EchoClan camp

Hazelflight padded into camp with several yarrow stems and juniper berries in her mouth and golden-rod tucked under her chin. Trying not to gag, she carefully released the golden rod with the rest then spat out the herbs in her mouth. "Sorry." she muttered, gagging.

Brookleaf's eyes followed Sageflight from the moment he walked in, to the moment he disappeared from view and into the medicine den. She had stopped just outside of the nursery, trying to appear cool and collected. After a few moments, she sighed.

Sageflight flicked his ears, pushing all of the herbs into a pile and began to sort them. 

Kitestar glanced at Brookleaf, holding back a little purr of amusement from where she lay in the shade, her head on her paws.

Frostfeather padded back into camp after her walk. She wanted to make sure everything was going all right with the clan.

Hazelflight, pretending nothing had happened, started sorting the juniper and yarrow apart.

Brightberry scoffed lightly as Windkit, tail wiggling, crept up behind Poppykit and leapt with a loud squeak, pouncing awkwardly on his sister's tail and purring.

Cloudedpaw sighed as she watched the kits scuffle, grooming her grey fur. "Oh to be a kitten again," she joked, earning a scoff from Hollypaw. "If I recall correctly you couldn't wait to be out of the nursery."

Poppykit yelped in surprise and quickly turned to bat at her brother's ear. "Why you little!" She pulled her tail away and with a quick wiggle of her butt, pounced on her brother in return. "You'll pay for that!" She giggled.

Windkit laughed and ran off around the camp, managing to slip inside the warrior's den with a purr of amusement, that turned into a gasp of "whoa" as he realised how big it was.

ooc: Soooo. I need deputies here. Willow, you auditioned that one cat right? xD
Who has warriors?

Tinykit looked around camp, she was very bored. She saw Speckledpaw. "Speckledpaw! can we PLEASE do something? PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!!????"

Speckledpaw laughed and bounded over to his cousin. "What do you want to do, Tinykit? And keep it down, some cats are trying to sleep and train their apprentices." Speckledpaw made a face at his younger cousin and nudged her gently and playfully.

Tinykit laughed. "Could you show me how to hunt?"

ooc: use moss?

ooc: yeah, sure.  

ic: "Okay, I guess I could." Speckledpaw let out a mrrow of amusement while grabbing a ball of moss that a kit left outside of the nursery. "Drop low to your haunches, shake your bottom to get a better jump, and then stalk your prey very lightly. Once it doesn't notice anything and you are close enough, LEAP!" Speckledpaw instructed and stepped back to observe Tinykit and her moves.

Forestfall padded back into camp with a proud look on her face, and she tossed the pheasant into the prey-pile. She then picks up a wren for herself and munches on it in the corner of camp, watching Speckledpaw and Tinykit playfight while practicing their battle and hunting moves.

Quickshatter padded out of the warriors den and stretched.
"Geez! How cold can it be in newleaf?" he complained.
Littlepelt followed him out of the warrior's den and rubbed her pelt against her brother's.
She purred. "Maybe we can go hunting to at least keep our bellies warm!"
"Maybe..." Quickshatter growled.

OOC: Haven't rped here in so long...

Hazelflight padded out of the medicine den over to where some of the younger warriors were talking. "How are you guys doing?" she mewed cheerfully.

Quickshatter replied with a grumble through his chattering teeth.
Littlepelt nudged her brother and faced the medicine cat. "We're fine, but Quickkit here can't stand the cold!"

She chuckled. "Well, it does tend to get cold in the mountains," she mewed.

Littlepelt giggled. "We were gonna go hunting, wanna come?"
Quickshatter huffed, cold air clouds spewing into the sky.

"Don't see why not, I haven't hunted in a while and no one around here appears sick or injured." she mewed.

Littlepelt purred. "Okay, we'll meet you at the Flower Meadow, Hazelflight."
She nudged her brother and the two padded out of camp, heading towards the meadow.

Lynxcloud walked out of the warriors den, stretching. She decided to go for a walk in the Flower Meadow.

Snowstripe and Forestfall were gathered around the fresh-kill pile, socializing.

Speckledpaw sighed and just walked in circles around camp, not knowing what to do. He noticed Lynxcloud bounding towards the entrance to camp and ran up to stop her in her tracks. "Where you going?" he asked, desperate to leave camp and go somewhere.
Lynxcloud calmly replied, "To the Flower Meadow. I'm bored here."
Speckledpaw jumped up and down in excitement. "Can I come with?!!? I'm really bored too."
Lynxcloud hesitated, wondering if this would ruin her reputation, but then shrugged. She sighed. "Sure, I guess. Come on, Speckledpaw." she waved her tail for him to follow her, and they walked out of camp. Speckledpaw took on straight for the Flower Meadow, not even looking back if Lynxcloud was even following him.

Littlepelt had padded back into camp and placed 2 mice on the prey-pile. Then, she picked out a small lapwing from the pile and bit into it.

Frostfeather was just sitting in camp grooming her fur when she saw Littlepelt padding throuhg camp entrance with pieces of prey. She spoke to her "How's the prey out there?" she asked

Littlepelt looked up from the prey she was eating. "Good, but some rodents are still in their holes." She replied.

"Well it is pretty early." Frostfeather replied. Then her stomach growled reminding her that she was hungry. She decided that she might as well eat as well and grabbed prey from the pile as well.

Littlepelt purred then looked around camp. Hmm... she thought. Where'd Quickleap go?
"Hey Frostfeather? Have you seen Quickleap?"

Snowstripe padded up to the young warrior. Limping, she leaned down to pick out a pigeon from the prey heap and sat beside Littlepelt. Forestfall sitting on the other end of the prey heap, she quickly finished gulping down the last morsels of her finch and then padded away to go make dirt.
"How ya doin', Littlepelt? Anythin' new happenin'?" Snowstripe asked, munching calmly on her pigeon.

"Not much..." mewed Littlepelt, nipping more off her bird. "What's up with your leg?" She asked, being herself and forgetting about her brother.

"Oh, nothing, it's-it's a long story. Still, if you have time I'd be happy to tell you." Snowstripe felt like she had said the wrong thing. Embarrassed, she hid her face into her pigeons fur and nibbled at it slowly.
OOC: To the admins, I didn't really tell the story of her leg in her audition, so I'm just gonna make one up, okay? Just a heads up. :3

bic: "Oh, I have time. Go on." The grey cat finished her prey and curled her forelegs under her.

"Well," the pure white half-Persian settled herself into a comfortable position, pushing the bones of her pigeon away roughly with her muzzle.
"I was still a young warrior, and me and my friends were out for a walk. Of course, my friends all died when this happened. I was the only one that came out alive. It was a cold leaf-bare night, when we heard a rumble. Then a hill of snow came tumbling down onto us, trapping us with barely any air. My leg was twisted and it was bunched in between the strong snow and a big boulder next to it, and after the night we could hardly sleep, I was almost forced to snap it off with something so I wouldn't die from the pressure. Then an EchoClan patrol came and saved us, but on the journey back home to camp my friends died. So that's how my leg had a limp. Plus, it's common at this old age for everyone to limp and rasp." Snowstripe finished, taking a few breathes and scratching behind her ears.

ooc: i gotta sleep after this post so goodnight till 2morrow.
"Wow... That must've been real scary..." Littlepelt suddenly remembered something. "Oh! Hey, have you seen Quickshatter?"

"Welp, now that it's over it ain't that scary." Snowstripe mewed. "Also, no. Haven't seen 'em. Well, bye, now. I gotta go rest my ol' bones." Snowstripe purred, and padded away into the elders den again.

Hazelflight lay lazily in the medicine den, looking out at the camp. "Maybe I should get some sleep..." she murmured, yawning and rolling over. She stared at the back wall of the medicine den.

Sagepetal padded across camp and glanced around. "Should I send out patrols...? Or a hunting party...?" she murmered.

Snowstripe got up and stretched, padding across camp. 
"Now what should I do today?" she meowed to herself, noticing Sagepetal pacing around camp. She rushed up.
"Hello, Sagepetal! What's got ye' so worried and worked up?" the white elder flicked her tail in curiosity.

Sagepetal stopped pacing and looked up at the elder. "Oh, hello Snowstripe. Just... not quite adjusted to this deputy stuff yet... Hehe..."

Snowstripe shrugged. Sneezing, she flicked her tail and walked away, not really noticing she seemed kinda rude.

Sagepetal decided she would arrange a hunting patrol.
The she-cat padded into the warriors den and mowed. "Hey... umm... Lynxcloud, Forestfall, would you come with me on a hunting party please?

Lynxcloud and Forestfall's eyes clicked open. Perking her ears, Lynxcloud nodded and stretched, grabbing a starling to eat before the patrol. Forestfall followed, yawning and quickly gulping down a small, plump mouse.
OOC: I just realized I haven't RPed with these charries in a while..

Kitestar stretched before hopping down from her den. "I think I'll come along too, Sagepetal." she said. "I could use some time out of camp," She smiled at the other warriors.

"Oh, ok." mewed the deputy. "Let's go."

Brookleaf padded around the camp aimlessly. She hesitated near the medicine den. She wanted to see Sageflight...but he just made her so nervous! She lightly padded forward, attempting to be as quiet as possible... If he was there, she would say hello. If not...well, then some other time.

Littlepelt got up after finishing her prey and looked at Brookleaf. "Hey, have you seen Quickleap?"

Hazelflight messed around with a leaf that had fallen to the floor in the den. "Oh hey, Brookleaf, looking for Sageflight?" she inquired in a bored tone.

Brookleaf squeaked in fright. There goes that plan. "I haven't seen them... and yes, I am."

Riverwind yawned tiredly and padded out of the warrior's den, stretching in the sunlight and shaking clumps of moss out of his fur.
Briarspirit caught sight of him and frowned before pointedly turning away.

"Did i hear my name?" Sageflight pricked his ears, poking just his head around the corner of the herb store.

"Yeah, Brookleaf's here." Hazelflight called. Again. she added in her head.

"Oh," Sageflight meowed, coming all the way out. He tried to wipe the slightly pleased look off his face as he did. "Do you need something?" He asked Brookleaf, his eyes automatically softening as he looked at her.
