Moonkit squirmed around, her weak blue-gray body shivering. She left her mother and joined Tigerkit.

Leapingwillow came in and smiled at the kits. She stumbled and droped her prey into the pile, waiting for Pumpkinpaw.

Pumpkinpaw trailed after, flattening her ears as a slight drizzle began to come down. She dropped her prey from her firm tail grip into the growing heap for leaf-bare, and then padded to the entrance of the leaders den, dropping the eagle carcass.
"Hello? Aspenstar?" she called.
"We need to talk to you!" she mewed, flicking her tail and licking her lips, trying not to devour the eagle just yet.

"Awww!" he cooed, racing in.
He skipped towards the four of them gathered with Tigerkit, making them laugh.

tornwhisker lumbered out of the elders den, but he tripped over a twig and landed on his bottom. he muttered a curse to himself and got up, shaking out his long fur and padding back in. he sighed, looking around.
"anyone?" he mewed in a high-pitched voice, lonely.
he heard the squealing of kittens in the medicine cats den, the farthest den from his own. he slid out a smile, but it immediately turned to a frown again as he remembered his own siblings that hadn't survived the birth after a bout of greencough.

Turtlekit noticed that Sprucekit and Splashkit had zoned out, so he shrugged and padded around, blinking heavily. The darkness he was plunged in was overwhelming. Why couldn't he see? Why did SoulClan have to make it this way? He whimpered and padded over to the medicine cat den, twisting his paw and then opening his mouth as a sign of thirst. Where was Wolfblaze?

Moonkit laughed awkwardly, curling her tail into a hook. She had picked up some sign language from Turtlekit already, all the times he had come in to see them. She was curious to get out of camp.

Briarkit hopped back into camp, making sure Pheonixkit and Coyotekit were still there. She heard a squeal from the medicine den and decided to check it out.

Coyotekit followed Briarkit in, flicking her tail behind her. She immediately crawled behind the nursery, flicking her tail as a motion for Pheonixkit to join her.

Phoenixkit followed Coyotekit with her tail held high, hopping on three legs around the nursery. She secretly made some dirt and then cornered the den, entering the medicine cats home. She cooed quietly at the kits and waved at Tigerkit, seeing a similarity of someone in her.

Turtlekit peered inside the medicine den, seeing everyone's mouth dropped and ears flattened in fear. He skidded to a halt in his mindless pacing and came inside, looking questioningly at Tigerkit. Phoenixkit tilted her head, locking gazes with the newborn kit.

Turtlekit blinked, suddenly feeling hurt. He strongly disliked when people realized he was blind by a white pupil gazing mindlessly into the sky. Phoenixkit comforted him with a purr and flattened herself to the ground, looking at Tigerkit.
"I thought you were.... dead!" she exclaimed, bosom wiggling.

Tigerkit lay on the floor, and remembered the sharp pain on her chest.
She walked across the dark gray pebbley flloor, as she heard a loud rumble. The second she looked to the side a bright light pierced the world and a second later she was laying on the road, in lots of pain.
Tigerkit suddenly was whooshed back to the real world, shaking. "Monsters..." she whispered.

Adderkit winced as a harsh pain entered his left front paw. After the mess-up in the birth, it was twisted for life. He kneaded more gently, mewling as he struggled to get the best milk.

The full moon was shining brightly, as a bird flew above it. A small feather dropped from the bird, gently falling. A feather covering the moon.

Moonkit also stumbled down, legs wobbling. She received an odd memory of her and Feathermoon running away.
The sun shone brightly above them as they ran through the meadows. A roar of defiance sounded in their ears as a cat held Moon back.
"Feather!"
She suddenly jumped up, flailing.
