Darwin closed the passenger door than sat in the driver seat. "Once they hit 12 I teach them." Darwin said as he started the car and drove towards his home.

"They're lucky then. I begged my dad to teach me how to shoot a rifle but he said it wasn't ladylike," Relin scoffed, propping her feet up on the dashboard.

"Well once they're allowed to babysit I want them to know how to defend themselves and the family. Next year I'll teach you how to fight with a knife." Darwin said as he pulled in front of his house.

Relin smiled and moved her feet off the dash, crossing her arms over her chest. "Should I wait in here or do you need my help?"

"No I've got it I'm just changing clothes and grabbing the guns." Darwin said as he exited the car. Entering his his room and changing into some jeans a t-shirt and a flannel.

After changing Darwin unlocked the gunsafe in his room and carried four large bundles and two other smaller bundles to the truck. "Hey Shelby don't touch these 'till we get to the range." Darwin entered the truck and began driving to the range.

"Ha ha." Darwin said sarcastically as he put on his aviator sunglasses. And continued on the road. "So Relin, did you move here for your teaching career?" Darwin asked.

"Sort of. All of my family is here, and my mom died so I moved back from Italy," Relin replied quietly.

"Oh... I'm sorry to hear that. But let's try not to worry about that right now. We're here to teach you and Shelby to shoot. It's actually a good outlet. But we can talk about it at the party. Okay?" Darwin said as he parked the truck at the range.

Darwin quit one of his jobs after his boss was a jerk and he flirted with Relin, she then let her class leave early. Darwin is now taking Relin and Shelby to a shooting range. Before a block party.

"Okay So here's the rifles you'll each be using." Darwin said as he handed Shelby and Relin each a rifle.

After everyone left, Aqua walked down the hall with her boyfriend. "Wanna hang out, just you and I for s bit?" He asked. Aqua giggled. "Sure!" She said happily. He led her to a bench and they both sat down and chatted.

Lila watched Jason climb the tree with a drawing book. She tucked her pen behind her ear, and tucked her own sketchbook in her belt. She walked up to the tree and waved up at him. " Hey." She called.

Shelby jumped out of the bed and headed into the shooting range, listening to NONSTOP on her phone with earbuds.

"Oh.... Hi." Jason said a bit annoyed that he wasn't getting his peace and quiet.

"Okay Shelby, time to unplug while I help you and Relin out with how to use these." Darwin said as he pulled Shelbys earbuds out and held the rifle out to her.

Lila grabbed a limb, swinging up onto the branch next to him. " Whatya drawin?" She asked, glancing at his sketchbook.

Shelby sighed, turning off the music. " I already know how, you keep it on safety mode until you are ready to shoot, then get it ready, aim look through this thing, unsafety cap it, and pull the trigger. AND no one needs to be in front of you when you are ready to shoot.

"Oh... Just a character in working on." Jason said as he offered her his notebook.

Relin looked away when she caught Shelby's gaze, closing her eyes. "Darwin, can I just shoot some other guns for now? You should have time with your daughter after all. And I'm not part of the family so I'm only intruding," she muttered, head down.

Shelby glanced at Relin, confused about the sudden change of heart, but shrugged and looked back at the magazine.

Lila took the notebook carefully, knowing how precious a drawing book could be so someone. She turned the pages softly. "Your really good." She commented. " What are all these characters for?"

Relin took the gun and loaded the clip, walking to where the targets were. She flipped off the man at the desk when she heard his comment about how women shouldn't be shooting. "I'll shoot if I damn well want to," she snapped, pulling on the earmuff things and aiming. Her eyes narrowed and she flicked off the safety, pulling the trigger.

"So you will next insert the magazine into the rifle and turn off the safety." Darwin said as he showed her what to do.

"Oh... Thank you. These are actually for an assortment of things I draw comics in a different notebook, and some of these are actually for a game I play, but most are just practice." He explained excitement creeping into his voice.

Lila contuined to turn through the pages, fascination in her eyes. " That's awesome! Do you think I can see some of the comics?" She looked up at him, eyes bright.

"Oh, of course! Here they're in this notebook." Jason said as he handed her a large notebook filled page to page with different kinds of comics ranging from action to mystery to comedy, there's an obvious gradually increasing skill as the comics go on.

"Alright so next your going to pull this "lever" and that readies the first shot. You'll need to do that for every bullet. But after than you aim and fire." Darwin said as he demonstrated by shooting at one of the targets.

Lila flipped though the pages of this one after handing his Sketchbook back. " Huh... how long have you been at this?" She asks, stopping to look at some of the comics more closely.

" Mmhmm.." Shelby nods, itching to grab her phone and turn the music back on.

Relin let a satisfied smirk form on her lips when the bullet hit home, burying itself into the center of the target. Cracking her neck, she readied the next bullet and took aim, adjusting her footing.

"Umm... I started drawing at five but didn't start comics 'till I was seven. This is my seventh notebook I have of comics but it's probably the only one I'd even look at. The rest are kinda awful." Jason replied.

"Alright now shoot." Darwin said expectantly as he blocked everything else out.

Shelby took the gun from him, and looked though the aim thingy, looking at the target. She breathed, undid the safety, and shot. It hit a bit outside the center, but was close.

" It's really good.." Lila said, then glanced up at him with laughter in her eyes. " But I'd love to see what you used to draw like."

"Oh... Umm I don't have those with me right now. They're at my house, but there's a block party near there tonight so... I could show you if you come by." Jason said while trying to hide his eagerness to continue talking about the comics.

"Great job Shelby!! Wow! Your great at this! Alright you can go back to your music. Just don't kill someone." Darwin said as he moved his attention to Rilen "If you want I could show you how to use the rifle, now."

"Well I said I would on the way here so... I'll show you what to do. I already showed you how to reload the rifle. So what you do is pull this leaver, to load the bullet. Than aim the rifle and fire." Darwin said

Relin nodded and took the rifle from him, adjusting her footing, pulling the leaver, and aiming. She pulled the trigger between breaths, smirking as it hit dead center.

" Ohh.. ok, well I just might stop by." Lila said, tapping her fingers as though thinking. " Anyway... how long did it take you to do this one? It looks very detail." She asked, motioning to the comic that caught her eye the most.

"Pftt sure, you're just great at this." Darwin laughed as he picked up his own rifle and shot at the 3-D deer target.

"Hmm? Oh this one? This is a comedy/Mystery story, it's a generally short story with only 14 pages front and back. It took me around 3 weeks to plan the plot and design all the characters along with writing their backgrounds and personalitie. But drawing it took another 3 weeks." Jason explained as he repositioned himself onto a better branch.

Lila read the comic, pausing after he finished speaking. " Huh... I didn't know comics took that long to do. More work then I thought is put into it. I'm not really a comic drawer.. I usually just draw animals or such, though I'm not very good." She said, rambling a bit. She went back to reading, pulling her hair to one side to get it out of her face.
