muttered to Briarkit.

Sedgeflower lay curled up in the nursery around her kits. Sprucekit yawned, and scooted closer to her mother for more warmth. Splashkit rolled around until he somehow ended up on his back, and was poking Sprucekit in the side.

Ebonyflame sat outside the warriors den, nibbling halfheartedly on a squirrel.

Turtlekit shot a glance at the blurry Splashkit and Sprucekit. He got up and dusted off his fur.
"Hey, guys," he prodded them awkwardly with his wet nose.
"Do you want to play something?" he whispered, nearly silent.

Sprucekit's eyes shot open, "Yea!" She whispered, trying not to wake Sedgeflower. She tried to carefully pick her way out of the nest, hoping that her mother wouldn't wake up.

Splashkit just grumbled, hiding his face in Sedgeflower's flank.

Turtlekit smiled, but it only lasted for a few seconds before his mouth turned to a straight slit again.
"What do you want to play?" he meowed with a crack in his voice.
Phoenixkit grunted on top of the rock, sliding down eventually. She landed on her bottom and she padded in circles, not knowing what to do.

"Hold on, lets come out here," Sprucekit whispered as she led the way out of the nursery. She then said in a normal voice, "Maybe we should play..." She thought for a moment. "I don't know, you have any ideas?"

"Should we follow Wolfblaze and Cobaltgaze at the Owl Tree and help them search for clues?" she suggested, pouring the information about what happened to Emberflank at her sister.

"Maybe we could sneak out and try to find clues if they did it!" she offered, lowering her voice.
Turtlekit shrugged a shoulder, looking with blurry eyes at Sprucekit.
"Maybe not. Do you want to invite Splashkit so we could play Clan?" he suggested instead.

Sprucekit poked her brother's side with a paw. "Splashkit!" She said in a whisper. "Come on, wake up!"
"What do you want?" He mewed back, trying to cover his ears with his paws.
"Come play!" She said. "Don't be boring!"
"I'm not boring!" He said immediately, and then grumbled under his breath as he got up and followed her out, ignoring her smug look.

Feathermoon yawned and went outside, banging straight into the fresh-kill pile on knocking most of it over. "Mouse-dung!" she muttered, starting to move everything back into the pile with her paws.

Phoenixkit smirked, tiptoeing out of camp and pressing herself against a small birch tree that was growing, waiting for Coyotekit patiently.
Turtlekit waited, tapping his paw on the ground. He purred at Sprucekit's words.

"We're gonna play Clan!" Sprucekit said.
"I wanna be the leader!" both siblings said at the same time, and then looked at each other.
"I should get to because I brought you out here in the first place," Sprucekit said.
