FrostClan Camp

Cloverlily narrowed her eyes. "Aren't alligators those big slimy green creatures that lay eggs?" she whispered harshly, pricking her ears as Redstar called a meeting.

Redstar shook out her fur, scanning the gathering of FireClan cats. She watched the kits, eyes gleaming. "All four of you have reached the age of six moons, and you are ready to become apprentices. You will be known as Mistpaw, Brightpaw, Barleypaw, and Milkpaw. Mistpaw will be mentored by me, Brightpaw by Sootpatch, Barleypaw by Sundapple, and Milkpaw by Sparkfeather. I ask SoulClan to watch over you and guide you until you find in your paws the strength and courage of a warrior." she announced, purring as the new mentors stepped to the front of the crowd.

Sundapple looked up in surprise. Me? Wow! He stepped forward and touched noses with Barleypaw, purring a little.
Milkpaw gulped, looking at Sparkfeather warily. The deputy? Really? 

Vanillapath looked up and stepped forward, looking at Mistpaw with soft eyes. She smiled, flicking her tail and looking to the other new apprentices.

Acornwhisker looked up at Redstar with shining eyes, purring happily for their adopted kits.

Petalkit watched the ceremony, then turned to her mother. "When will we be apprentices?" she asked with a huff.

sootpatch watched as the ceremony continued, his eyes far off into the distant horizon, filled with different thoughts. the ceremony did not mean much to the black and white tom, in fact, all he wanted was to get this over with and comfort his mate. she was expecting kits soon, and it wouldn't leave his mind.

finally, the kits were apprenticed and given their mentors. his ears perked up as his name was called, and he switched his gaze back to the new apprentices, noticing brightpaw was assigned to him. my first apprentice! the warrior couldn't help but let out a purr, joy filling him at the thought of finally being able to mentor a young, and determined cat. he stepped forward, dipping his head lower to reach the smaller cat, and touching noses.

Snowpaw reluctantly cheered for the new apprentices. She suddenly felt an odd sickening feeling, which was the same feeling she felt when she was apprenticed. She knew something was going to happen, but she had no clue what as she watched the ceremony.

Barleypaw shakily stepped up to Sundapple, not knowing what to do. He watched the other new apprentices touch noses with their mentors, and so he copied. "H-hello," he mewed, wanting to run back to Acornwhisker and curl up in her paws. "Am I supposed to do something else?"

Mistpaw stared up at Redstar with joyful blue eyes. The leader! What an honor! She thought, internally screaming.

Brightpaw glanced up at Sootpatch nervously, trying not to show how nervous she was.

Sundapple purred lightly. "No, you're fine," he promised softly. "Though I don't think the ceremony is over." 

Milkpaw padded over to Sparkfeather with a nervous flick of her tail. "H-hi."

Sootpatch's whiskers twitched in amusement at Brightpaw's uneasiness. Reminding him of his first days as an apprentices, being shy and nervous, a stab of sympathy hit him. "Don't worry, you'll have fun!" He meowed encouragingly with a purr. "Perhaps I could show you the mountain," He added in, "If you want." 

Nightpelt slipped out from the elder's den, watching Sparkfeather. "Congratulations," He meowed, a hint of pride glinting in his eye. Even though I wasn't able to stay deputy, I got to train the future leader of the clan.

OOC: I'm going to time-skip Adderkit, and Smallkit. 
IC: Adderkit stumbled out of the nursery, pushing her sister aside. "Move! I wanna see!" She mewed irritably, her tail lashing back and forth. Unfortunately, the ceremony had already happened by the time she reached the new apprentices. "Not fair! I don't get why we can't get out apprentice names. We're already three whole moons old!" 

Smallkit flattened her ears, blinking up at the large crowd of bustling cats. "But I think we're too small to be training yet." She mewed softly, hoping her littermate would agree.

“You both are too small to train, your time will come soon.” Snowpaw mewed to the two kits, her tail flicking anxiously.

Sparkfeather touched noses with Milkpaw. “You’ll be a great apprentice, I know it.” She said and stood straight, looking at Nightpelt. “I want to thank you again, for teaching me how to be a warrior and a deputy.” She said, sad that Nightpelt couldn’t be a deputy with her anymore.

Hollyblaze padded out of the nursery with an irritated sigh. "Adderkit, Smallkit, come back here," she meowed sternly.

OOC: Can you wait until the end of the ceremony? I still need to make a bunch of cats warriors.

Redstar purred, touching noses with Mistpaw before swiftly leaping to the top of the Tallcave once more. "We have many apprentices who are ready to become new warriors. I ask SoulClan to watch upon these cats; they have trained hard to understand the ways of our noble code. Lilacpaw, Sunpaw, Foxpaw, Heatherpaw, Duskpaw, Blossompaw, Russetpaw, Snowpaw, Adderpaw, Cloudpaw, and Flamepaw, please come up. Do each of you promise to uphold the warrior code and to protect and defend your Clan, even at the cost of your life?" she meowed, her milky soft voice ringing throughout the camp. She watched Snowpaw carefully, feeling sorry that she hadn't been a very good mentor to her because of how hectic everything had been. I even did it to Martenpaw. I need to step up my game. she thought, shifting her paws uneasily.

Snowpaw stood in shock for a sec before padding forward. “I do.” She mewed, her eyes beaming wtih happiness. She had struggled woth finally making it to this stage. Her first mentor, Cloudheart, had died from the battle with the rogues, and Redstar had her duties as a leader to fulfil as well as having an apprentice. She purred and waited, her fur fluffed up in excitement.

Foxpaw, Duskpaw, Heatherpaw, Lilacpaw and Sunpaw stepped forward. “I do.” They all said proudly, eyes gleaming.

Cloudpaw looked up in surprise. Huh? I'm injured! She looked at Flamepaw, purring a little as she limped forward.

Stormshadow walked out of the nursery with Owlkit’s body. I guess I’m a warrior now. She thought, grief for her dead kit.

"I have no idea if they're slimy but 'big' is an understatement." Marshfeather snorted. "They're tall as badgers and long as horses."
Dapplestar waiting impatiently for Lynxfang to bring back their patrolmate.

The rest of my cats watch the ceremony with anticipation.

Blossompaw and Russetpaw padded forward, looking up at Redstar as they meowed. "I do."

OOC: Yeah I can wait Daisy, lol. When I posted that I had thought the ceremony was over.

Smallkit frowned, tugging on her sister's tail lightly. "Come on, we don't want to get in trouble!" She reminded her littermate with worry. 

Adderkit huffed and rolled her eyes, before turning around and stalking back to Hollyblaze. "More like you don't want to," She replied under her breath as she slipped into the nursery. "Anyone want to play a game?" She called out, unsheathing her small claws and digging them into the dirt.

My cats watch the ceremony with pride for their clanmates.

Ryedusk watched the ceremony, purring. I remember when I was made an apprentice, and a warrior, she thought to herself.

Ivorystar watched the ceremony from her spot on the side of the camp with Sparkfeather, wondering why nobody seemed to have noticed the presence of three BrightClan cats in the camp. Their scents are starting to mingle, she thought. Maybe they can't discern a new one when the old ones are merging anyway.

Hopekit bounded out of the nursery and pounced on a small pile of snow, giggling as she rolled in it. She looked up, spotting Ivorystar and tilting her head before padding over and sniffing the BrightClan cats. "Who are you guys?" She mewed, eyes wide. 

Hollyblaze padded out of the nursery and her eyes widened, rushing over to Hopekit. "Hopekit, stay out of the way," she mewed sternly, picking her up.

Twilightkit peeked out from behind Hollyblaze too, his eyes big and blinking.
Ivorystar purred lightly. "I'm BrightClan's leader, little one. Listen to your mother." Her heart clenched a little, though the memory it brought to the surface she pushed back down as hard as she could.

Hopekit smiled and nodded, tail flicking. "I will," she mewed happily and squirmed free from her mother's jaws. She bounded over to Twilightkit, tackling him with a playful cry.

Hollyblaze dipped her head to Ivorystar out of respect, padding back to her kits with a purr.

Sparkfeather cast an uneasy glance towards Ivorystar. “I’m starting to wonder if I made the wrong descision bringing her here.” She said, her voice taut with panic.

Adderkit raced out the nursery after Hopekit, wanting to keep up with the older kit. "Is BrightClan attacking?" She squeaked, "We need to fight!" 

Smallkit stumbled behind her sister, with wide blue eyes. She skidded to a halt, and backed up towards where Hollyblaze was once she noticed Ivorystar. 

Nightpelt twitched his ear, glaring at the BrightClan leader. The black and white tom padded over to Sparkfeather, muttering to her. "What's going on?" He whispered, flicking his tail tip.

Hollyblaze placed her tail in front of the kits. "They're not attacking, Adderkit," she mewed.

Sparkfeather sighed. “She asked for me to escort her back to camp.” She said.”

"Dear SoulClan," Cloverlily gasped. "How are you going to get rid of them?" she pressed against Marshfeather, rasping her tongue over his cheek.

"Then by the powers of SoulClan, I grant you each your warrior names. Snowclaw, Dusktail, Sunburst, Foxtail, Heatherlily, Cloudscorch, Cedarflare, Snowfall, Blossomcloud, Russetscorch, Adderfang, and Flamefoot. You will all hold a silent vigil tonight guarding the camp. I expect great things from you, young warriors. Each of your bravery, courage, and independence will lead you to be amazing FireClan warriors." Redstar purred, taking a breath before continuing. "And before we resign this meeting, I'd like to give my gratitude to Nightpelt, who recovered speedily from injury and is ready to be deputy once more."

Blossomcloud looked over to where her and Russetscorch's parents were, the two cats watching with bright, prideful expressions.

Cloudscorch puffed her chest in pride, though couldn't help feel a little guilty. I didn't deserve this as much as the others, the voice in her head said, but she flicked her ear as if to get rid of it and leaned into Flamefoot happily. "Warriors! Finally!"

Ivorystar watched the Clan call the new warriors' names, joining in though not nearly as loud. It was always something to celebrate.

"Uh." Marshfeather grumbled, "Well we haven't quite...gotten rid of it?"

Dapplestar glared at Ivorystar and approached her. "Why are you here?" she demanded.

Ivorystar snorted softly, amused by Dapplestar's reaction. "The same reason FireClan is in your camp. The rogues." She looked at Redstar, then back at the FrostClan leader. "I wish to speak to you, Redstar, and all the medicine cats. Mistpool is with me."

Dapplestar looked smugly at Ivorystar. "Alright. Meet me by the medicine den." she mewed.

Falconswoop finished redressing Flurrypaw's wounds just as he scented BrightClan. "Who's here?" he asked, glancing at the other medicine cats.

Soraflight looked in confusion at Ivorystar.

"Ivorystar is here to talk with us." Dapplestar informed them.

Ivorystar dipped her head awkwardly to the medicine cats, turning to Ivypaw. "You all right?" she asked the apprentice, thinking she probably should've prepared them a little more before coming.
Falconswoop's whiskers twitched. "About the prophecy?" he stated, and Ivorystar looked up at him sharply. She gave a simple nod, and Owlpaw sighed, sitting down in his nest again with a huff.

Snowclaw purred happily at her new name, her fur fluffing up in pride. She padded to Redstar, dipping her head, and lifted it after a few heartbeats. “Thank you, Redstar. For being a great leader and mentor.” She purred as she touched her nose to her leader’s shoulder.

Ivyfeather blinked. “Falconswoop? Who’s here?” She asked, shaking an herb from her pelt.

Foxtail and Heatherlily nuzzled eachothef. “Warriors! Finally!” Foxtail said. Dusktail lifted his head up high. Sunburst smiled happily.

Ivypaw nodded, staying close to her leader and dipping her head to the medicine cats. " I'm fine." She meowed to Ivorystar, only her widened eyes giving away the nervousness she felt with so many cats in one camp.

Falconswoop padded back to the herb store. "Ivorystar is, with Mistpool," he said to Ivyfeather.

“Oh-uh, hi Ivorystar.” Ivyfeather said, flicking an ear. “Nice to uh... see you...” She stammered.

Redstar dismissed the Clan with a flick of her tail before swiftly leaping down. She hissed at the smell of BrightClan and rushed over to Dapplestar. "What are you doing here?" she growled at Ivorystar. Her tone was brisk, rather than outright aggressive, but there was no mistaking the harsh words and the way she emphasized 'you'.

Ivorystar snorted. "I'm here to help get rid of the rogues. I believe I received the same prophecy as the medicine cats when I lost a life as the rogues attacked BrightClan's camp last sunset." She spoke dryly to the younger leader.
Owlpaw gasped a little. "That must mean we have to unite to drive out the rogues!"

Ivyfeather widened her eyes. “Unite? But there’s still so many of them...” she said, trailing off with unease. “It might even be better to give them what they want, so no more of us get killed.”

"I could easily trust you, Ivorystar, but the risk is high. Oynx and her rogues are extremely powerful," Redstar grumbled. "But I'm out of ideas. They need to be taken down as soon as possible."
