Waterclan Training hollow

Waterclan's training hollow is a small shaded hill risen above the rest of the territory, which is marsh. there is a small, deep pool here that apprentices learn to swim within. There is also a massive birch tree which has soft bark which the aprentices learn to climb on.

Kindleheart padded into the clearing, and sat down. "Okay, Spottedpaw. Show me what you know." she said, her tail curling around her paws.

Softstar padded into the hollow and asked "Could I help with something?" she sat down.

Rockshade padded into the hollow with Nightpaw quickly fallowing not to far behind. "Lets practice hunting now" Rockshade said as he saw his mate. He thought to his self Softstar has looked distracted lately. And i know that hunting has been good right now but she was getting bigger. "Come over hear Nightpaw" he said "Softstar can help". He watched Softstar pad over to him. "I need to tell you something." she whispered quietly to her mate then turned to Nightpaw. "Watch Rockshade" she said as her mate got down like he was going to hunt. Nightpaw nodded to her leader and walked over to her mentor. She looked at Rockshade then quickly mimicked what Rockshade is doing. "Why do we need to practice this if we can just go fishing" she asked as Softstar pushed her closer to the ground. "Because when the river freezes over in the leaf-bare we need something to eat." Rockshade said getting up. He quickly gathered a small pile of leaves and set them down. Rockshade opened his mouth to speak but Nightpaw was already padding forward slowly. She pounced at just the right spot and landed on it almost perfectly. She quickly bit the leaves playfully. Softstar purred and mewed "Come on lets get back to camp." She padded next to Rockshade with Nightpaw running trying to catch up. She would stop when she smelled something.

Kindleheart shook her head in bewilderment, the looked around. "Spottedpaw?" she said

"Yes?" she asked

Brightfire entered the Training Hollow. "Mind if I join? I am sooooooo bored! That is like nothing to do! AT ALL!" complained Brightsnow as she walked over to Kindleheart and Spottedpaw, and sat down.

Kindleheart purred. "Sure Brightsnow! I'll be glad for the help," she said kindly. "Now Spottedpaw, show me what you know."

"Yeah Spottedpaw, show us what fighting skills you know so far! Come on, show us!" exclaimed Brightsnow, already growing impatient.

Spottedpaw jumped on Brightsnow

Brightsnow laughed with happiness and excitement and she quickly evaded the attack as she hit at Spottedpaw's side with her sheathed paw saying "Is that the best you got, Spottedpaw? I thought you were good at fighting!"

Kindleheart purred quietly and stayed out of the way. Maybe having a friend to help mentor wasnt such a bad idea after all...

Spottedpaw tackled Brightsnow until she had her pinned down. She used all her weight to keep her down.

Brightsnow was somewhat suprised by this apprentice's strength. It was quite impressive, warrior level even. She tried to push Spottedpaw off of her, to no avail. "Curse my small size!" she said as she continued to try and push Spottedpaw off of her. She then thought of something stupid and so she did it, because she is that kind of person.
She banged her head in Spottedpaw's head and then flipped her over and tried to keep her there. Her head was dizzy, but it had worked!

ic: Kindleheart purred. "Okay Brightsnow, Spottedpaw. I think you've proved your point. Spottedpaw, i think you may be ready for becoming a warrior, but let me see your hunting skills first," she explained.

OOC-LOL! 1 second. I was thinking of maybe it should be spit, like her spitting in her face, but then I decided to go with the good old Head Bang
I did that one time. It worked

IC-Brightsnow got off of Spottedpaw and said "Ow...ya know that would have never even happened if you didn't pin me! Now my heads all bruised internally and I'm all dizzy!" complained Brightsnow as she sat down next to Kindleheart.

ic: Kindleheart looked at Spottedleaf, and flicked her ears at a small squirrel that had cautiously come down from the trees and was nibblig a water chestnut. "Get that," she whispered.

"Sorry" she said guiltily her cheeks blushing

Spottedpaw spotted the squirrel just as her mentor said to get it. She crept up on it and pounced on it at just the right time killing it leaving a small amount of blood.

Brightsnow watched Spottedpaw carefully, noting her ever flaw. "Hmmm, that could have been better. Your footwork was sloppy and all off. Plus, you left some blood behind from the kill so it wasn't perfect. At all. Your just luckily that that squirrel was mousebrained and didn't run away or else you would have missed it completely." she said.

Kindleheart sighed. So this is why Brightsnow wasnt picked to be a mentor.... she thought to herself. "Brightsnow! At least she caught the squirrel. You can take that back to camp, Spottedpaw. I'm going to go tell Softstar that you are ready to become a warrior!" She said, a hint of pride in her voice shown with just a touch of show-offyness to Brightsnow.

Brightsnow snorted "At least."
Brightsnow looked at Spottedpaw and purred "Congratulation, Spottedpaw. You deserve it!"

"Thanks" she purred. Then she picked up the squirrel and headed back towards camp. On the way she caught the scent of rabbit. She sat the squirrel down, and caught the rabbit quickly. Then she started off back towards camp again

Nightstorm went to the trainings hollow with Nettelpaw.

Nettlepaw followed his mentor.

"What is the most important rule for a warrior when in a fight with another warrior?", he asked.

"Never turn your back against your enemy?" Nettlepaw suggested.

"This is also very important, but what I ment is a question of honor. You're not supposed to kill a weeker warrior, just show them that they are defeated and then let them run."

"Yes Nightstorm." Nettlepaw replied.

"So here is the first thing every apprentice learns", he said, "It is called leap and hold. You leap onto the enemys back, get a hold up there and try to harm him in any way. Bit his scuff, his ears, scrach his back with for oder backpaws. But jump down, bevor he rolles you over."

Nettlepaw listened closely.

"Try that", he said.

Nettlepaw got himself together and sprung onto Nightstorm's back claws sheathed because this was practice not a real battle.

"Very good", he shook his back a little to see if his apprentice was going to fall down.

Nettlepaw held on tight.

Then he let himself fall down and roll over.

Nettlepaw flew off quickly before Nightstorm could roll over.

He got up on his paws as the roll was done and looked at his apprentice: "I'm pretty amazed", he purred.

Nettlepaw purreddddddd.

He smiled a little and then said: "But what do you do if your opponent is smaller than you?"

ic: "The belly rake?" Nettlepaw guessed

OOC: As if I know by heart.

IC: "It is a good opportunity to seariusly hurt your opponent, but it is hard to do if he is physically stronger because he will try to stop you. We might train this with another apprentic."

"Okay." said Nettlepaw

"Let's collect some moss and then we'll return, maybe we find some others for hunting by sunhigh", he said searching.

"Okay." Nettlepaw said

He found a place where some moss grew and collected it.

Spottedcloud arrived at the training hollow with her apprentice following her close behind.

Nettlepaw collected all the moss he could carry then said through his mouth full of moss "Will this do?"

Sapphirepaw purred. "You look like you have a moss beard!" she giggled to Nettlepaw.

Spottedcloud purred in amusement then asked her apprentice "First of all, what is the most important rule for a warrior when fighting another warrior?"

"I'm sur it will", he nodded, "Hi Spottedcloud hi Sapphirpaw", he purred softly.

Nettlepaw purred.

"Hello Nightstorm." Spottedcloud replied.
