DuskClan | Camp

Crowtail was standing at the outskirts of the group of cats huddling together, coughing and blinking away the dust from the aftermath. His green eyes widened as he noticed Coldfoot carrying Firefall and rushed over. "What happened? Is she going to be okay?" He questioned anxiously while catching his breath, his tail lashing behind him, "I should've been there to help her..." 

Mistypad nodded solemnly. "Let's hope none of them got it as bad as we did," She replied to Larchmask, shaking her long-furred pelt with effort, although most of the dirt stuck to it. Her breath caught in her throat, overhearing Heatherdawn's unfortunate death. "How horrible," She mewed quietly with her head drooped, "Oh no, the poor little kits, what will be of them?"


Blizzardpaw tore through the forest, finally reaching the camp after the ground settled down from shaking violently. The cream white she-cat panted and huffed from her sprint there, not taking a second longer to mourn or question the camp's condition. She bounded down to Tigerstorm and Scorchthicket. "Hawksky and Bramblepaw are still out by the rocky cliffs! I think Bramblepaw was injured, but I still haven't seen them back," She informed them, standing taller with narrowed eyes in thought, hoping they were okay.

Palesmoke ran up behind Blizzardpaw, her chest heaving from the sprint. The sight of Dawnflower gaze her a slight relief, and she glanced around for Fallenash and Dustmask, chest tightening with worry. Dawnflower's immediate reaction upon seeing her was to dart over and nuzzle into her fur, much to Palesmoke's dismay. She shifted slightly backwards, and nodded to Scorchthicket when he looked to her for answers. The deputy sighed, closing his eyes. 

Scorchthicket shifted his paws against the ground, looking towards the cliffs. He had to put the safety of the whole clan first, but he couldn't abandon Bramblepaw and Hawksky. "Tigerstorm! Take everyone to the Skytrees, they should be safe there," he began, searching the eyes of the present cats. "Coldfoot, Tulipsnow, pick some cats to go herb gathering with you in the morning," he mewed, tone considerably softer than the command to Tigerstorm. His red tail twitched. "I'll be taking a patrol to find Hawksky and Bramblepaw. Jasmineivy, Adderfang, and Crowtail, with me. The rest of you, get to the Skytrees."

Willowpaw shifted nervously and looked to Emberpaw and Fallowpaw. She wanted to help find their clanmates, but going against Scorchthicket's orders could mean their death. She rose to her paws, and looked instead to Tigerstorm and Robinstar. It looked like the leader had lost yet another life. The apprentice sighed and rolled her eyes. She was glad the deputies were taking charge. 

Kindleflame curled into Riverswoop, her worry climbing as Scorchthicket barked out orders. "What if they don't come back?" She mewed weakly, looking up at her mate. Kitekit pawed nervously at her mother, coughing when some dust rushed over her tortoiseshell pelt.

“Are you sure that’s a good idea, Scorchthicket? We have injured cats that need our full attention.” Tigerstorm said, looking at Firefall. “If you insist, I shall take everyone there.”

"We don't have time for self pitying, just help me carry her!" Coldfoot snapped, stumbling toward the Skytrees.

Fallowpaw nudged her siblings. "You heard Scorchthicket, let's go!" she mewed.

Ebonyrose trotted after Tigerstorm, wheezing after inhaling the dust from the collapsing camp.

"We can't exactly stay here, Tigerstorm. We'll die," Scorchthicket retorted, lashing his tail behind him. His worry for his apprentice was skyrocketing, his heart pounding. "Let's go," he called, then started in the direction of the cliffs, struggling to see through the dust.

Palesmoke padded beside Dawnflower, who gingerly picked up Kitekit for Kindleflame. The queen had Wisteriakit in her jaws, but still nodded a thanks as she followed the rest of the clan.

Willowpaw whimpered and scampered after Fallowpaw. "Come on, Emberpaw! We gotta go!" 

Softecho reluctantly followed, nudging Emberpaw after his littermates. She glanced back at Adderfang and flattened her ears, but kept on the path to the Skytrees.

Tigerstorm nodded, motioning for his clanmates to join him as he walked towards the Skytrees.

Whispermist made sure his apprentice was beside him, before following Tigerstorm.

Adderfang sucked in a breath when his name was called to join Scorchthicket's patrol. He was terrified. He just wanted to go somewhere safe with Softecho. He shook his head, frowning at his own thoughts. Puffing out his chest, he bumped heads with Softecho before following behind Scorchthicket, ignoring the paranoia thrumming in the back of his mind. 

Emberpaw walked closely to Softecho as Tigerstorm led the Clan to the Skytrees. He looked back at the destruction of their camp and sighed. Hopefully, they could find good shelter in their own territory, and collect more herbs and prey. "How are you doing?" he asked his mentor, seeing her flatten her ears and trying to cheer her up.

Tranquilshade listened as his name was called out, nodding his head slowly before following Adderfang, Scorchthicket and Crowtail out of the camp, flicking his tail slowly

Tulipsnow bit her tongue to stop herself telling the deputy that the early frosts had already killed anything usable, instead walking alongside Coldfoot with a rather large lump of anxiety in her chest. 

Sootpaw kept his ears down, not knowing where Heatherdawn was but not daring to ask.

Crowtail nodded, swallowing his fretting words, although before he was able to help carry Firefall, his name was called. "Mouse-dung," He hissed under his breath, dipping his head in apology to Coldfoot. He hesitated, torn between listening to his clan's orders, or staying with Firefall. However, he bounded away to catch up as the patrol began leaving the camp; his eyes now set on helping his two stranded clanmates.

Blizzardpaw watched as Adderfang, her mentor ran off to help. Her hopes were set higher, knowing she could trust her mentor and deputy to be able to help Bramblepaw, and Hawksky too.

Mistypad sighed, following Tigerstorm towards the Skytrees, and staying beside Larchmask. Her tail twitched, the earthquake would cause a lot of problems for them now. She glanced up at the twinkling night sky. "SoulClan help us," The elder muttered, shaking her head slowly.

Ic: Larchmask looked back reluctantly at his home and turned away, following his denmate to the Skytrees.

Robinstar shook herself off as she woke up, sighing to herself. Not only did she now feel weird, she felt really out of sync with... everything. To the point where it was like, a weird calm as destruction was everywhere. Probably not the best thing, given that this was merged with the shock of her home being... collapsed. She noticed everybody moving away, and with one last around the camp, she hesitated and followed after them. Maybe they'd be able to rebuild, right?
