Stormpaw paused for a moment then got down like he was ready to jump at his mentor.

Patchflame took a matching pose opposite of Stormpaw. "Now attack me. I'll critique your attack afterwards."

Stormpaw blinked then jumped for him.

Patchflame dodged the apprentice and as the apprentice went by him he reared and brought both of his paws down on him, pinning him to the ground.

Stormpaw hissed, wiggling and trying to get out of the hold.

Patchflame purred and let go of him. "When attacking keep at least one paw on the ground. That way you can avoid being pinned and can dodge and change your course."

"Sure," Patchflame meowed. "Crouch down and turn with your paw out and hooked. You can trip your enemies and hurt them at the same time."

Patchfalme fell, his legs getting caught on the apprentice's outstretched paw, and tumbled into the ground, rolling until he camp to a stop on his stomach. Dust flew up behind him. He coughed and got to his paws. "Good... job." He coughed, spitting out dust.

"Okay," Patchflame meowed, standing up. "We can try a defensive move. When an enemy latches themselves on to your back you have to twist really hard to get them off, or start rolling until they come off."
