Riptidepaw felt as though his fur leapt off his pelt as lightning flashed and thunder cracked. He raced to the spot where he was supposed to be defending.

Sparrowpaw yelped at the sudden bolt of lightning. She flattened her ears in surprise. She hated storms, but kept her eye on Fawndapple if they would complete the training anymore or not.

Wavepaw immediately moved closer to Sparrowpaw, his eyes narrowing at the rumbling sound in the distance, then stiffened as rain started to fall like sheets.
Fawndapple yowled out. "We're heading back to camp in case this gets worse!"

Sparrowpaw fluffed out her fur and bounded over to Fawndapple, tail up. She shivered. "It's cold, too." she meowed, thinking out loud.

Fawndapple nodded, shifting further under the ledge of the side of the area to try and let as many others in as she could. "Let's wait a few minutes then head back," she decided.

Sparrowpaw hurried in first, tail fluffed out in fear. She huddled in a corner and watched as the rest of the apprentices poured in, along with the two warriors.

Tornadopaw flattened his ears against the hail and rain, ducking underneath the ledge and wrapping his tail tightly around his body.

Risingpaw grumbled a little as he tried to flick water off his paws.

Sparrowpaw shrugged, feeling comforted by Wavepaw's presence. She flattened herself against the ground at the loud crackle of thunder above them.

Tornadopaw licked his paws, in an attempt to keep them warm.

Wavepaw licked her ear gently to try and calm her, while Fawndapple poked her head out of the shelter with her eyes narrowed.

Tornadopaw joined Fawndapple, observing the horrific weather just outside the ledge. "Are we going to go back to camp soon, Fawndapple?" he asked, paws shaking as thunder boomed throughout the sky.

Sparrowpaw purred. "T-thanks," she stuttered. "I don't know why storms scare me so much." she giggled a little bit, hoping it would brush away her terrible fear as hail flew down on the ledge.

Foxdapple rushed over to the shelter without any hesitation and fluffed her fur up, shivering from the blast of wind coming from the storm clouds up ahead.

Jadepaw followed and crouched with her paws tucked underneath her chest and her tail curled around.

Fallenpaw stood for a few heartbeats, staring up at the beautiful silver lined and blue-gray clouds ahead and giggled in surprise as she felt a few raindrops on her face.

Thunderpaw looked up, his eyes dull, before heading over to a shelter away from the other cats. He shook his pelt, sitting down. "How long do we have to wait here?" he called over the wind.

Fawndapple noted how the rain was easing off a little, but not much, shaking her head slightly. "We'll head back. We're gonna get wet, but it's better than being here in a flash flood."

Sparrowpaw brushed past Wavepaw, her tail draping over his shoulder as she padded up to Fawndapple. I hope it'll get better soon, she thought anxiously.

Tornadopaw nodded. "I'd rather get my fur drenched with rain than get carried away in a flash flood," he murmured quietly, to nobody in particular.

Fawndapple waited for lightning to crack across the sky, then nodded. "Stick together! Let's go!" She darted out of the shelter, racing to climb the side of the small crevasse, with Risingpaw hot on her heels.
Wavepaw nudged Sparrowpaw to her paws quickly.

Sleekfire stretched, leaping down the steep side of the small crevasse and landing lightly in the dirt. "All right. No claws, no teeth, means no serious injures. Right?"

Lightpaw chuckled slightly and looked over Sleekfire's stance closely. He moved quickly and quietly, leaping onto his back with a swipe at his head.

Being the BrightClan cat he was, Sleekfire slipped out of the way, giving Lightpaw's back leg a quick thwap as he did so. "More! I want to see whether or not you could defeat me!"

OOC: He knows clan moves too because of a clan cat who turned rogue. Plus unique stuff he's come up with.

Lightpaw landed lightly and flattened his ears. "Most the things I know will get you hurt but okay," he mewed and sprinted at the warrior, head on. At the last moment he leaped over Sleekfire, landing in front of him and swiping his paws at his face, only to move down and hit his legs. He sprinted away and lashed his tail.

Sleekfire felt buffeted a little but that only got him going. He followed Lightpaw, feinting in a similar fashion but instead ducking under the apprentice's belly and pushing himself upwards to knock the smaller cat of his paws.

Lightpaw twisted in the air and hit the ground running, jumping onto Sleekfire's tail almost like a kit would, only to slam his paws down on his mentor's lower back. He leaped off and immediately barreled into the larger tom's side.

Lightpaw watched the warrior closely, staying in place. "You know Clan cats have joined the rogues right?" He meowed and glanced around the hollow. Nodding, he leaped at the wall, just barely managing to catch a small foothold. Using the height difference to his advantage, he jumped down once close enough, landing with two paws on either side of Sleekfire's body. He pinned the warrior's tail and swiped a paw over his head before leaping off.

OOC: Idk if there's actually footholds, but that's one of the things he came up with.

ic: Sleekfire got to his paws, nodding. "I'm aware. Some cats have no loyalty," he mewed, staring at Lightpaw as if accusing him. He leaped at the apprentice but purposely fell short, dodging to meet his movements and cuffing him over the ears.

Lightpaw stumbled back and flattened his ears. "I didn't choose to leave! I was taken!" He snapped, hurt. Without warning, he sprinted head on at the warrior, barreling into his chest. Whirling, he threw his head up into the bottom of Sleekfire's jaw.

Lightpaw yowled and pounced onto the warrior once he got up, slamming his paws into Sleekfire's belly to knock the wind out of him. His fur bristled, lips pulled back as he growled, but there were tears in his eyes. He moved away and ducked his head, looking at his paws.

Sleekfire nodded a little. "You have good techniques. But you think too much," he mewed quietly. "You're very stiff, BrightClan are limber and move quickly. Its about countering the move before its even begun more than dodging it once its happening."

Lightpaw scoffed, but it sounded more like a choked sob. "Oh really? Gee, I wonder why I could possibly be angry. Maybe it's because my mother died saving me when all I'll ever be is just a mangy rogue! You already said it, I have no sense of loyalty!" He started off growling, but finished in a weak whisper, legs shaking as he struggled to stay standing.

"It's my fault she died," Lightpaw whispered and stepped back. "Quailkit and Willowkit died because of me too. They wouldn't have gotten sick if I hadn't wanted to go play. I wouldn't have been taken. Mom would still be alive!" He cried and buried his nose into Sleekfire's fur as tears spilled from his eyes. "My dad wouldn't even look at me when I arrived today.."

Sleekfire nodded slowly, brushing his tail soothingly down the apprentice's back and replying with a low and gentle voice. "You were a kit, Lightpaw, it wasn't your fault. No kit is blamed for the silly things they do, and Quailkit and Willowkit's deaths weren't your fault either. I am certain that Brindleflight doesn't and never will blame you for any of their deaths, okay?" He moved a little, purposely looking into Lightpaw's eyes.
