Icepaw glanced at him. shed never done a hunter crouch. but she dropped into her best one anyway, with her ears pricked and her tail rustling along the ground.

Nettlefur watched and observed then said "You want to keep your tail still and you want to put as little weight as possible on yourself so when you walk the prey won't hear you coming." Then Nettlefur demonstrated.

Icepaw scented a bird and looked around for it. she saw it and dropped into the hunters crouch he had shown her. she stalked up and the bird and pounced a heartbeat too soon. the bird flew away. she turned back to Nettlefur with a frustrated hiss.

"That's important as well but what I had in mind is that you are not supposed to kill a weaker warrior, you just need to show them that they have been defeated. The object of this statement is that you don't need to kill to win." Nettlefur said

"Okay. One of the first battle moves an apprentice learns is called Leap and Hold. What you do is leap on to the opponent's back and get a grip. Then try to hurt them in any way that you can. I don't care what you do to them just hurt them somehow. Just remember to jump down before they catch you and roll you over." Nettlefur said.

"Ready to try it?" He asked

Icepaw nodded. she crouched low to the ground and then pounced to try and land on Nettlefur's back. she went fliying over him as she jumped too high. "oops,"s he said.

Icepaw shook dirt and moss out of her fur and crouched down again. this time she didnt jumped as high she almost missed him again and barely landed on his back. "Like that?" she asked
