Fire/Frost/Bright border

Thornsplash gave a curt nod, "Well, I suppose we're going to have to catch some prey than." She meowed, grinning mischievously. She crossed the border without hesitation and opened her jaws to scent prey.

Heatherglow frowned, "Uh, but isn't that against the warrior code?" She meowed, wanting to turn back to camp. I don't want to get into trouble! She thought.

Thornsplash hissed, "No. We're perfectly fine, how else are we supposed to lure them over?" She lashed her  tail with irritation and glanced at Redstar for approval.

Send someone onto BrightClan territory to lure a patrol over the border.

Redstar growled at Heatherglow. "It doesn't seem like BrightClan has been following the warrior code," she meowed. She scented a BrightClan patrol close by and raised her tailtip, curling the tip. "Lunarshine, Thornsplash, you two are going to lure this patrol over onto our border. Heatherglow, if anyone escapes, I give you full permission to attack." she ordered.

Thornsplash nodded curtly and flicked her tail for lunarshine to follow her, before she left into the thick of the woods.

Lunarshine hesitantly followed Thornsplash, although she kept her senses alert for any sign of a BrightClan patrol.

OOC: Is there one already coming or should we get one?

Thornsplash opened her jaws and halted, her paw raised hesitantly in front of her. She flicked her ear, "I think someone's coming." She whispered to the younger warrior behind.

Heatherglow sat down, unsheathing her claws and digging them into the soil. She lashed her tail with nervousness, feeling as if everything depended on her to catch them if they escaped.

OOC: There's the patrol with Aurorashade/Petrelflight/Jasperheart/Nightmoon heading here

IC: Lunarshine flattened her ears, claws unsheathed and ready to put up a fight if the BrightClan patrol wasn't being easy on them.

Redstar snarled, catching the scent of a patrol getting closer, closer, closer...

Petrelflight led her group under the trees to get out of the hail. The ground was damp and squelched under her paws, causing her to tense up. The scent of FireClan and FrostClan made her tense up.
Jasperheart pricked her ears and looked up to see a jay complaining from a branch.

Aurorashade plundered beside Petrelflight, nose scrunched up. "I smell FrostClan," she whispered, unsheathing her claws.

Lunarshine opened her jaws for fresh scents and spotted a BrightClan patrol not too far away. "Thornsplash!" she whispered harshly. "BrightClan."

"We are on their border." Petrelflight whispered, blinking harshly as she remembered Quickstep. Why do we have to be up against FrostClan of all Clans? "Perhaps we should try talking to them?"

Aurorashade blinked, blankly staring at Petrelflight. "Talk to them?" she meowed. "I don't think FrostClan would listen."

Petrelflight sighed. "Yeah." she mewed. "Well, we aren't positive they're here. It might be lingering from an earlier patrol."

Aurorashade shrugged. "I wouldn't go near it," she mumbled, flicking some acorns at an unpleasant woodpecker banging its beak against a tree.
Lunarshine followed the sound of whispering voices, spotting the silhouettes of a BrightClan patrol. "Thornsplash, how will we trap them?" she whispered.

OOC: They're luring them into FrostClan territory where Dapplestar is
IC: Jasperheart clambered up a tree, legs shaking, towards the jay. The bird turned, saw her, let out an alarm, and tried to fly away. Jasperheart leaped for it, snatching it out of the air before it could get too far. She landed on a rather thin branch, which swayed under her weight but didn't break.

OOC: Yeah I know Lunarshine is just kind of clueless at times lol
IC: Aurorashade spotted a rodent scuttling beneath a patch of grass and prowled towards it, baring her teeth. She bounded after it, but it escaped from her claws at the last second. "Mouse-dung!" she snarled, watching the small creature disappear into an abandoned rabbit hole.

Thornsplash wrinkled her nose at the scent and flicked her ear. "We'll simply wait for them to find us first." She meowed, taking a quick seat and curling her long tail neatly around her paws.

Skybreeze followed, her fur prickling at the thought of confronting Frostclan, she felt more stressed out thinking about being the one depended on. "We should, uh, go check the scent out probably." She meowed, trying to hide her nervousness.

Aurorashade looked up at Skybreeze, surprised that the deputy had followed them. "I hope they're not too aggressive..." she muttered, following Skybreeze to the border with FrostClan. She opened her mouth to speak, but quickly shut it when she saw two FrostClan cats, one of them much younger than the other.

Lunarshine held her breath and flattened herself against the ground, watching the patrol come closer. 

OOC: So I was thinking Thornsplash and Lunarshine attack, then Redstar "comes in" from her side of the border and lures them towards the tunnels like "I can give you help if anyone is injured" or something like that?

OOC: That could work.
IC: Jasperheart clumsily scrambled down from the tree with the jay in her mouth, landing and spotting the FrostClanners a fox-length from her.
Petrelflight quietly yelped and stepped forward towards her friend.

OOC: ok dokey

Thornsplash kept her cool and her gaze travelled across each one of the cats. "How nice to see you all. Seems like a day ago we attacked you." She purred, her claws slowly unsheathing. She made a quick glance at Lunarshine, making sure she got the hint.

Skybreeze felt terribly offended after the greeting and lashed her tail. "What are you doing on Brightclan's territory?! You're breaking the code, and tresspassing!" She hissed, however fear flashed in her eyes.

Lunarshine scoffed. "We're still on our side of the border, mouse-brain!" she spat. She caught Thornsplash's hint and nodded subtlety, letting her claws slide out and sink into the grass.

Aurorashade flattened her ears, nervously pacing behind Petrelflight.

Jasperheart stepped back, ears flat and tail twitching anxiously.
Petrelflight stepped forward diplomatically. "We don't have to fight here." she called, "Please. Just, stay over there." What if there are more of them? She thought to herself, nervously eyeing the bushes and too worried to point out their numbers.

Redstar was hiding behind a bush, and she looked out quickly to give Lunarshine and Thornsplash the signal. As she ducked back into the bush, she sent Heatherglow onto BrightClan territory to stop the patrol if any of them managed to escape the attack.

Lunarshine fiercely nodded and leaped at Jasperheart, claws outstretched. She bit into her opponents shoulder, growling.

Aurorashade gasped at the sudden move, and she head butted into Lunarshine.

Thornsplash was onto Aurorashade in a flash, clamping her jaws down onto her scruff and yanking her off easily.

Heatherglow snuck from behind, ducking under a bramble bush and eying the cats to see if anyone would run.

Skybreeze froze for a few heartbeats her fur spiked up and then took a big breath of confidence, quickly leaping at Lunarshine.

Petrelflight howled and bowled into Thornsplash, teeth bared.
Jasperheart yelped and flopped over, attempting to crush Lunarshine.

Thornsplash whipped around, a flash of surprise showing on her face, but quickly replaced with bared teeth and narrowed eyes. The calico deputy quickly batted her hind-legs onto Petrelflight's belly as she was pinned.

Petrelflight hissed and dug her claws into Thornsplash's shoulders, trying to keep her pinned.

Thornsplash quickly used her strength to push upward, cringing as Petrelflight's claws dug into her shoulders, and headbutted her, quickly gaining the advantage and rolling her over to pin her down.

OOC: How much more fighting until they should leave them for Redstar to lure them over?

OOC: Someone should just give one of the BrightClan cats a harsh blow that makes the patrol surrender, Lunarshine and Thornsplash leave, and then Redstar "finds them" and lures them to the tunnels.
IC: Redstar beckoned Heatherglow over with her tail, teeth bared as she watched the attack. "I need you to stay unseen now. If I lead the BrightClanners to FrostClan territory, they'll grow suspicious. Once the fight is over, lure them into the tunnels, and I'll get a head start. Can you handle that?" she ordered.

Lunarshine sunk her claws into Jasperheart's shoulder, growling loudly as they tumbled around the muddy ground.

Aurorashade gasped, limping off to the side of the battlefield for a moment and licking her wounds. She saw Petrelflight and Thornsplash in a tight-knit claw fight and launched herself at the FrostClan deputy, attempting to bite down hard on her leg and render it useless.

OOC: Alrighty

IC: Heatherglow nodded, determined to succeed, even though she was trembling in fear. "Okay." She whispered, then quickly separated ways to get ready for the cats to surrender and find her.

Thornsplash was quickly out of Petrelflight's grip as she noticed Aurorashade aiming at her, and quickly spun around, raking her claws down her belly as her opponent leaped.

Skybreeze gasped at the sight of blood spilling and quickly rushed over, knocking Thornsplash off and bowling her over before the Frostclan deputy bolted away.

Thornsplash quickly sprinted away after the fight broke up and glanced behind her shoulder to make sure Lunarshine was following her.

Lunarshine tossed her head back, seeing Thornsplash leaving the battle grounds. She nodded curtly, scraping her claws across Jasperheart's chest and right shoulder before scrambling away.

Aurorashade gasped for breath as the FrostClan cat gashed her belly. However, she wouldn't let BrightClan go down yet. She gathered her strength and leaped back up, tackling Thornsplash and biting down hard on her shoulder, hissing.

Ooc: late suggestion, but can one cat escape and run back to tell BrightClan? Or would that screw up plans @Leopardspots

OOC: That works!
IC: Japserheart collapsed, panting and wincing from the pain of her wounds.
Petrelflight snarled. "Yeah, go! Run!" she panted.

Aurorashade turned back, letting her grip on Thornsplash go limp for a moment. She nodded vigorously as Jasperheart escaped the battle. Oh... I hope she reaches camp in time. she thought nervously.

Jasperheart leapt to her paws abruptly. "I'll tell the camp!" she called, running away.

Lunarshine flattened her ears, leaping away from the battlefield and pretending to swerve back to camp, but instead she disappeared behind a bush with Thornsplash.

OOC: Cue Heatherglow @Skybreeze

Thornsplash shook the she-cat off, although she winced in pain as a wound was opened up by her. She quickly got away to where Redstar was waiting back on Frostclan territory, panting.

Heatherglow widened her eyes as they escaped and noticed one cat run off. She quickly got up from her comfortable seat and sprinted after Jasperheart. "Hey!!" She yowled, catching up to her and panting, trying to get a good blow in on her sides.

Jasperheart slowed and looked at the other cat. "Who are you?" she asked, bristling.

Heatherglow hesitated, the question freezing her brain up. Who am I? Am I a real warrior cat or am I acting as if I'm some sort of rogue here? I'm breaking the code! She shuffled her paws, "I-I was just going to help you out, you seem injured.." She explained nervously. If Dapplestar and Redstar find out that I'm not doing the job...



OOC: Should she let her go and inform the clan like Willow requested or stop her like we planned???

OOC: You can chose here ;3
IC: "I'm okay and I don't know you." Jasperheart growled, lashing her tail and flattening her ears at the stranger.

Heatherglow widened her eyes, "Fine. Y-you better run off before I tell the others about you." She warned, unsheathing her claws to show that she was serious. Please run off and not attack me. Heatherglow watched her intensely, waiting for her next move.

Redstar growled, seeing that Heatherglow was talking to one of the BrightClan cats that managed to escape. She decided to do the job herself. Like her mother used to tell her, If you want the job done you've got to do it yourself. She trotted into the clearing after Lunarshine and Thornsplash disappeared behind a bush and approached the wounded BrightClanners warily. "Oh, SoulClan!" she gasped, pretending to be shocked at the scars on their bodies. "Do you all need any help?" she offered, fake-purring.

Skybreeze widened her eyes as she watched the leader of Fireclan step over the border line as well and pad over to them. "Please tell me you aren't going to ambush us with Fireclan warriors." She meowed, craning her neck to see if there were any signs of more cats hiding.

Redstar shook her head. "Oh, no! I would never," she purred, curling her lip to show a glimmer of her sharp white teeth. "If you all are hurt, I can get you back somewhere to get treated for." she repeated, eyeing Skybreeze suspiciously.

"Aren't you the FireClan leader?" Petrelflight mewed, licking her wound.
Jasperheart saw Redstar emerge and fled towards camp.

Redstar glanced back at the way to the FrostClan Tunnels. "Yes," she meowed slowly. "I'm happy to help, unless you all were hunting on my territory."

"Nope." Petrelflight mewed, "The borders are messy but we definitely never strayed over our lines."

"Good..." Redstar trailed off, unsheathing her claws and sinking them into the soft soil beneath her paws. She looked back and saw a deep wound on one of the BrightClan cat's shoulders. "Are you alright?" she meowed, stepping right on the threshold that separates FireClan and BrightClan.

Aurorashade locked gazes with Redstar for a moment, and then glared at her shoulder, which was seeping scarlet-colored blood. "Oh..." she muttered. "I-I guess so." she responded to the FireClan leader's question, although the sight of her bloody shoulder sent a shiver down her spine.

Petrelflight gently nudged Aurashade's flank in a comforting manner. "Good thing the rain is lightening up." she sighed, "Where's Jasperheart?"

"I hope she made it to camp okay," Aurorashade mewed. "I wonder if a patrol is going to come soon."
