Latch laughed, his eyes widening insanely. "Me and Mink have been secret mates, those are my kits." He said, before biting Rune's neck, feeling the warm taste of blood against his tongue. He bit down harder, clawing into his chest and raking his stomach with his back legs. He bit down even harder. "WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER?!?!" He screamed through Rune's fur.

Rune's eyes widen as he felt Latch bite down on him, and clwed his pelt. Slowly Rune's eyes clouded over...And he was dead

Mink's eyes widen at Latch but then she felt relief, since Rune was dead.

Latch didn't move. He eventually let go, and licked his lips. "He knew it was going to come to this..." he hissed. "I am now Latch, leader of Latch's group. Mink, I'm sorry..." He mewed, almost forgetting she had just witnessed him murder her mate.

Razor sighed. "Bite will not be happy."

Mink looked at Latch with shock in her eyes, then she broke into a big purr. "No, I am happy you killed him, now we can be together..." she whispered as she pressed her muzzle to his. "Aurora won't be happy either" she laughed.

"... Tomcats usually have more than one mate... I never got over Silverpelt or Beetle, my old mates, but I have two now... I made a bad mistake." he said. He nuzzled her back, before coldly looking at Rune. "I can't believe I let him... Claw your face..." He muttered, his eyes slitting. His fur bristled, the hatred in his eyes now clear. "I should've never trusted him..."

Mink nodded sadly. "I'm sorry about your mates" she whispered nuzzling him. "Dont worry about it" she smiled. "It might turn out as a scar though" she frowned.

Latch picked up Rune's body, and dragged him outside. He flung him out of the den, growling, before heading back inside.

Mink smiled at Latch when she saw him come back in, Mink was already nestled on the nest

Aurora walked in suddenly, she narrowed her eyes when she saw Mink and Latch. "What is going on?"

Suddenly two young pure black cats walked into the camp. One she-cat and one tom, the she-cat was a pure black she-cat with light pale green eyes. The she-cat turned to her brother. "Are you sure?"

The tom nodded. "It's for the best, Dancer." he padded into the clearing, smelling blood and seeing Rune, the young cat's father. He snorted. "Already a dead cat, eh?"

Latch sighed, collapsing into his nest. "I'm so tired."

Bumblebee rubbed his eyes, blinking. He opened his eyes, looking up at his mother.

Razor licked Bumblebee, then Cross.
