"Oh! Help!" Brindlestripe gasped in mock fear. "I'll give the kit back! Just let me go!" She jumped back on powerful legs.

Larkkit pouted, listening to Sunkit and Sootkit play with the older warrior while she was placed in the nursery.
"Ugh! I wish I could live my life for one second without some scolding me or telling me what to do!" she got out of the nest, clearly ignoring Brindlestripe's request, and stomped into the leaders den as she continued to search.

Soraflight watched the kit storm right back in and started laughing. Well that lasted a while.

Brindlestripe paused and looked worriedly in Larkkit's direction. She padded over to Soraflight. "Where's Whitestar?" She mewed, flicking her tail.

Soraflight shrugged. "I'm not sure..." she mewed, "I doubt he minds much though, they're just curious kits."

"Right, but still, once their done, I'll fix the den," she mewed. "But now, I'm gonna go play too!" Brindlestripe said playfully. She bounced, full of energy that was held in for so long. Brindlestripe raced up and stopped at the leader's den, grinning.

Brindlestripe purred at the kits, then asked, "Can I help you find it?" Brindlestripe spoke in a small squeak. She was surprised at her attitude changing so quickly.

Larkkit didn't want to say no, so she simply ignored Brindlestripe and began carefully lifting some decorative leaves and branches that surrounded Whitestar's nest, searching frantically.

Brindlestripe padded over, and lifted the nest up completely, spotting a pretty teal stone.

Larkkit stared in awe at the stone. She bounded over, nose twitching.
"Ooooh, can I see it?" she cooed.

Brindlestripe placed the nest carefully on the ground. "Isnt that cool? Wow!" She uttered, her eye wide.

Melodykit finished sorting some herbs before the medicine cats eventually kicked her out. She sighed and padded to the leaders den, hearing the commotion inside.
What's going on? she thought curiously, but she was too nervous to go in.
Larkkit smiled. She had never seen anything like it. She picked it up and tossed it from paw to paw.
"This is amazing!" she mewled, clearly in awe.

Lightningfang sat in camp a bit annoyed by the wreck the kits caused. "Kits these days, no respect." she hissed under her breath, as her tail twitched.

Soraflight wanted to go over and look at the stone, but didn't want to look immature, so she sat awkwardly in the snow.

Melodykit spotted Soraflight outside of the den as well. She hopped over, excited.
"What's going on? Do you want to see it? Maybe you could use it to decorate your den!" the small white and black kit bounded in excitement.

Brindlestripe quickly made the den look like nothing strange happened, and then look at the rock. "Woah!" She mewed, sounding like a newborn kit.

Brindlestripe glanced at Melodykit and Soraflight. She smiled at the enthusiasm that was coursing through the warm, happy den.

"Is it Whitestar's?" Melodykit asked gently.
Larkkit gaped at the beautiful teal color, changing to an elegant blue-green as she turned it around.
"Maybe he'll let us use it to decorate another den!" she exclaimed.

"I think so! Maybe it's a rock that he sleeps with and can't sleep without it!" Brindlestripe giggled at her own idea. The rock had a strange glint to it, but Brindlestripe dismissed it.

"Well, I'm proabably about 5 moons now. I'm sure Whitestar wouldn't mind. I mean, Mossblaze would always take me to this little pool as a small adopted kitten; it was right by the camp." Larkkit's eyes got watery as she remembered her adopted mother.

Brindlestripe returned with a jawful of colorful rocks. "Look at these!" She yowled, then repeated quieter, to not wake up the other cats, "I found these in the meadow!"

"Oooh!" Larkkit purred, picking out the rock with her mothers favorite color: blue.
It had been washed by water for so many moons that it had eventually developed a blueish-gray shade, and she quickly brought it and scooted her mothers nest closer to hers and buried it, both nests guarding it safely.
Melodykit took another teal one and clutched it safely against her side.
"It's beautiful!" she exclaimed, running her nose along it and purring.

Brindlestripe dashed out, returning with the rest from the meadow. She smiled and picked up a shiny, glossy bright green color, and brought it to her nest.

Darkcloud poked her head out the warriors den and went over to the cats and the stones. "What's this?" She asked, curious.

Lilystripes had followed Brindlestripe, and brought back some more. She laid them down. "They're SO awesome!" She squealed.

Larkkit picked out one of the pebbles that had a similar glow as the one for her mother, although it looked more purple for some reason. She hurried into the nursery again with a smile and laid it out next to the blue one, covering them both with her and her mothers nests.
Melodykit, hoping there would still be more, rushed as quickly as she could into the nursery, almost bumping into Larkkit as she entered, and set her teal one down in her bowl shaped nest, praying that no one would steal it.

Darkcloud took a shimmering cyan one, and a darker blue one, and brought them both to her and Cinderpelt's nests. She hid them underneath so nobody would steal them, then padded gently out again.

Hawkstep, finishing cleaning off the prey, approached the leaders den. He hoped all these cats weren't gathered to annoy and bother Whitestar. When he entered, pushing past all the others, he noticed the glimmering stones. He looked at them in awe. Politely, he asked for one.
"Could I take one or two? I'll take a few for Wrensong, Lavenderpaw, Honeypaw, Shadefeather, and Cinderlight as well." he meowed, clearly purposely forgetting about his other siblings.

"Yeah! You can!" Brindlestripe wanted everyone to take some. She picked up a red shiny rock and an amber, green, and brownish red rock. She put the three in her nest. She smiled and positioned then carefully.

Hawkstep carefully looked through the pile of rocks - there were tons, probably - and picked out a smoky brown-black rock. He tossed it from paw to paw and clutched it against his chest as he rummaged through the pile and picked out some more for his family.

Hawkstep picked out a beautiful cyan and violet rock for Lavenderpaw and a yellow-amber one for Honeypaw. He padded out of the leaders den and placed them carefully in their nests, hoping they'd by surprised when they came back from their hunts and saw them. He swerved the corner to his den and buried it under his nest; he didn't want anyone to steal it.

Hawkstep quickly returned in the leaders den, picking out a teal one for Shadefeather and a cinder-gray one for Cinderlight. He gently placed them on their nests and hurried back in, shooting a glance at Brindlestripe.
"Yes?" he asked, wondering why she was looking at him like that.

Hawkstep shrugged a shoulder and exited the den. He padded into the warriors den and circled his nest, watching his rock, before he picked it up in his jaws and settled down, relaxed. He clutched his rock tightly against his muscular chest and snored peacefully.

Brindlestripe went into the warrior's den. She stopped at Hawkstep's nest and purred, then went to her nest. She fell asleep quickly, sleeping a sleep full of dreams of her and Hawkstep.

Hawkstep let out a jagged purr when he felt Brindlestripe's fur brush against his, and he fell to a deep slumber, dreaming about himself defeating FrostClan and BrightClan, side by side with Brindlestripe.
