Fawndapple nodded. "Maybe if you talked to Thunderpaw up there I can announce he's not feeling up to it, then he can surprise attack some cats when we're trapped?" she suggested.

Foxdapple watched silently from beside Fawndapple and flicked her tail, waiting to be instructed on what to do.

Fallenpaw's gaze followed a white butterfly, becoming totally distracted by it and not paying attention.

Jadepaw lashed her tail in excitement and shuffled her paws, "Do you think we're being trained like this because we might have to battle Frostclan or Fireclan? Or maybe Waterclan.." She meowed to her brother, Risingpaw.

Fallenpaw sat down quietly, and glanced at Risingpaw and Jadepaw as if she was waiting for them to come up with everything.

Jadepaw snorted, "So, what's our plan?" She meowed, casting a few glances at the groups that seemed to be already onto ideas.

Foxdapple smiled and flicked her ears, "Okay, so as Fawndapple mentioned, you three need to come up with the battle tactics. Any ideas so far?" She explained, her eyes flickering up at the branch in excitement.

Risingpaw frowned. "I um...well, considering we're fighting against both Fawndapple's group and Mudwhisker's, maybe we should split up? Two go for Mudwhisker's team and two go for the branch?" He flicked his tail, trying not to stutter.

Fallenpaw purred, "That sounds like a good idea!" She exclaimed, rather softly. She quickly wrapped her tail around her paws as a chilly gust of wind seemed to slap her in the back with it's cold breath.

Jadepaw flicked her tail, "Why don't you and Fallenpaw go climb, while I go with Mudwhisker? Besides, I'm not that good at it anyways.." She pointed out.

Thunderpaw glanced at the sky, uncertainty flashing in his eyes. He tried to stand, but the branch he was on - the highest - swept down and snapped. He let out a wail as he crashed through the other branches and felt his scruff get caught in a thick stub three or four branches away from the snow.

He twisted around, getting his scruff loose and landing on a lower branch, before jumping down onto the snow. "Bad luck..." he said, before watching Riptidepaw.

Foxdapple turned around sharpy to meet Fawndapple and dodged her attack, but didn't think twice as she must have let her pounce on one of the apprentices.

Fallenpaw's fur prickled in excitement as she followed Risingpaw over to the trees.

Jadepaw joined Mudwhisker to fight off the others and crouched down, ready to strike whoever came first.

Tornadopaw nodded at Wavepaw and Sparrowpaw to begin their attack. He charged straight forward, towards Fawndapple, ready to put his paws up for defense.

Sparrowpaw looked up at nodded, launching herself to the left of Fawndapple and began her sprint to the tree.

Sparrowpaw yowled when Thunderpaw landed on her back. She wriggled around and used all her strength to attempt to push him off with her paws.

Tornadopaw looked over at his teammate and growled. He charged towards Thunderpaw and leaped, knocking Thunderpaw onto the ground to let Sparrowpaw escape.

Thunderpaw let out a yelp. He smirked and used his back legs to push into Tornadopaw's stomach, pushing him off. He pelted back to Sparrowpaw, batting her side harshfully with sheathed paws.

Wavepaw watched the commotion, sneaking around the side of the chaos. However, the moment he crouched to leap, Risingpaw's heavy weight crushed him to the ground with a loud "oof!"

"Good, Thunderpaw!" Fawndapple called, using a BrightClan technique of spinning to try and confuse the other apprentices.

Sparrowpaw grit her teeth. She had had enough. She let out a fierce yowl and head butted into Thunderpaw. She took the chance to try again in her advance to the tree. She looked around and saw her teammates struggling. She was caught in her completion and ignored them, finally reaching the tree and scrambling up the trunk.

Tornadopaw gathered his breath and watched Sparrowpaw with a purr of triumph. "She did it!" he whispered to nobody in particular.

Thunderpaw stood, as if nothing had happened, and flicked his tail. "I could've done better... But she wouldn't be up there if my claws were outstretched..." he mumbled, only audible for Tornadopaw to hear. He climbed the tree he was in, and hid in a few branches. "Next time I'll unsheathe my claws..." he hissed.

Sparrowpaw bounced with joy. She leaped off the tree and padded to the center of the field, looking around uneasily for someone to partner with.

Tornadopaw padded over to Riptidepaw, trying to hold back what he wanted to say to Thunderpaw. "Hey, Riptidepaw, want to partner up?" he purred.

Fawndapple glanced at the other two warriors, murmuring to them briefly, before turning back to the apprentices. "I want us to repeat the previous exercise, but each pair will be battling. Choose one cat of your pair to defend, and the other to try and get to the landmark. We'll be watching and assessing how well you use your ranges of moves and your creativity."
