Lightheart looked up in surprise.

Aspenflake relaxed and pushed forward to sit by the apprentice, tactfully blocking Lightheart's view of him. She looked to Cherrywind, gesturing with her tail for the shecat to come over.

Lightheart narrowed his blue eyes at Aspenflake. What was her problem? 

Whitefluff glared at Lightheart and picked Flurrykit up. “You were supossed to be in the nursery, Flurrykit.” She said through kit fur and walked back to the nursery.

Eaglepaw tossed his head to the side. “I’m drowning.” He muttered without realizing it.

Lightheart winced. It was his fault, but he would never admit it.
He tried to look over Aspenflake.

Seabreeze flicked her tail to Aspenflake. " let him see, it's his apprentice." She said absently, running her paw along the apprentices chest. " No your not your fine now." She murmured to him, pressing a ear softly to his chest once more to listen for fluid inside of his lungs.

Lightheart wanted to thank her but decided just to keep quiet.

Eaglepaw closed his blurry eyes again and dozed off, being extremely tired from his struggles in the ocean. He couldn’t get rid of the thought, the dark, cold, salty water all around him.

"No. It's his fault this happened," Aspenflake snapped and placed her tail over Eaglepaw. "I refuse to let him see the apprentice he nearly got killed."

Lightheart hissed. "Since when do you decide what I can and can't do?" He said with anger.

"Since you nearly got one of my friend's kits killed," Aspenflake hissed back as Rowanpool padded out from the warrior's den. "I highly doubt Cherrywind wants you anywhere near Eaglepaw anyways. If she tells me to let you see, I will, but not until then," she stated, casting a harsh glare at him.

Lightheart glared at her. "If it wasn't for me, then he would be dead!!"  He growled harshly.

"If you had been watching him, this wouldn't have happened!" Aspenflake shouted and whirled, claws unsheathed.

Cherrywind snapped out of her shock and growled at the pair. "Hey! Stop arguing. Eaglepaw's alive and that's all that matters, so knock it off."

Lightheart unsheathed his claws as well, then withdrew them... "Fighting you is worthless," He said, flicking his tail. "It won't change anything either so just put them back," he said with a blank look.

Aspenflake bared her teeth but relaxed upon hearing Cherrywind. She sheathed her claws and turned her attention to the shecat. "Are you okay?" she mewed softly.

Lightheart got up. "Yes but he almost didn't survive," He meowed, wincing. The water still dampened his fur.

"I will be, as long as the pair of you don't gut each other in the middle of the camp," Cherrywind snapped.

"Can't make any promises," he muttered.

"As long as he doesn't tempt me, my paws will stay clean," Aspenflake hissed. "Maybe Ivorystar should make him an apprentice again," she muttered beneath her breath, only loud enough for Cherrywind to hear.

Lightheart rolled his eyes. "Tempt you? Your gonna do that yourself," He hissed back.

"No because I have kits to take care of, and I don't intend on failing as a mother like you did as a mentor," Aspenflake mewed calmly.

Cherrywind growled again. "Stop arguing, both of you. You're both acting like jealous kits."

Aspenflake flattened her ears. "Sorry, I just feel Eaglepaw should've been given to a more experienced mentor."

Eaglepaw let out a small whimper. “I don’t want to die yet.” He muttered, partly dreaming. “I don’t want to drown.” He whimpered.

Ooc: guess i could make a post including Snowpuddle

Snowpuddle, having heard enough of the arguing, padded to the small group irritated. “Enough of the bickering. Lightheart, please either go to the warrior’s den or i can put on a patrol. Cherrywind, i would like for you to stay with your son. Aspenflake, if you would like to stay with him you can, try to keep Eaglepaw calm. Or i can put you on a patrol as well, not with Lightheart for now.” She mewed demandingly, her irritation showing. “Get Eaglepaw to the medicine den and stop crowding around him so much. Give the young tom some space.” She added, before padding away, her tail lashing. She didn’t enjoy showing anger but sometimes it made her feel more at ease. And she figured she might as well show she is worthy of being deputy and having the position.

Lightheart nodded not really paying attention to them.

Aspenflake scoffed and simply flicked her tail at the deputy. "We had stopped arguing until you walked over," she replied lightly and padded to her kits.

Cherrywind sighed and shook her head, laying beside Eaglepaw for a moment and licking his cheek. "Hey," she mumbled softly.

Eaglepaw opened his eyes a bit, expecting to see watery darkness like he had did when was drowning. “Wh-who?” He stammered, blinking his eyes, trying to get the blurriness out.

"Shh, it's me." Cherrywind licked his head soothingly. "You're in camp. We're gonna take you to the medicine den, is that okay?"

“Okay...” Eaglepaw muttered softly. “Okay.... Okay...” he repeated, going slightly crazy.

Lightheart grumbled, "Can I go now?"

“Flickerpaw let me know when you are ready to go train.” Snowpuddle mewed to her apprentice as she padded past him. Her irritation was slowly going down now, her tail lashing less.

Lightheart didn't wait for an answer and started walking away.

Rowanpool cleared his throat and called, "Hunting patrol, come on!" His tail twitched and he flexed his claws. He was sick of being cooped up and he needed to stretch his legs. "Mentors, this is a good time to teach your apprentices how to hunt," he added, sitting down and waiting patiently.

Lightheart padded to the camp entrance and sat down and looked forward out of the camp.

"I can go!" Jasperheart called to Rowanpool.
"Me too!" Petrelflight added.

“I’ll go!” Snowpaw said, bounding up besides her mentor., her ears pricked and her tail waving with excitement.

Petrelflight grinned to Snowpaw, then turned to Rowanpool. "Where'll we be going?" she asked.

"Eastern Moors," Rowanpool meowed and stretched out. He got to his paws with a groan. "We can check borders as well."

"Sound alright?" Petrelflight asked Snowpaw.

Sleekfire padded over to the group. “Mind if I join?” He asked. 

Aspenflame watched the group from the entrance of the elder’s den, sighing gently. To be a warrior, so full of life. 

Snowpaw nodded, tail stuck up with happiness.

Frostwing padded back inside the elder’s den with a scrawny rabbit and dropped it besides Aspenflame. “Prey?” She asked, trying to ignore her own hunger.

"Shall we head off now?" Petrelflight mewed.

Rowanpool nodded and purred, leading them out. Maybe while they're distracted I can see Quill and the kits.

Aspenflame shook his head. "I'm not hungry," he lied. "Give it to the queens if you're not going to eat it."

Though he didn't get any reply, Sleekfire shrugged and followed the hunting patrol.

Frostwing shrugged and sat in her nest, eating the prey slowly. She flicked her tail over her paws and closed her eyes. That rogue... that was father’s son, wasn’t it? she thought.

Ooc: *cough* MOST OF THE WARRIORS SHOULD BE OUT OF THE CAMP NOW

Lightheart looked behind him. Hmm, I guess I should get going...
