FrostClan's Training hollow

Crimsonpaw nodded eagerly.

Heronpaw gave a nod as well and quickly did what Sparrowflight demonstrated to be sure she could do it.

Sparrowflight purred. "Heronpaw, pin Crimsonpaw down, and try to get out any way you can. Then you can swap over."

"Right Sparrowflight." she meowed before couching down, watching Crimsonpaw closely.

"Ready, Crimsonpaw?" Sparrowflight asked

"Yep." Crimsonpaw mewed.

Heronpaw smirked and leaped forward when he was distracted, pinning him easily.

Crimsonpaw used his back legs to kick up at her stomach in the belly rake, but with sheathed claws. then her kicked up harder, throwing her off him easily, as to her smaller size.

Heronpaw leaped away, panting from his kick. "Nice one..." she muttered, taking a short second to catch her breath.

"Did i hurt you?" Crimsonpaw asked, frowning slightly.

"No no, just knocked the breath from me is all." she smiled and stood straight.

"Okay."C rimsonpaw said then looked at Sparrowflight.

Sparrowflight purred. "That's great. Check your paw position when actually clawing, as that can define whether you injure or kill the opponent." he mewed seriously. "Crimsonpaw, you pin Heronpaw, then we'll head back to camp."

Heronpaw stood up, grinning, before crouching once more.

Crimsonpaw leaped at Heronpaw, easily knocking her off balance and pinning her down.

Sparrowflight watched.

Heronpaw smirked and ran her paws along the length of his belly as if she was clawing him.

Sparrowflight froze as the ground beneath him began to rattle. "Get away from the trees!" he yowled immediately, knowing that they could fall.

Crimsonpaw scrambled to his paws, doing as Sparrowflight said and running into the middle of the hollow.

Heronpaw hurried after him, her pelt bristling in fear.

When the ground didn't stop shaking, Spareowflogjt gasped. "We have to get back to camp."

Ooc: their mother is Beetlewing right?

Heronpaw nodded, hurrying after him.

ic: Crimsonpaw hurried back to camp with them.

Onyxfur and Whisperpaw walked here, then Onyxfur turned to her apprentice. "Alright. Have you been fighting at all before?" Onyxfur asked, still acting a little cross. "Yeah... And I don't get this!" Whisperpaw snapped. Onyxfur growled. "What don't you get?" Whisperpaw blinked a few times, expecting her to snap back. Whisperpaw's eyes narrowed. "I don't get why I have to be trained! I bet I could bet you with my paws tied behind my back!" Whisperpaw snapped. Onyxfur smirked. "Well, if you feel that way why don't you test that fact?" Onyxfur snickered, and launched herself at Whisperpaw. Whisperpaw dodged, and Onyxfur almost lost balance. Whisperpaw watched her mentor, laughing silently from a tree branch. Onyxfur leaped up in the air, and rolled on the ground, her weight nearly crushing Whisperpaw to death. Onyxfur got up, letting down her guard. Whisperpaw lay on the ground fighting for breath. Then her water-blue eyes shot open and she lept up, swiping the large warrior off her feet. Onyxfur fell to the ground. "Look who's need to be trained now?" Whisperpaw scoffed, then pinned down the larger warrior, and gently biting her mentor's neck. "Go on with it then..." Onyxfur smirked. Whisperpaw's claws slid out. Nightpaw dashed into Whisperpaw. "Stop!" She yowled, pinning Whisperpaw down. "What are you doing here!" Whisperpaw snapped. "I left to go on a hunt, but I found you about to kill your own mentor instead." Nightpaw growled. Onyxfur got up and watched the two apprentices. "Finish her off, Nightpaw!" Onyxfur ordered. "No, Onyxfur." Nightpaw meowed firmly, turning to the warrior and letting up Whisperpaw. "She is your apprentice." She added. "I bet if Snowstar found out about this the Clan would send you to apprentice duties, maybe even exile you." Nightpaw smirked. "Fine, lets go. I'll just say we were attacked by foxes." Whisperpaw meowed. "Lets go." Onyxfur said, leading the way back to camp.

Winterstorm padded here, surprised at the chilly temperature. He glanced back at Pepperpaw.

Pepperpaw hummed a tune to herself as she padded after Winterstorm. She was so going to boast about how she had battle training and her sister didn't.

"Alright." he meowed before spinning around to face her, already crouching a bit.

Pepperpaw narrowed her eyes and crouched. After a wiggle of her haunches, she leapt up and aimed to land on Winterstorm's back. He hadn't told her to begin, but hey, surprise was the best element when fighting.

Winterstorm smirked and quickly moved to the side, watching as she crashed to the ground. Twitching his whiskers in amusement, he stood up straight once more. "Never hesitate in a battle." he explained, pacing around her. "An enemy will always watch your body, you can't give them time to react." he lay his tail on her haunches for a second to prove his point.

Pepperpaw shook dirt from her pelt. She'd landed hard and was relieved she hadn't hurt herself. She looked back at her haunches and narrowed her blue eyes, glaring. "It has a mind of it's own!" She complained. Wiggling just seemed to come naturally.

"Don't worry about it." he meowed, moving away from her and crouching again. "Get up and face me, I'll show you how it's done."

Pepperpaw stood up, trying to be on her tip toes so that she could be as big as him.

Winterstorm smirked even wider and leaped forward as quickly as he could. Right before he ran into her, he jumped to the side and stood up with a flick of his tail, snickering at her surprised expression.

Pepperpaw threw a shocked expression at him. "You charged me!" Her tone was half accusing and half full with fascination.

"Do you think that an enemy cat won't? They'll do more than charge at you." he meowed, cuffing her over the ear. "But do you see how quickly you need to move? You can't let your body give you away, you have to be fast and fluid, no hesitation."

"Yes." She mewed and flicked her tail then leaped at him quickly, attempting to pin the older cat down. She attempted to aim a blow from her front paw at his face in the process.

Winterstorm gasped in surprise and tried to roll over, successfully pinning her shoulders and tail down. "Never try to pin down a bigger and stronger opponent, unless you know that they can't gain the upper paw."

Pepperpaw wiggled underneath her mentor in a vain attempt to escape. "No fair!"

"Life's not fair." he responded flatly, getting off to let her up.

Pepperpaw immediately hopped onto her feet and went in for another attack. She would land something before they had to go back! She aimed another blow at his face and dashed behind him.

Winterstorm blinked before spinning around, sweeping his tail under her paws to knock her down.

Pepperpaw growled. She didn't usually have a temper, but she could feel hers rising. How was she supposed to learn if he didn't let her execute moves without blocking her? She would never become a warrior if he didn't let her do moves and make mistakes. Her claws instinctively unsheathed as she glared at him.

Winterstorm grinned and flicked his tail again. "Come get me." he purred.

"No." She growled, her gray tail flicking in fury.

"Oh? Then I guess we're done training for today." he stood up straight and licked a paw nonchalantly.

"Useless furball." Pepperpaw growled under her breath, hoping her mento heard and headed back to camp with her tail high. As her fury dulled, she became more depressed and upset about the training session.

"By the way Pepperpaw..." he turned around, a serious glint in his orange-amber eyes. "It isn't nice to tease those close to you."

"Tell it to someone who cares!" She called over her shoulder.
