Quartzpaw paused for a moment, watching Carppaw bristle, then groaned and slunk out after Willowpaw. "Wait!" she hissed, padding up to her denmate.

Cherrypaw glanced to Bearpaw and nudged him awake. He's close to being a warrior so might as well take him with.

The large, slender brown tom awoke with a grunt and got to his paws, reluctantly following Cherrypaw and the others.

Bumblepaw yawned and sighed. "They're stupid mutts," she mewed a little lazily, resting her head down again.

Pigeonpaw cowered in her nest. "Oh, I hope they'll be okay!" She whimpered, narrowing her eyes in worry. The unusual, curly-furred shecat flattened her ears as a crack of lightning flashed across the sky, and thunder boomed after it.

Weather:
The storm is easing up, but a new chill sits in the air as leaf-fall's true hold begins to take. Prey will begin to become harder to catch; please make sure to remember this in the RP!

Clan information:

WaterClan is strong, despite not being in their camp. However the chilly winds and storm bring new issues; the Small Ponds will be discovered frozen, but not solid. Does this mean a cold winter ahead?

(The apprentices will continue to steal eggs during the day, though they must do it in such a way that their mentors don't catch them)

Marshfeather trotted out of the warriors den sleepily. He poked his head into the apprentice den, frowning as he noticed Carppaw was absent. He shrugged and headed off for FrostClan to check on Cloverlily.

Leopardspots blinked sleepily, happy she'd stayed awake for her vigil.

Firepool slipped out the den, shivering as he stepped out into the cold, and still air of leaf-bare. He nodded to Leopardspots, and padded over to her with a plump mouse. "It must have been a cold vigil," He meowed, setting down the mouse, "Here, you've earned it."

Flowerbelly groaned as the warriors began waking up. Her bones creaked as she roused from her nest. Ugh, I need more sleep. I couldn't rest a wink with Salmonpelt's complaining about a little stomachache. she thought, glancing over her shoulder to see her older brother sound asleep now with his head tucked underneath his tail. She rolled her eyes with amusement and padded out into the camp. "Great job, Leopardspots! Did you stay awake the whole time?" she giggled.

A soft purr escaped from Firepool's throat as he gave a quick lick to Flowerbelly's cheek in greeting.

Lakemist slipped out the warrior's den; the older warrior nodded to the new warriors who were finally finished with their vigils, and padding over to where Nightfoot was. "What are the patrols?" She asked with a quick yawn.

Turtlesplash peeked into the apprentice den, frowned, then trotted to Sandstar. "Did someone start a training session while I was asleep?" she chirped.

Tanglewind clamped his jaws around a yawn. "I'd be happy to sleep on a bed of thorns at this rate," he mewed, swaying a little on his paws.

"Lostblaze..." Snowlily whined, snuggling into his warmth some more. "No. More sleep."

Tanglewind tackled his sister. "You make a nest with its eggs!" he purred, batting her ears gently.

Snowlily nodded and looked up at Lostblaze's confused expression with an amused purr. "A nursery is where kits are born and spend their first six moons," she mewed slowly and a little sarcastically.

Briarfrost shivered and her tail twitched in slight disgust. She tried to mask the movement so she could continue pretending to sleep in her nest. She really wanted to get out of the den and away from the other cats boring conversations, which was why she was slightly disgusted in the first place, but she knew it was still quite chilly outside and she doubted anyone was ready to go on a patrol. Briarfrost resisted stretching out her bunched paws and tried to not think about how restless she has been feeling stuck in camp.

Pigeonpaw woke up with a start, remembering how the apprentices had left last night for the alligator eggs. She shifted awkwardly in her nest as Turtlesplash peeked in, and noticed that some nests were empty. Oh no! Pigeonpaw bounced to her paws, and clumsily padded out of her nest, What if they find out where they went? The small apprentice prodded Carppaw, then Shorepaw, her soft blue eyes narrowed in worry. Feathercloud awake in the temporary nursery, an unknown fear suddenly coming over her as she wrapped hr tail around her kits instinctively. She had heard about their camp and what was taking it over and she felt scared for her kits. She looked at each in turn, Dawnkit, Dewkit, and Flashkit; reminded of how much they looked like their father, Hailstorm.

Spiderpaw blinked awake. "Huh? Pigeonpaw?" he whispered, hearing the anxious apprentice. THE ALLIGATOR! His eyes flew open. "Fish-dung. Fish dung and frog guts." he mewed, "Where are they? Shouldn't they be back by now?"

Pigeonpaw flicked her tail. "No!" She mewed in protest, "The others will get in trouble!" She gulped, hoping Spiderpaw wouldn't go and tell on Willowpaw and her group. With a sharp glance towards Carppaw, who didn't care about the troublesome apprentices, she sucked in a deep breath, "Maybe we should go look for them?"

Shorepaw groaned, blinking her eyes open. She noticed the still-empty nests of the other apprentices and rolled her eyes. Idiots. she scoffed under her breath, curling up and going back to sleep.

Nightfoot looked up to Lakemist and nodded, gently slipping away from Morningleaf. "I'll send out a border patrol to check on the rogues. I think we should stay away from the alligator for a while." he meowed, shuddering at the memory of Ottercreek being dragged into the river, clamped in the alligator's jaws.

Mistleleaf yawned in the medicine den, sighing a little as she looked at Peachcloud and Twistedleg. "If you need any help with anything, I'll be in the elders' den," she mewed with a small purr. "Just because I've retired doesn't mean I've forgotten all of my skills."
