"I can do it." Snailnose answered back. All I did today was laze around with Seashell.

Feathercloud, who sleeping in a nest where the other queens were, suddenly felt a sharp but then long pain in her belly. She groaned from it, thinking it was just her kits moving around inside her. But after a few moments, the pain stayed, and she yowled in agony as she began to realize she was going into labor. I'm having the kits. I'm having my kits! She thought to herself as she sprawled out in her nest and began to breathe heavily. "My kits... are coming." She half groaned and half yowled from the pain, to any cat who was near her.

Ooc: so since i haven't been on in awhile, i'm gonna go along with Feathercloud starting to have her kits. Cue i guess for you @Aquastar

Sandstar was woken up from a dream of lot of prey when he heard the racket outside. Feathercloud. I wish it wouldn't happen during such a great dream! He thought, standing up and yawning.

Carpkit rolled his eyes and got up, but was nudged back by Mistleleaf who had already come with the necessary herbs and items. "I wasn't asleep," she mewed, setting a thick stick down and a small leaf of borage. "How close together are the pains, Feathercloud?"

"Close. Every few heartbeats..." Feathercloud said between breaths. "It's feels like they are getting more painful." She groaned, her claws digging deeper into the soil of the ground.

Feathercloud nodded and took the stick, biting down almost immediately as another pain went through her. She suddenly began to push on instinct, wanting her kits with her and the pain to go away.

Feathercloud nodded briskly and just as another pain arrived, she pushed as hard as she could. She hoped her dream of her kits would come true, and they would look exactly as she pictured.

She nodded at the medicine cat, taking some breaths that were much needed. The pushing continued for awhile longer, until one push was a bit longer than the rest and she realized that one kit was on its way.

Mistleleaf quickly took the kit and licked it roughly, drying its fur just enough before placing it beside Feathercloud's belly. "Keep going," she encouraged.

Feathercloud pushed again, excitement beginning to show as she felt her first kit next to her. She bit down harder on the stick, as her next kit was on its way as well.

Ic: Feathercloud pushed again and let out a long breath as the second kit came. So far, her dream was coming true, her kits being born but also their appearances. The first kit was small and gray with a shine of blue, the second was an orange tabby, and she hoped the third was just like she imagined.

Feathercloud pushed once more and as she bit down on the stick, she managed to snap it in half. She spat out any splinters and once the third was placed near her belly she curled herself around them. She already had names picked out for them. Her kits were beautiful and everything she had dreamed of.

Mistleleaf sniffed the kits gently. "They seem okay. Let me know if anything happens." She nudged the borage to the new queen, and simply left.

Feathercloud chewed the herb the medicine cat left her, then began to lick her kits. Soon she fell asleep, praying that her deceased mate was watching over them from Soulclan.

Feathercloud opened one eye at her leader and simply nodded. She was exhausted and didn't want to be bothered at the moment. She could feel her kits squirming at her belly and she softly purred with joy and love for them.

Its D A W N now!

Prepare for dawn patrols! Reminder to medicine cats that there is a meeting this evening.

Clan update: WaterClan remains well even though they've been driven from their camp. The water is receding today, and the cats might soon be able to return to their rightful place, after a special patrol led by Turtlesplash is sent to take a look around and see if it is safe for the more vulnerable members to return to the camp.

Turtlesplash trotted out of the hollow she had chosen in the side of a gnarled oak as the first rays of sunlight hit her eyes. She looked around for anyone else awake. The floodwater should've receded by now.

Feathercloud woke up as the sun began to shine on her face a little. She almost got up immediately to stretch but quickly remembered she had her kits now. She purred with joy and love as she looked down at them, sleeping soundly at her belly. She curled her tail around them more, covering them to keep them warm.

Doveflight blinked open her pale amber eyes, grinning for the first time in days at her two kits nestled at her belly. She didn't want to disturb their rest so she lay her head back down.

Shadeheart stretched beside Ebonyfur, wincing as his shoulder wound throbbed. He struggled to get comfortable in the cramped den.

Hazelpaw squeezed past all of the other cats in the den, finally emerging into the clearing, where not too many cats were awake yet.

Rubblewind snuggled a little further into Rainstorm's pelt, not wanting to get up, but fluffing his fur as a brisk wind blew through the sheltered area the warriors had claimed as their sleeping spot.

Salmonpelt saw cats finally waking up and entering the clearing, so he followed Aquatail over to where the patrols were forming. He had stayed up most of the night by the temporary medicine den, not being able to sleep. He hoped that whatever rogues stole FireClan's camp wouldn't come to WaterClan, and that no more battles would be fought soon.

Turtlesplash clambered onto the roots of an ancient ash tree, scanning the gap in the swamps where they had made camp to shelter from the flood.
"The water has likely receded with the coming greenleaf." she called, "I need a patrol to go scout out camp and make sure it's safe. Rainstorm, Shadeheart, Aquatail; can you three handle it?"

"In the meantime, we need to make sure no rogues are at our borders, or any BrightClan cats sour after yesterdays battle. Rubblewind, gather a patrol to head to the BrightClan border. Salmonpelt, gather a patrol for the DuskClan border."
