Tulippaw shushed him. "If we didn't have enough, you'd know about it," she mewed a little darkly, voice quiet so it didn't carry to the outside. "It's greenleaf, we'll be fine. But if this continues through leaf-fall, we might be in trouble."

Russetstar frowned, and after a few heartbeats, he licked up the feverfew quickly, gulping it down and wincing from the pain in his throat. He dipped his head to Tulippaw, "Thank you." The leader meowed, before resting his head back on his paws.

Creamkit bounded over to her mother. "Momma, Russetstar sounded sick," she mewed and pressed her nose into her mother's calico pelt.

Willowfeather sighed and leaned down, licking Creamkit's head. "Russetstar will be okay," she purred soothingly.

IC: Grassflight let Gingerpatch lean on her shoulder as she hurried into the medicine den. She spotted Tulippaw in the center of the clearing and quickly padded over to her. "Gingerpatch..." she panted, stopping to take a breath. "She collapsed during training. I think she's sick."

Gingerpatch groaned, clutching her stomach.

Scarletpetal scrunched her nose at the smell of all the sick cats. She hoped she wouldn't get sick, and hoped the same for Nightfrost. She worried for her clanmates, wondering what would happen

Coldfoot sat up, alert. He quickly trotted out of the medicine den and looked at Gingerpatch. "What happened?" he demanded.

Gingerpatch coughed, looking up at Coldfoot. "I-I don't know," she rasped. "I just felt an excruciating pain while we were training, and-" she halted, collapsing again and breathing heavily.

Gingerpatch sneezed. "Mostly in my stomach, and occasionally I feel a stabbing pain in my throat. I wasn't even doing anything, and it made me throw up at the training grounds." she meowed, brushing her tail over her cheek and gasping at how swollen it was.

Scarletpetal, the scent of sickness overwhelming, sneezed a few times. She flattened her ears in shock and quickly ran to the dirt place. There she coughed a few times, but did not feel like most of the others looked like.

Applekit sighed. Can't Russetstar make me an apprentice already? We need more cats hunting, while so many warriors are sick, Applekit thought angrily.

Dustfeather was currently curled around Treekit, her little blind kit whose coat was more russet than her own. Her fluffy tail shielded her daughter from any wind that they experienced as her pink tongue lapped over Treekit's face.

Treekit purred happily, at least her mother loved her so much that it made her forget that she was blind in the first place.

Gingerpatch roused on wobbly legs, leaning on Rainpaw for support as she walked into the medicine den. She wheezed, coughing up some blood onto one of the nests.

Gingerpatch bent down with a groan, licking the leaves and taking a few moments before swallowing. She wheezed again, ears flattened at the taste. "I-I'll be okay, Rainpaw." she meowed, clutching her stomach.

Shiningsplash opened her dull eyes when she felt a sudden rush of pain. She couldn't breathe. She gasped for air slowly. It seemed like forever to her before she finally closed her eyes and gave in to death.

Creamkit bounced over to her mother, rubbing against her legs with a happy purr. Willowfeather simply leaned down and groomed the knots out of her daughter's cream colored fur.

Tulippaw set the moss down, then her ears pricked. Something wasn't quite right. She padded over to the other nests of sick cats, freezing once she reached Shiningsplash. "Oh no," she whispered. "Oh no, please no."

Smokeheart, Dragonmoon, and Graycloud were clustered together, sharing a squirrel. "cats are getting sick. Let's just hope that we don't lose each other." Dragonmoon said. Graycloud shuddered. "I hope the sickness doesn't kill anyone." He said.

Coldfoot sniffed Shiningsplash and sighed. "Don't touch her, we don't know how this spreads." he mewed, "I'll take her out. I'm more resistant to coughs." He grabbed the dead she-cat by the scruff and carefully dragged her out of the medicine den and to a sheltered area of camp.

Tulippaw's heart sank, and she dipped her head as she spoke a silent prayer to SoulClan. We wish her good hunting, swift running, and shelter where she sleeps. She was a good warrior, DuskClan wishes her safety in SoulClan. She shook her fur out then padded over to Gingerpatch, offering the water.

Eveningkit bustled out of the nursery, over-energised by her nap and almost ran into Coldfoot. "S-Sorry!" She squeaked.

Morningkit raced after her sister, barreling into her with a playful growl. Riverleaf watched on with soft, blue eyes. She wrapped her tail around her paws, purring softly.

Skykit grumbled as her mother groomed her, huffing loudly.

Creamkit padded over to her mother, sitting down to be groomed. She purred happily while Skykit glowered. I wonder why she never liked being groomed. Shrugging, Creamkit closed her eyes, trying not to bounce in place. She was so excited!

Talonstep padded into camp alongside the rest of the patrol, watching Oakpaw drop the mice he caught onto the fresh kill pile. Turning to the nursery, the large tom padded over to his mate and kits.

Littleflower licked her lips in satisfaction, admiring her shiny pelt. She turned her attention to the renewed fresh-kill pile and sighed, her limbs stiff. She rose from her spot in the shade and stretched out her legs, letting the sun radiate her pelt as she padded to Russetstar. "Have you received any news about BrightClan yet?" I'm a little worried about them." she meowed, ears flattened.
