Briarkit sniffed the air for prey and followed the scent of a mouse. Briarkit accidentally stepped on a stick and it made a loud cracking noise, scaring away the prey.

Skyfeather made a soft tch sound before padding over to her. "It's alright. You know... probably every other patrol I went on as an apprentice, I would step on a stick too. It takes a while to get used to it but I'm sure you'll be fine." he meowed, sniffing for more prey.

Briarkit nodded and sniffed for more prey. She went after another mouse. This time, whenever she thoguht it was the right time she pounced on the mouse and killed it just in time.

Skyfeather nodded in approvement, curling his tail around her shoulders for a moment. "That was a great catch Briarkit! You could've pounced a bit sooner but like I said, it'll take some getting used to."

Skyfeather shrugged. "Do you want to try and catch something else? Maybe Roseheart would appreciate it." He purred a bit, feeling a certain affection for the kit in front of him.

He purred again before crouching like before. "First see if you can scent something, tell me if it's something other than a mouse. If not then catch it like you caught the last one."

"Ah that's not much different from a mouse. Faster but they can't hear as well... You would still hunt them much like a mouse though." he said wisely, blue eyes looking around the hollow.

Briarkit stalked up to the squirrel like she thought she was supposed to. She was right in line with it and pounced on it.

Skyfeather smiled widely and nodded. "Great job Briarkit! Be careful when hunting them though because they can climb to get away." He felt proud for the kit, wondering how much longer it would be until she was an apprentice.

Skyfeather nodded in agreement and stood, grabbing the prey he had caught, before leading the way back. He looked pridefully at the kit before turning toward the camp.

Briarkit followed, picking up her prey on the way. The prey was so big compared to Briarkit's size that she had to drag it on the floor.

Dragonfly walked around here. she pricked her ears as she heard voices nearby. she crept over to some bushes and looked out, seeing some cats. (The cats at the woodpile) she watched them for a while.

"That's good. Since the object for your opponent with that move is to roll over and grab you, it's good to be quick. You can easily get a good few slashes to their head and back before leaping away when they roll over." he explained, purring in approval.

"I'm sure you'll be a great warrior. Let's try the front paw strike(?) next. I'll run at you and the objective is to slam your paws on your opponent's head before they can slash at you. It'll stun them for a moment and does some damage." he said.
