FireClan/FrostClan border

A small but noticeable stream which flows from the depths of the mountains right down to the Gathering Island. This was chosen as it was otherwise hard to detect through the trees where FireClan's land stopped and FrostClan's began.

Starrypaw padded out from the bushes and practically fell into the shallow stream, spitting water furiously as she got up and back out on FrostClan's side. She shook her fur out irritably, cursing internally, before looking around for somewhere to hunt.

Shard stalked to the border, seeing the Clan cat ahead and grinned. She stepped to the edge of the treeline, waiting for her patrol.

"Be cautious, this could be a trap." Shard whispered, flattening her ears. "They usually travel in groups."

"Stupid mentors, of course mine was the stinking leader. Know it all star-blessed rabbit dung," Starrypaw muttered under her breath as she walked, scuffing small stones into the stream and neither hearing nor scenting the strange rogues.

Shard flicked her tail at the patrol, signaling for them to hang back, and waded through the river. She slid onto the land near Starrypaw. "Hello." she mewed in a friendly tone.

Kia stayed crouched where she was beside Minkura. She watched the young she-cat closely, waiting for any signals from Shard to attack.

Mochi frowned. I hope he doesn't do the whole job for us or coming here would of been for nothing. She thought as she crouched down with her tail curled around her paws.

Minkura watched Starrypaw, her claws unsheathed. Good for nothing excuse of a Clan cat. We'll be able to snag all of the territories in no time. she thought, chuckling softly.

Hatuh crouch in the shadows, behind the other cats so that her white pelt wasn't seen, at least not as much. She watched Starrypaw closely. She's just a young one.. my age.. maybe younger. That could be me up there, and they plan to tear her apart... I was hoping to meet grown cats so I wouldn't feel like a monster..

"FrostClan land?" Shard mewed, miming confusion as she slowly crept around to block of Starrypaw's path back to FrostClan.

"Test you?" Shard mewed, "Are you alone?" She prepared to signal her group to move out.

Dapplestar trotted towards the border, then smelled rogue scent and broke into a sprint.

Starrypaw snarled, her ears flattened, but knew she was practically shaking in fear. "Leave us alone! You drove FireClan from their home, isn't that enough you greedy pieces of crow food!"

Dapplestar sprinted towards the border, muscles burning as she saw Starrypaw surrounded by rogues.

"Starrypaw!" Dapplestar called, yowling.

Mochi dug her teeth into Starrypaw's hind leg and clawed at her pelt. The tang of blood filled her mouth.

Shard tore her claws across Starrypaw's flank, gripping the young cat so she couldn't escape.

Dapplestar finally reached them and lunged at the rogues, shrieking with fury.

Mochi leaped at Dapplestar and lashed her claws wildly, hoping for a hit. I wonder if this is the clan cat's mom or something. She thought.

Dapplestar snarled and twisted, ranking her claws across Mochi's face.

Shard lunged for Starrypaw's throat, teeth bared.

Starrypaw squeaked, but managed to flash a paw towards Shard's injured face before she felt the teeth closing on her throat.

Mochi wiped blood off her face and spat. She raked her claws against Dapplestar's pelt but halfway through she slipped and tripped over.

Shard hissed in response, claws unsheathed.

Min dashed out from the shadows and launched herself at Starrypaw, claws unsheathed. She knocked the apprentice over and raised a paw, ready to slam it down on her head.

Ic: Starrypaw flashed her claws out, raking them down Min's chest with a hiss of defiance, finally getting her voice back.

IC: Min growled, toppling back but quickly jumping back to her paws and shaking out her fur. She attempted to pin down Starrypaw again, but felt a stream of blood trickling from her chest, and she staggered back.

Kia padded over to stay beside Minkura, and watched Starrypaw, a flash of sympathy shown in her eyes. It's a bit unfair when they're outnumbered like this, but I can't disobey Minkura's orders. Kia reminded herself as she stared at the whimpering apprentice.

Stars swirled in front of her. I need to get up. I need to save Starrypaw.

Dapplestar, whose lifeless body had been left on the earth, regained a heartbeat. Dapplestar surged to her paws, her deathly throat wound gone. She let out a horrifying shriek and charged the rogues.

Shard gave a howl of terror and ran back towards the camp.

IC: Dapplestar slunk to Starrypaw's side, panting. "Are you okay?" she whispered, pressing her head against her apprentice's chest.

Starrypaw winced as she tried to lift her head, a numbness spreading up her body from her toes. "I..." she broke off in a violent cough that spat up blood, her body convulsing.

"Starrypaw, just stay still." Dapplestar whispered, resting next to her young apprentice. "Breath. Just keep breathing.." she looked across the multiple deep wounds on the young cat's pelt, heart aching.
