Bluesnow watched Larkpaw carefully, checking for any incorrect moves. I wish I had an apprentice! Perhaps when they're old enough, one of the current kits will be apprenticed to me! Bluesnow thought pleadingly, lifting his head to the sky.

Larkpaw ducked under a branch, her eyes still on the squirrel. She crouched down lower, then sprang, missing the squirrel just barely but not giving up. She ran after it, climbing up the tree clumsily and grabbing the squirrel in her teeth, she bit down killing it then jumped down from the tree, padding to the warriors with pride.

"Nice job, Larkpaw. But one thing. I'm am going to teach you about distance. When you pounced, you were just a mouse-length short. A reasonable distance to jump is about a fox-length and a half," Bluesnow commented.

"Hmmph, I guess so," Bluesnow mewed. He hated climbing and wasn't very good at it either.

Bluesnow stood proudly on top of the stack, dislodging a piece of wood with his paw, which tumbled down the pile toward Willowdapple.

Willowdapple leaped onto it as it fell, pushing it down further. She leaped up and up, until she was at the top, and spun around, kicking Bluesnow off with her back paws. "Ha!"

Bluesnow latched onto a piece of wood and pulled himself back up, starting to get frustrated. He hesitated for a moment, not sure what to do. His gaze softened and he started to circle her.

Willowdapple unsteadily got to her paws, not noticing her side bleeding heavily from a larger scratch on the wood. She scrabbled up again, using her back legs to leap up and over to Bluesnow. She reared up and pushed him off, wincing as she dropped back onto 4 paws.

Bluesnow landed awkwardly on his back, but rolled onto his side and got up, peering up at Willowdapple, eyes sparkling with worry. "Willowdapple, you're hurt! We need to get back to camp before it gets worse!" He staggered up the pile, supporting Willowdapple with his shoulder and helped her down the stack.

Cloverlily trotted into the clearing, thick leaves crackling underneath her.

"Alright, just pick up whatever you find, but it looks like a storm, so we'll leave soon." she flicked her tail shyly, sending the patrollers off and opening her jaws wide for scents, although secretly she was building hope that Marshfeather was there.

Thornsplash lead her patrol here and turned around, waiting for the rest. First thing she saw was Bluesnow's annoying face and immediately whipped her gaze back to the front of her in frustration.

Bluesnow snickered under his breath as Thornsplash paused directly in front of his bush ~~coincidentally~~. He leaned back on his haunches and leaped, branches scraping his spine as he slipped out of the bush, and bowled Thornsplash over, pinning her to the ground, claws sheathed.

Thornsplash let out a shocked screech and unsheathed claws, holding them at Bluesnow's throat. She hissed, "You know, I would kill you if you were a rogue, but I'd still do it now. " She snarled, pushing him off and getting up, quickly brushing off the moss that clung to her fur.

Nightheart followed Thornsplash, waiting for the rest of the patrol as well. Since she was pretty close to the front, she had heard Bluesnow pin Thornsplash down. She rolled her eyes at Bluesnow, figuring it was probably annoying for Thornsplash. Oh, Bluesnow, I feel like you act like a rogue..

Thronsplash blinked in surprise, but flattened her ears the more she thought of it, "Talk to me about what?" She almost hissed, sitting back on her haunches and watching Bluesnow carefully. "About my sister? Your new kits that are trouble because of you?" She snarled.
