FireClan/Jungle border

FireClan's northern border is with the jungle, a very damp and very wet area of the mountains which is inaccurately named as it is more of a marshy forest than a jungle.

Hawkstep led Darkcloud here, wincing as he stepped into the damp leaves that littered the ground. He looked back but didn't see her. Ooops... did I go too fast? I forgot about her leg. he thought, internally shivering when he felt a rain droplet fall on his nose, but recoiling to the fact that it was just his imagination.

Darkcloud run/hopped after him. "I'm okay." she purred when seeing his face.

"Do you feel rain coming on? Or was it just me?" he asked, awkwardly shuffling through the vines of the trees to get to a dryer spot.

"Yeah, a bit." Darkcloud mewed, shaking her fur dry and hopping to under a tree.

"I used to come here with Brindlestripe when we were apprentices and best friends. We'd secretly practice our battle moves here because our mentors were kind of harsh." he explained as he swiftly ducked under some crags and came into a dry clearing with sand littered around it to and fro.

"Nice." Darkcloud purred, following him. "I never really had too many friends apart from my sister." she confessed.

"Well, I guess it was just too much with the apprentices going rogue and all that." he sighed, kicking some dust up and grumbling quietly when another rain droplet hit straight in his eye.

"Mmm. You know they were my kits?" Darkcloud mewed. "I think they left because of me. I don't love them much anymore though."

"Nope." Darkcloud mewed, laying down on her side. She would have sat, but her back stubby leg made it hard. "I don't know if they're dead or alive."

Hawkstep shrugged.
"At least the omen was Soraflight's mistake. It's not your fault." he comforted Darkcloud, laying down on his side next to her.

Hawkstep gazed up at the gray clouds covering the pure white ones in the sky.
"Maybe we should get back to camp." he mewed in a monotone voice, getting up and picking the damp sand and leaves and twigs out of his fur.

Hawkstep started calmly padding back to camp, taking his sweet time to stay at Darkcloud's slow pace, when rain began pouring. He yelped and began bolting around, trying to find Darkcloud.
"Where are you?" he called, the rain pattering loudly against the ground.

Darkcloud hopped quickly out of the clearing, quickly running to Hawkstep. "I'm okay." she mewed, already hop/running back to camp, glancing behind her for Hawkstep every so often.

Hawkstep slid towards Darkcloud, thankfully not falling. He didn't want to spend his time at camp washing himself off of leaves and wet twigs. He quickly trotted back to camp, hoping Darkcloud was still beside him.

Maple stumbled over a root that stuck out of the ground and groaned in frustration. She got up and shook her pelt from the dirt, hoping Deer didn't see her embarrassing fall.

Deer leaped onto the rock, looking around. "Mom, where's Darkcloud? You said we were gonna meet her here!" she asked, her head tilted.

Eve purred, shaking her head. "She said maybe, and anyway give her some time." she purred, eyes comforting.

Maple glanced back at Deer, letting out a sigh of relief as she noticed Deer hadn't seen her fall. "Let's see whoever catches prey first and gives it to Darkcloud first, is the best hunter!" Maple purred, opening her jaws quickly to scent her surroundings.

Darkcloud came here, only to hear Maple say that, and crouched down, hidden, whilst she waited for them to finish hunting.

Deer nodded slightly. I suck at hunting... but I bet I could beat Maple in a fight! she thought to herself, then shrugging and scenting the air carefully.

Maple caught the scent of a vole and quickly got into her hunting position that Eve had to taught the two sisters. She started to stalk until a loud noise from behind her suddenly scared the prey. "Mouse-dung! Who did it?! DEER?!" Maple yowled in annoyance. She turned around and widened her eyes, "Uhm, Eve, who is this?" She asked, flattening her ears.

Sandstone had caught up and not heard what the cats were doing and why Darkcloud hid, but felt quit ashamed now. "Oh sorry, I didn't notice you were hunting." He apoligized, "I'm Sandstone, um, Darkcloud's mate." He explained awkwardly.

Darkcloud snorted, purring as she slid out the bush. "Hi, Eve." she purred, then going to Deer and Maple and licking their foreheads. "You're so grown up!"

"Eww!" She exclaimed, inching away from the lick and squinting at the cat suspiciously. "OH HI!" She exclaimed, noticing it was Darkcloud after all.

Sandstone chuckled in amusement, "How old are they?" He asked, thinking they must be the same age as Firepool, but Maple acted much more immature.

omg now I've had a scene where Maple and Deer sneak away to see the battle on BrightClan beach, only to see Darkcloud and Sandstone dead and Firepool, Frostflame, Sunstep and Sootstep over them and Dawnmist next to Darky and Sandy o.o
