EchoClan camp

Hazelflight nudged Dovepaw some thyme. "Eat this, it should help the shock." she mewed.

Dovepaw nodded, and nibbled at the thyme leaves "Thanks." she mewed, gulping down the rest.

Lynxcloud blinked and watched Dovepaw devour the thyme leaves. She sighed and shook her head, trying to go back to sleep.

Littlepelt stared at Sagepetal's body. "So sad... "

Quick-leap nodded slowly. "She was a good cat..."

"Well, and deputy." Hazelflight mewed grumpily.

Dovepaw nodded. "Mmmhmm." she mewed, just agreeing with everything.

Lynxcloud sighed and scrambled up to her paws; she couldn't sleep. She realized this could be the chance to prove herself to the Clan. She noticed the prey stock was running low so she dashed out of camp.

ooc: Recap, please? xD
ic: Cynderpaw yawned, padding out of her den. She looked around camp and watched the distressed Dovepaw explain what had happened urgently, angling her ears towards the conversation with interest.

Ooc: my deputy Sagepetal died.
Littlepelt lay near the deputy's body, Quick-leap sitting next to her.

ooc: that's not very descriptive lol
ic: Cynderpaw shot a glance at the littermates and gaped at the fallen Sagepetal. She hurried over with a frown, laying down and pushing her nose into the former deputies cold fur, whimpering.

IC: Dovepaw glanced at Cynderpaw. "Heeeey..." she murmured, still crouched down. The shock had gone down, but was still there.

Hazelflight sighed and padded back into the medicine den, curling herself into a tight ball and trying to fall asleep.

Lynxcloud entered the camp again, ears flattened. She dropped all of her prey into the heap and prodded the rest towards the bottom with her paw. It was slowly growing; they would be set for leaf-bare, she was almost sure. She looked around camp and only saw the cold body of the fallen Sagepetal, Dovepaw, and Cynderpaw, all gathered in one small corner. She padded across the clearing, approaching them.
"I'm sure Snowstripe will bury her soon with the other elders. She will be missed." she reassured the apprentices, hissing under her breath when their cold, wet tears dropped over her paws.
She hid it with a smile, rubbing against them. She licked both of them behind the ears and purred, prowling to the other side of Sagepetal and twining tails with the body, sighing.

Dovepaw smiled, wrapping her tail over her paws. She noticed Lynxcloud trying to hide the tears, and smiled softly. "Sometimes the bravest thing to do is let them out." she mewed, softly.

Quickshatter acknowledged the apprentice's wisdom with a purr, whilst Littlepelt still stayed frozen, staring at the corpse.

Lynxcloud eyes suddenly burst out of her head like flames. She hopped to her feet and plunged out of the camp entrance, heading towards an undecided territory.

Smoketail limped out of the elders den, his eyes widened with shock as he saw the former deputy. "Sagepetal!" He meowed loud enough to startle the cats gathered around the cat. "What happened?!" Smoketail asked in horror. His ears lay flat and he sat down, wrapping his tail around his paws, still staring at the dead body.

Quickshatter shook his head. "We don't know for sure."

Smoketail looked at the warrior with saddened eyes. He nodded and continued to look at the corpse lying in front of them. "Are there any clues?" He asked concerned with a twitch of his tail.

Quickshatter snarled. "Personally, I think she was murdered."

Littlepelt cuffed her brother over the ear. "It could have been anything."

"Probably the fire, though I wouldn't put StormClan past it." Hazelflight muttered furiously.

Smoketail sighed and flicked his tail. "Well If she was murdered, I'd be glad to help find out who did it. As a young apprentice I was great at mysteries!" The old tom meowed with a cough in between. The elder got up and limped over to the dirt-place, coughing on the way there.

"Well, it wouldn't be a mystery, it'd just be a border skirmish gone too far. We can't punish a StormClan cat." she sighed,

Smoketail returned from the dirt-place. Still coughing, he headed into the elders den, limping on the way inside. "Poor Sagepetal.." He muttered to himself.

Dovepaw glanced from cat to cat. "Did I say something?" She asked, confused as to why Lynxcloud shot off.

Smoketail glanced at the young she-cat and shrugged from the entrance if the elders den, watching from there.

Firefoot prowled out of the elders den with a sigh, barely dragging himself to the fresh-kill pile. He nibbled on a finch, quickly finishing it and then gnawing on the bones; he was hungry alright. Firefoot then rose, somewhat unsteadily, to his paws and squeezed back into the elders den, shaking a little bit of loose moss from his fur.

As fire pool entered the den, Smoketail moved aside for space. "Hello, Firepool." He dipped his head in a hello to the fellow elder.

Foxpaw entered camp with a vole dangling in her jaws. Her eyes widened as she spotted the dead cat. she dropped it in the pile and hurried over. "Who-What-How??" She stuttered, confused and anxious.

Littlepelt sighed, padding to her den for a nap.

Quick-leap snatched a mouse from the pile and nibbled on it.

Smoketail beckoned his tail to Foxpaw, a sad glint in his eyes shown. "Come here, I'll explain." He grunted as his gaze shifted towards the elders den.

Foxpaw nodded and approached inside, listening anxiously to what the elder would say.

ic: Brightberry watched her kits playing, Windkit mewling as one of his siblings batted at his ears.

OOC: idk what's going on either
IC: Hazelflight lounged in front of her den, her tail whipping back and forth.

Foxpaw returned from the den, glancing at Sagepetal and then back at her paws. She didn't feel quit comfy by going over to spend time with the dead body since she didn't quit know the deputy as much.

Smoketail sighed and sat down in his nest inside the stuffy elders den.

OOC: There isn't very much going on right now, you could try to find another kit or someone to talk to.

Smoketail let out a slight yowl in surprise. "Old moss, with thorns.." He meowed, flicking his bushy tail in annoyance.

Foxpaw yawned, she perked her ears up as Smoketail complained for new moss. She quickly decided to try avoiding the job since she was the only apprentice outside at te moment. Foxpaw quickly left into the apprentices den and plopped over on her cold, poky nest.

Lilyflower narrowed her eyes at the elders den, she shrugged and ignored it, usually the apprentices will do it, not a warrior. She though picking through the large fresh-kill pile.

Quickleap was feeling generous and padded over to Smoketail. "Would you like me to clean your nest?"

Smoketail looked up, he smiled, "Oh yes, thank you. Apprentices these days really are quit ignorers. I'm glad you came." He rasped,moving aside from his old nest.

Foxpaw sighed and layed down in her nest, staring up at the ceiling.

Lilyflower picked out a finch and picked it up in her jaws, carrying it over to the elders den. She dropped it on front of Smoketail, "Here, I remembered nobody gave you some fresh-kill yet today, so..." She meowed, nudging over the finch.

Smoketail purred, "Thank you." He responded, picking it up in his jaws firmly.

Lyxncloud returned into camp, fuming. She entered the warriors den and sat in her nest, tail whipping back and forth with fury. She picked thorns out of her nest and settled down, licking her paws and quietly bringing them behind her ears. She felt a drop of water fall on her. She looked up and growled at the ceiling.
"Stupid leaks. Stupid drizzling. Stupid everything!" she howled, turning her back to the wall and snapping her eyes shut.

Hazelflight heard howling and rushed over to the warriors den. "So is someone injured or just cold?" she mewed.

Quickleap purred and dragged the old den outside, burying it. He searched for a while and finally found some decent moss and brought it back to camp, careful not to get any dirt or dew in it. The tom laid it out, quickly checked for thorns and let Smoketail access it.

Smoketail purred happily as he settled down onto the new nest. "Why, thank you. This is probably the comfiest nest I've been in, in about 20 moons!" He meowed with thankfulness.

Lilyflower nodded and left the den. She padded into the warriors den and noticed Lynxfang's yowl. "Er-What's wrong?" She meowed, right behind Hazelflight.

Foxpaw tried different positions, but couldn't sleep. Soon enough rain started to pour down, turning most of the snow into slush.

Lynxcloud got up when Hazelflight and Lilyflower entered the den.
"Why don't these warriors do anything anymore? There's a leak." she winced as a cold droplet of water fell and drizzled down her nose.

"Well, we could fix it, but you didn't have to yowl.. " Lilyflower meowed, half amused and half annoyed.

Foxpaw padded out of the apprentice's den as the rain poured down on her fur. Great! She thought miserably.

Smoketail layed down in the newly made nest and glanced at Firepool and back. "Ahh, rain, perfect for sleeping." He thought out loud.

Quickleap purred and padded over to Foxpaw. "Complaining wont do anything!"

Sandleap flattened his ears against the rain. He hated getting wet, but he padded over to the warrior's den.

OOC: The leak is in the warriors den. Please pay attention, Leopard.

Lynxcloud faked a smile at Lilyflower and padded away, ears flattened. She growled as she dug a hole and built a barrier out of sticks to hide to hide the fresh-kill. She took her large paw and brought it against the prey, knocking it softly inside the large hole she'd had made. She put sticks and leaves over it, making a little house. She bared her teeth and took out a squirrel before returning to her den. She circled her nest and plopped down, nibbling the squirrel as she waited impatiently for someone to fix the leak. She had sat in another nest, away from the leak.

OOC: I've been gone all day, and my cat doesn't know that??? Also the camp in inside a mountain so...
IC: Hazelflight looked at the leak. "That's uh, pretty weird."

Lilyflower nodded, "And she could help as well.." She muttered, quiet enough for Lynxcloud to not hear.

Foxpaw twitched her tail irritatedly, "I wasn't complaining." She meowed, responding to the warrior. The calico she-cat looked around for her mentor, having one thing she was excited to do, train.

Smoketail's eyes fell droopy as the rain left a soothing rhythm of pitter-pattering.
