Roseleaf glanced at her friend. "Back to the medicine den? For now, yes. But you should check on Ivorystar, I think she's still in her den." She flicked her tail, a little worried for the leader. "This life was given to her by her father, for believing in what is right when everything seems lost. I fear that might have gotten to her head a little."

Hazelflight flattened her ears. "Aw." How come I didn't know that? Am I out of touch with SoulClan or is she really in-touch or...mouse-dung it's been literal seasons and I can't adjust to being here. "You've been her medicine cat longer, I don't know if it's right for me to go." she muttered.

Roseleaf brushed Hazelflight's cheek with her tail. "But you're her medicine cat now too," she prompted. "I'm pretty sure she likes you more than me, I fed her yarrow by accident when I was an apprentice and she never really forgave me."

"Sure." Hazelflight shrugged, her mind racing with plausibilities for why Roseleaf wouldn't want to confront Ivorystar alone.

"Alright, I'll get some." Hazelflight mewed, not giving Roseleaf time to respond as she quickly trotted back to the medicine den to find some spare thyme in their storage.

Hazelflight trotted back out, a few stems of thyme in her jaws, and nodded to Roseleaf. She shivered as a cold wind blew through the camp, then continued towards Ivorystar's den.

Roseleaf clamped her jaws around a yawn as she tapped the rocks at the entrance to the leader's den. "Ivorystar?"
"Yes?" Ivory pushed her head out, eyes narrowed.

Roseleaf accepted the gesture and flicked her ears a little. Ivorystar huffed. "And why would I need thyme?"
"To calm you down," Roseleaf dipped her head a little. "We can tell you are taking the hardship of this new life a little too seriously."

Roseleaf nodded, then pushed into the den. "Sorry, Ivorystar?" she said, her eyes taking a moment to adjust to the darkness.
Ivorystar looked up. "Yes, Roseleaf?"
"I uh... Hazelflight and I want to visit the Mooncave. We were wondering if you would like to join us."

Oceanmist couldn't help but overhear the conversation in the leaders den. Would they need me to come along? she thought, bouncing on her paws. I guess they'll be fine if Ivorystar is coming.. she sprawled onto her back, letting the wind ruffle her belly fur. When a stare from Whitefrost came her way, she leaped up, licking down her coat and feeling the pleasure of dead leaves crunch beneath her pads.

Nettlepaw was watching the ground as a beetle crawled across and leapt to her paws once Hazepaw exited the Medicine cat den. "Hazepaw!" She exclaimed, rushing over. "Where are you hurt? Was it scary? How did the fox get you? Is it gone?" She said too quickly, probably overwhelming him.

Nettlepaw blinked and sat down, wrapping her smooth tail around her delicate paws. "Okay... But tell me.. How did you fight it?" She asked, her eyes wide in eagerness to hear about a fox.

Skybreeze padded away, heading for the fresh-kill pile. She was shocked and dizzy from the fox fight. Especially making it worse by being a fox. The images of her father flooded back to her, the fox killing him without mercy while she and Nightpelt, her brother watched in horror as kits.

"W-well! I.." Hazepaw stuttered, feeling once again the fox's eyes burning into the back of his head. "It-It leapt on me...." The bleeding red eyes continue to stare at him as he began to think of what happened. He sort of just shuddered, it was dark, why is he so scared?? Isn't he meant to be a warrior? I can't look scared in front of Nettlepaw now..! "I-I leapt on I-its back and starts biting on his neck!" He exclaimed, not sure whether its true or not.

Nettlepaw smiled, her eyes twinkling in awe. "Wow! I bet you were great, Hazepaw!" She purred in amazement. "If I was there, I'd probably freeze in fear." Nettlepaw snorted, licking her light brown tabby chest fur in embarrassment.

"Medicine cat business," Roseleaf nodded seriously, knowing that she wouldn't question it. "You just seemed troubled and I wondered whether a talk with your ancestors would be good?"

Oasispaw padded across the clearing, she was moving fast. She reached the edge of the clearing, and fluffed her fur. She was about to pad out of the entrance to hunt.

Roseleaf touched Hazelflight's shoulder gently with her tail. "We will go tomorrow, then, Ivorystar," she dipped her head and quickly led her fellow medicine cat out. "We'll go tonight," she muttered.

Hazelflight nodded slightly, heart still racing from the hostile encounter. Maybe we should head once they leave for the gathering? No, she probably wants us to come. Or maybe not, since losing us would be bad for the Clan.

Roseleaf rolled her eyes a little and nudged Hazelflight. "I'm sorry. She's a bit nuts."

Jasperheart trotted and sat at the base of the tree next to Aukletwing, who was hunched over wheezing.
Petrelflight scanned the crowd for Aurashade as she milled through the camp.
Boulderheart sat on one of the tree roots and looked out over the Clan.

Nettlepaw groaned, "I guess we'll go afterwards, there's a meeting now." She pointed out, padding over to the clearing and motioning her tail for Hazepaw to sit beside her.

Daisypaw returned from the hunt with Aurorashade, dropping her catches in the fresh-kill pile and joining Nettlepaw for the meeting.

Skybreeze perked her ears and sat down, looking up at Ivorystar. I wonder if Nightpelt would be there... She thought, shaking her head at the thought of her brother's clan and her's enemies.

Eagleblaze joined Skybreeze, watching his clan mates gather around in the clearing.

Otterpaw pads over and sits down a few tail lengths from a group of apprentices.

Oasispaw stopped in her tracks. She carefully backtracked, and sat in her spot near the apprentices. I wonder who Ivorystar is going to choose. Probably not Molepaw. He has jut turned an apprentice. Oh well. At least I saved him a spot!

Molepaw quickly padded over Oasispaw. He shoved her paw over, so he could sit down next to her. "Thanks for saving me a spot." He whispered to her. Molepaw grinnned. For a gathering eh? I hope Oasispaw gets to go. She seems good.

Cherrypetal stalked out of the warriors den. She quickly padded near some warriors. She began to play with her paws, until she stopped, and looked up at Ivorystar.

Aurorashade flicked her tail at Daisypaw as a motion for her to be quiet. She glanced around camp for Jasperheart, failing to catch her eye. My, I haven't seen her all day.. she thought worriedly.
