OOC I guess that's Smokepaw is a warrior now?

IC: Smokeheart was sitting vigil. It had been a freezing night filled with snow. Now he felt as if he had turned into a living icicle. He coughed a bit. Already I have a cold???

Ooc: I guess honeypaw is too. 

Honeyflight pricked her ears from where she was sitting vigil next to "If that gets any worse you might want to see a medicine cat." She whispered.

Smokeheart leaned towards her. "Shhh. Our vigil isn't over yet." He whispered, followed by another fit of coughing

" and yet, you just talked back." Honeyflight joked, purring softly before straighting back up and watching the entrance.

"You started it!" Smokeheart retorted. Though his voice was bitter, there was some playfulness to it.

Stormpoppy stretched as she walked out of the den, frowning at the snow for a few seconds, then walking over to the two new warriors. "Good night?" she purred softly.

Honeyflight, not hearing the playfulness, flattened her ears with hurt. She snorted and scooted away a bit. Be a bitter mousebrain, see if I care She thought. She then looked at the warrior. " yes, great, but freezeing."

"A c-cold night." Smokeheart said. He stood up and shook his fur. He coughed and tried to hide it by shuffling his paws.

Stormpoppy nodded. "Go and see the medicine cats to make sure you're not sick. I'll talk to the deputies." She purred happily.

"Alright. Thank you Stormpoppy." Smokeheart said with a curt nod. He padded over to the medicine den like Stormpoppy had said. "Anyone here?" He whispered

Silvermoon curled her tail neatly over her paws, ignoring the two other warriors that had broken the silence of the vigil. She just stared ahead, out the camp entrance, with a blank look in her eyes.

Hollyshade pricked her ears and stumbled up to Smokeheart. "What's wrong?" she inquired, worry edging her voice.

"S-Stormpoppy told me to come." Smokeheart said, coughing. "S-She thinks I have a c-cold." He shivered.

Hollyshade curled her lip, revealing crooked white teeth. "Russetstar shouldn't have made you sit vigil in this weather," she growled, leading Smokeheart deeper into her den. "Settle down here and just warm up. I'll try and find something for you if it gets worse."

"Alright." He said. He found a nice spot to lay down. He lay down. It wouldn't hurt to close my eyes for a moment. Would it? Smokeheart thought. But soon, he couldn't stay awake for any longer and her drifted off to sleep

Hollyshade chewed up a few lavender stems and carried them over to Smokeheart. "Here, this should help soothe your chills." she instructed.

Smokeheart woke with Hollyshade telling him to eat some herbs. "O-Okay." He said, lapping up the stems.
The taste was quite bitter but he didn't complain.

OOC: oml, sorry I was being inactive again ahh. Everyone who needed a warrior ceremony is now a warrior, let's just pretend that happened.

Russetstar slipped into the medicine cat's den and dipped his head in greetings, "Hello, how did the vigil go?" He asked, shaking his paws to get the snow off.

"It was cold." Smokeheart said, dipping his head towards the leader. "But it's a thing every warrior must do." He added followed by some weak coughing

Hollyshade dipped her head to Russetstar as he entered. She bottled up thoughts of scolding him for letting the new warriors stay out in the cold all night and turned away, dipping some moss in the pool of water by the rotten herb stock. "Here, Smokeheart, drink this." she instructed softly, dropping the moss at his paws.

Smokeheart first just stared at the moss as if he didn't know what is was. Then he bent his head and lapped at the moss. It was cold, chilled by the wind, but it quenched his thirst

Applekit yawned as she woke up, the cool wind blowing through the entrance making her shiver and move closer to her mother. Hawkkit continued to snore.

Riverswoop stretched and yawned widely, getting up and walking straight into a pile of snow outside the den.

Puddlekit had her fur pressed up against Hawkkit's, and she purred quietly as she slept.

Meadowsong brushed her tail over all three of her kits, taking in their comforting, milky scent. She got up slowly, careful not to wake them, and padded into the camp clearing to get a small snack.

Honeyflight sneezed loudly, almost topling over. She shook her head and walked over to the prey pile, grabbing a mouse and gulping it down before heading to the Warriors den after a slight cough. She colplased into her nest, hoping the deputy's would exclude her from duties.

Russetstar nodded, "You two should get some rest, you can be off your duties today and tomorrow." He meowed, feeling a slight guiltiness for letting them stay in the first snow.

"Thank you Russetstar." Smokeheart said, dipping his head towards his leader. He sighed and shifted in the nest, trying to get warmer

OOC: @Skybreeze Seakit and Tealkit need apprentice ceremonies. Like, soon. XD

Seakit looked up at her father, who was shaking water of moss bedding for himself. She narrowed her eyes. The day before, Seakit and Tealkit were both six moons, but their ceremonies couldn't happen because of the fuss with the gathering.

Tealkit paced the nursery, rolling his eyes coldly. He didn't wan his apprentice ceremony held off any longer than one day, but the gathering had put it off. He sat down in his nest, looking ou into the dawn sky.

Thornfur shook the moss again, before pacing into camp and into the warrior's den. He took out his old bedding, and placed the new one in carefully.

Bluefeather was still asleep in the nursery, curling around Larkkit.

Larkkit squirmed near his mothers paws.

Ooc: @Jackthereaper since a ceremony just went on, you can poof them into apprentices. 

Ic: Riverswoop picked his way over to the freshkill pile and frowned, wondering if he should ask to take out a hunting patrol.

OOC: *Poofs Seapaw and Tealpaw into apprentices*

Seapaw fixed her nest in the apprentices den, sighing.

Tealpaw ate a mouse just in front of the apprentices den.

OOC: *goes to mentors topic*

Mistystorm popped her head into the apprentice den. " Seapaw!" She called across the den to her apprentice. " I'm showing you the territory."

Seapaw looked up at her new mentor. "Uh, okay." she dropped the moss and quickly padded up to Mistystorm with a smile. "Where to first?"

Tealpaw snorted, watching hs sister leave with Mistystorm. Where WAS Dragonmoon?

Dragonmoon woke with a start. Fox-Dung! I'm late to train Tealpaw! he thought. He jumped up and trotted to the apprentice den. "Tealpaw?" He asked

Tealpaw looked up, and rolled his eyes. "Sheesh. I've been waiting all dawn now." he said with a hint of amusement to his tone. He stood, licking his lips and pushing aside the bones of the mouse he had eaten. "Where do we start, mentor?"

Mistystorm walked out of the den, hoping Seapaw was at her paws. " Hey, Dragonmoon." She meowed, walking to him. " if you want, we can take Tealpaw and Seapaw to see the territory together." She suggested.

Seapaw fell into line beside her mentor.

Tealpaw loooked at Mistystorm with a cold expression.

Dragonmoon glared down at his apprentice. Then he turned to Mistystorm.
"Maybe after he learns some respect to the older cats."
He growled l

Tealpaw growled. "I'll show respect when you stop acting like a kit younger than me, mouse-brain." he hissed, whipping aroung to his sister.

Seapaw looked up at her mentor.

Dragonmoon smirked. "Well, if you think that you are more mature then I am, you can spend the morning tending to the elders." He said

Tealpaw growled. "Ush! Why did Russetstar have to pair me up with a mousebrain!" he hissed, sotrming away and slipped out of the entrance.

Seapaw's eyes widened. "Wait, Tealpaw! We're not allowed outside your mangy furball!" she ran after her brother, out of the entrance.

Mistystorm looked at Dragonmoon with sympathy. " I'm sorry that you had to get a brat." She joked. " We should probably get them." She added to herself and ran after the apprentices.

Dragonmoon nodded and ran after Mistystorm. The cold wind slapped him in the face as if to say: You are such a bad mentor Dragonmoon.

Hawkkit snuggled closer to Puddlekit and continued to snooze. 
Applekit huffed and got to her paws a little shakily, trotting out of the den and following her mother's scent. She gasped when she got to the den entrance, poking the snow with a tiny paw.

Russetstar nodded and slipped out the medicine cat's den, chuckling to himself in amusement as he watched Dragonmoon race after his apprentice. They both have a lot to learn. He thought, glancing around for Littleflower and Mistyheart.

Meadowsong trotted back inside the nursery with a plump vole dangling from her jaws. She gasped when she saw Applekit at the entrance. "Applekit! Get back inside, it's freezing out here!" she scolded, wrapping her tail around her kit and rushing her back into her nest.

Puddlekit woke at the sudden commotion and prodded Hawkkit up with a paw.

Hawkkit groaned. "Lemme sleep." 
Applekit giggled. "Snow, Mama!"

Puddlekit let out a high-pitched growl. "There's snow!" she bared her teeth and leaped onto Hawkkit, kneading her paws into his soft fur.

Meadowsong purred, rasping her tongue over Applekit's ear. "Yes, yes, it's snowing. You'll get to play later, get your sleep." she meowed gently, stroking her kit with her tail.

Blueshine stepped out of the elder's den, gently sniffing the air and flinching as she stepped into the damp snow. The snow made her long for the days of exploring the plains and climbing rocky outcrops.

Stormpoppy glanced up, then padded over to Blueshine. "Hello," she purred softly. "How are you feeling?"

"Stiff." she scoffed, "Leaf-bare is bad for my old bones."

Amberpaw sighed as he woke up in his best in the apprentices den the next morning. He was sad that he had less denmates than before since some of them had received their warrior name, but that didn't mean he wasn't proud and happy for them. He sneezed for what seemed like the ninth or tenth time since the others had gotten home from the gathering the night before as he walked out of the den. Despite the snow on the ground he wanted to see if his mentor would take him on a quick hunting session.
