The North Wind's Camp; The Shelter

The North Wind's camp is an area known to the cats as the Shelter, due to the rather relieving feeling that cats get when coming out from the cold and into the cave's warmth. The entrance is marked by two fallen boulders that almost completely cover it, but a small gap between them is the only way in or out of the camp.
The first thing to note about the Shelter when you walk in is the warmth that radiates from almost every direction; known to the cats are small rivers of rather hot water that stream deep below the earth's surface and, through moons of work by the early cats, have been managed to bubble up into small pools that fill a cave to the left of the entrance. Clockwise around from the pool cave is the sleeping cove where the coldpaws, hunters, and fighters all nest, then another cave for the greenclaws' cove, the nursery, the oldspirits' cove, and to the right of the entrance a small tunnel that leads further into the mountain known as their home. The areas are spacious and the central gathering space is marked by a ring of bright white stone, where upon crossing that line, no lies are to be spoken and no harsh words to be shed.

Pale Dawn stepped outside of the cave for the first time in what seemed like moons, the first break in the wind insisting that everyone go and get some fresh air. "Gentle Rain," she called to the tom, who lifted his head and padded over. 
"Hello." He looked into the whiteness that blanketed everything and twitched an ear. "I'll make a note to tell the queens that their kits shouldn't be outside too long, or unaccompanied."

Crumbled Leaf padded out of the cave, shaking his fur roughly. His eyes scanned their surroundings instantly, a habit of his that was never going to break. He slowly padded over to Pale Dawn and Gentle Rain, grateful the snow covering the ground was soft enough for him to walk without worrying about his front right paw for right now. "They should play over there," he added, pointing with his muzzle to a spot that clearly had less snow due to being protected by the boulders. He gave no indication of apologizing for adding himself into the conversation nor dictating where the kits should remain while they were outside.

Night Rise stretched out and slipped free from the cave, his heterochromic eyes flicking about the snow covered landscape. He glanced to his mate, Pale Dawn, and padded over, lightly flicking his tail against her side.
