BrightClan Camp

Glaciershard's ears pricked when he heard his name and walked over. He stood tall and dipped his head slightly to Ivorystar.

Iceclaw padded over, licking the top of Hollowpaw's head when he gave a worried look. She purred soothingly to her son and stopped next to Ivorystar.

Scorpionbite padded over to the medicine den, tail lashing impatiently.

Lynxcloud nodded and followed Ivorystar out of camp.

Gingerkit and Firekit sat beside their mother, watching the patrol with wide eyes. Hesitantly, Gingerkit padded over and nudged Ivorystar's leg. "Please be careful," she mewed, ducking her head. 

Snowwing padded forward, picking up Gingerkit and nodding to her leader before going back to her son.

Squirrelkit stumbled over the nests, making her way over to where Cherrywind, her mother lay. She prodded her napping littermates, trying to shake them awake. "Flickerkit! Flickerkit!" She whispered, her fur bristling with excitement.

Rowanpool padded into camp with his tail and head held high, scars on his chest still healing the last small amount. He padded over to Snowwing, sitting down by his littermate and watching her kits play. "What happened while I was gone?" 

"Some cats died. Sparrowsong and Mintpaw to be specific," Snowwing whispered, grief making her slump.

Jasperheart followed after Ivorystar, limbs still aching.

Cherrywind herded her kits back into the nursery, worried for them. Flickerkit squeaked in annoyance, but did as he was told.

Ryekit poked her head out, eyes wide. "More cats died?" she whispered.

Rabbitnose gasped, ears standing up. "Wh-what happened? Was it the rogues?" he yowled.

Oceanspark brushed her tail over Rabbitnose's shoulder. "It's okay, Rabbitnose," she meowed, whiskers twitching. "Ivorystar is taking a patrol. Don't worry, those rogues will pay." her expression darkened, and she looked away from her mate.

Hollowpaw and Rubblepaw were sat talking to each other, the kinder of the two trying to convince Rubblepaw to lose his attitude. "What attitude? I've no clue what you're talking about," Rubblepaw scoffed and got to his paws, padding away. 

Hollowpaw simply rolled his eyes, resting his head on his paws with a huff.

Galeheart padded over to Hollowpaw. "Good morning, Hollowpaw. Are you doing okay?" he meowed, frowning as he saw the patrol leave camp.

Hollowpaw glanced up and nodded. "Rubblepaw is just being a mousebrain like always," he mewed bitterly. "I get so sick of his attitude towards other cats."

Rowanpool flicked his ear when he heard the apprentice and let out a laugh. "He's just learned not to take any foxdung from any cat. Be proud of him," the warrior purred.

Galeheart stiffened as Rowanpool walked over, and he bit his tongue. I think the mousebrain is Rowanpool. he thought, before turning back to Hollowpaw. "Oh, well, what are you going to do? That's how he is." he lied.

Hollowpaw bit back a growl towards Rowanpool, narrowing his amber eyes. "Maybe," he meowed and got up, walking away with his mentor. "Can we go train?" He asked.

Wavepaw padded back into camp holding his rabbit happily, but soon sobered as he realised the tension. He set the prey down then looked over at the warriors. "What...?" he gulped, scenting a trace of blood.

Aspenflake looked over at the apprentice and her heart ached for the cats who would soon find out about the losses. She got to her paws and padded out of camp, having planned to meet up with Crone. She missed her mate deeply, and she hated how he refused to join a clan despite all her efforts to get him too. Stupid toms, they never listen to the voice of reason, she thought bitterly and broke out into a dead sprint.

Snowwing and Rowanpool watched their sister leave with mild curiosity, though Rowanpool was fairly sure he knew where she was headed. To meet up with her scum of a mate. With a flick of his tail, he got to his paws and followed her out. Maybe this'll get Ivorystar to trust me a bit more. A cruel smirk formed on the tom's face as the plan developed in his head. Sissy's little mate won't live to see the next leafbare.

Petrelflight padded into camp, her heart dropping at the solemn mood of the camp. "Wh-what happened?" she muttered.
Riptidepaw followed Wavepaw anxiously.

Skybreeze gazed at the confused cats, as well as the shocked ones who already heard the news. She flattened her ears in shame, feeling as if the cats' deaths were her fault.

"Skybreeze, what happened?" Petrelflight mewed, ears flat and eyes wide.

Sagekit woke up from the commotion outside, padding out of the nursery to look. She saw many warriors and apprentices outside in a few groups. "What is going on?" Sagekit mewed to a nearby warrior, which happened to be Petrelflight.

Firekit held his sister back with his tail, narrowing his eyes at the small ginger and white shecat. She returned his glare with a pout and bounded over to Snowwing. He simply rolled his eyes and padded out after Sagekit. "Mintpaw and Sparrowsong were killed by rogues," he meowed blandly, having not known the two cats very well. He didn't care as much as most of the clan, but the loss of two clanmates still hit him hard.

"Oh no. I'll pray to Soulclan later tonight." Sagekit mewed half to Firekit and half to herself. She wondered more though who her mentor would be.

Petrelflight shut her eyes at the news, grief flooding her senses. Why must we be plagued by death?

Firekit flicked his tail as he observed the reactions of his two clanmates. Quickly growing bored, he got to his paws and went to join his mother and sister. 

Gingerkit turned her nose up at her brother, sticking her tongue out at him.

Sagekit, feeling saddened by the deaths of her clanmates, went back to the nursery and laid down where her brother still was. She did not fall asleep, just laid there silently as not to disturb her brother. 

Snowpuddle, was away from the group of huddled cats, who were grieving for their clanmates. She was indeed saddened by the news, but did not know both cats very well. She looked around for her brother, Copperblaze, wondering where he was.

Copperblaze avoided the group of cats, spotting Snowpuddle. He quickly bounced padded over to her. "These rogues.. " He began, a growl forming in his throat.

Gingersplash sighed sadly as he heard the news. Seeing Snowpuddle made him feel better, padding over to ask her a question.

Snowpuddle, upset as well and feeling her brother's anger, lashed her tail and growled as well. "Yes, they are very annoying and have no business with us nor to be on our lands." she hissed. She suddenly sensed Gingersplash nearby, his scent filling her nose. "Hi, Gingersplash." She purred, in a happier mood and more somewhat cheerful.

Copperblaze saw Snowpuddle happy with Gingersplash, so he smiled and padded away, going back into the warriors den to relax.

Gingersplash purred, "hey Snowpuddle... Want to go hunt? I want to get my mind off this..." He meowed, his ears flattening. He pressed his flank against hers. "I don't want you to be sad about this.." He whispered.

"Sure, i want to get my mind off of it as well. I don't care where we go to hunt, but we have to be careful because of those rogues." Snowpuddle whispered to Gingersplash, grateful for his warmth and comfort.

"Lets get going." He meowed, his tail flicking as he bounced out of camp.

Snowpuddle finally arrived back in camp, the mother rabbit on her back weighing her down a bit. She was panting a bit heavily by the time she reached the fresh kill pile, leaning to one side to dump the mother off her back and then placing the two babies beside it. She was still panting and went to find a shady spot to try and cool off.

Gingersplash followed after her, the three dead rabbit babies he was carrying made his jaw ache. He got to the prey pile and dropped them off, following Snowpuddle. He decided just to go into the warrior den, and lay down.

Snowpuddle, watching him go inside the warrior den, decided to follow, knowing it would be a lot cooler in there than outside. She found her nest, wondering if she should drag it next to his, but decided not to. She was quite tired from hauling the rabbits back to camp, quickly laying down and dozing off.... Almost as soon as she closed her eyes, she began dreaming of being back on the sand dunes of the western territory, and she followed a leaf floating on the wind. She saw it go into a tunnel, which appeared to be more like a hole, and she went in after it. She did not feel scared until she smelled several rabbits inside the hole. Her eyes widened with shock and fear, and suddenly heard thundering footsteps. The rabbits were running towards her, their eyes glowing red and claws long. She tried turning back but her vision went completely black and all she felt were claws on her pelt and feet stomping over her. It seemed so real that she was moving and clawing outside her sleep, her nest becoming torn and small pieces going onto the floor.

Ivorystar led the defence patrol back into the camp, her tail fluffed with anxiety, and leaped on to the Startree with more purpose than she'd felt in a while. "Let all cats old enough to run the moors join beneath the Startree for a Clan meeting!"

Iceclaw sat beneath the tree alongside her sons.

The rest of my cats join.

My cats gather.

Featherpaw bounced over happily but tripped on someone's tail. "Ow!" She said as she hit the ground.

The rest of my cats gather.

Wavepaw chuckled and helped Featherpaw up. "A little stumbly?" he purred to his younger denmate.

Sagekit gathers near the back of the crowd, and Snowpuddle; having awoken from her nightmare still shaking, stayed near the entrance of the warrior's den

"I guess.... how embarrassing!" Featherpaw muttered as she got up. She shook a few pebbles out of her fur.

"It's all right. The battle tired all of us out." Wavepaw nodded calmly, then sat down beside Riptidepaw with his tail tucked neatly over his paws.

Ivorystar watched the Clan gather, glancing at the medicine den and making a note to check on Hazelflight.

Hazelflight slunk out of the medicine den, head low. Is she hoping to boost morale.

OOC: Um I forgot where some of my cats were here, recap? Or are all the patrols back at camp

Galeheart gathered in the front of the crowd, looking up at Ivorystar. I hope the patrol went well... everybody that went is back. he thought, curling his tail around his paws.
Sparrowpaw bounded over beside Wavepaw and Featherpaw, purring. "Do you think this is our warrior ceremony?" she mewed excitedly.

Riptidepaw flashed a smile to Spawworpaw then shushed her by swishing his tail into the she-cat's face.

Featherpaw smiled and mouthed 'I hope' to Sparrowpaw. She sat and turned her attention towards Ivorystar.

Dawnkit tried to act as calm as possible, seating herself down amongst her assembled clanmates. Her paws pricked with excitement, her ginger and white tabby fur puffed out.

Snowpuddle eventually decided to venture out further from the den, the haunting image and feeling of her nightmre gone now and replaced with pride for her clanmates. She looked around for her brother, Copperblaze, and also for Gingersplash too.

Gingersplash padded over to all the other cats, sitting down and waiting for Ivorystar to talk.

Copperblaze spotted his sister, shot her a look, then sat down next to Gingersplash.
