Mothpaw backed off, flicking her tail. "I'm not being disrespectful, just giving out suggestions. We do need prey and many cats are incapacitated." she meowed in the nervous voice.

Basspaw shook his head slightly and frowned. He nodded to Mothpaw in thanks although the suggestion had been un-equivliant. ``We could take a warrior if they'd be willing.`` He added quietly.

"No apprentices are to leave the camp until dawn, and that is final!" Ivorystar bared her teeth. "If I find you have left, with a warrior or without, you do not want to know what the consequences will be."

Musicpaw walked away and looked around. When Ivorystar was busy, she turned to Mothpaw and the others. "Guys, we have to do something. Im bored, lets sneak out."

Mothpaw sharply nudged him. "Okay, okay. Won't hunt now." she laughed, her expression barely hidden terror.

" Are you sure that's a good idea? She had a point. " Basspaw whispered, glancing at his sister again, looking at her for acknowledgment. " What if we got kidnapped? " He glanced back to where Ivorystar was, flicking his tail quickly.

" Ivorystar will be keeping a eye on us after we just said that to her, I don't really want to risk it. " He agreed with Mothpaw, thinking it as a stupid idea. " I don't want to have you get in trouble Musicpaw.`` He added softly.

Mothpaw watched them go, then looked back to Musicpaw. "Listen, I was trying to save your hide earlier." she stated. "But you're being frustratingly stubborn and determined to disobey our leader! I was only offering to go with you in the first place to get you out of trouble, I'm exhausted from fighting and would much prefer to rest. I will tell Ivorystar if you leave camp."

Musicpaw looked at her Brother and Birdpaw. "Stay here. Dont get in trouble, please." She said. When Ivorystar was busy, she ran and took off out the space in the wall from when Mistpaw snuck out.

Basspaw looked after his sister, shaking his head. " Why is she such a mousebrain sometimes...She'll get herself killed." He sighed, padding a few steps to the entrance then back again. He was unsure if he should follow her. Deciding it was his duty to make sure his sister was safe, he rushed after her.

Ivypaw snorted at his words, looking up from where she sat cleaning herself in her nest. " And toms think they are better then everyone, but they aren't." She responded sharply.

Ivypaw rolled her eyes, flicking her tail. " One. Your feelings get hurt too easily." She paused, flicking her ear with suspense. " Two. I might as well not be! She hasn't even spoken to me since the apprenticeship, my other denmates are actually doing something and my mentor has to be the stupid leader and busy all the time with her leader dutys!"

Tornadopaw picked out a plump starling from the fresh-kill pile and sat down in an area of camp covered by shade. He kept his eyes on the elders den and sighed. Hmph, I remember the elders complaining about a hole in the den a couple days ago. he thought, finishing his meal and licking his lips. He padded around the den and took some moss from unused nests outside of the warriors den. He returned and quickly patched up the hole. "Great SoulClan, this is so easy I'm sure one of the younger elders could do it themselves." he muttered to himself, peering inside the den to see if the elders were still inside. As he stepped out he pricked himself on a thorn and let out a yelp. Tornadopaw growled, sitting down and licking his paw pad angrily.

"As far as I'm concerned, your apprentice is your responsibility. If she doesn't listen to you, that is your problem, and should not put the Clan in danger. She went out into the territory when I explicitly told her not to, and it is obvious that she has not learned proper discipline yet." Ivorystar turned to the apprentice. "You are relieved from your duties for a quarter moon. You sleep in the nursery, and are not allowed to train or hunt for yourself. You eat like a warrior, though, and do not take anything before making sure the elders are fed and comfortable first. Is that clear?"

Ivorystar almost jumped out of her skin, turning to the medicine apprentice. "Hi, Mistpaw. Shouldn't you be resting?" she asked, suddenly concerned for the poor cat who had lost her mentor.
