Dustfeather shook her head. "I was found by the old medicine cat in a patch of lavender on the edge of the territory when I was very young, I never learned who my father was but my mother was a kitty-pet named Daisy. I don't recall if I have any siblings, but I was cared for by a queen named Lillyfeather here, she took me in as her own after her only kit died. I was named after her, for she is no longer with me." she told him.

Dustfeather smiled. "It's okay though, even though she's no longer here, I know she's still watching over me." she said. "Besides, if it weren't for her, I'd have never met Fox-" she cut off, remembering her mate.

Treekit lifted her head, she knew who her mother was about to say.

ooc: just to let you know @Ottercreek and @Mistpool (Mist, you should know this by now) posting with only two characters, especially with kits, for more than 4 or 5 posts in a row in a camp topic is considered spamming, big time, as it does nothing for the plot. Sharpear flattened his ears and roused from his nest, hearing noisy kits playing outside the elders den. "What in SoulClan is going on..." he grumbled, pacing across the clearing.

Creamkit leaped at Skykit, tackling her sister with a victorious cry. Skykit laughed and batted at her, Willowfeather watching the two with a smile.

Scorpionclaw sat at the far side of camp, watching the kits, flicking her tail in annoyance. Although she wasn't a big fan of the clan's offspring, she hoped to mentor one of them, since she enjoyed teaching.

Treekit ran off chasing after a mossball and accidentally bumped right into Scorpionclaw. She fell back, shaking her head and then looking up at her. Her left eye was milky green.

Dustfeather was wondering what was taking her other kits so much time to come out of the nursery. She then gasped as she saw Treekit run into Scorpionclaw. She quickly ran over to help her daughter.

Littleflower licked her lips, finishing her vole. She padded across to the elders den, nodding in acknowledgement to Scorpionclaw and heading inside the den. She pressed her paws against the nests and winced. "Mouse-brained apprentices probably haven't changed the nests in moons." she scoffed, gathering them in her mouth and trotting out of camp to find more moss.

Sharpear picked up a tiny mouse from the prey pile and gobbled it up quickly. He watched the deputy, Littleflower, exit camp and narrowed his eyes. Ah, finally! At least someone is changing our nests. he thought, pushing himself up and following her out of camp.

Skykit shook off her sister and bounded over to Scorpionclaw. She looked up at the deputy with deep blue eyes. "You're Scorpionclaw right? My mom said you're the deputy," she meowed and bounced in place. "Can you mentor me?"She asked curiously and tilted her head.

Willowfeather got up and exited the nursery, flattening her ears when she saw Skykit. She padded over and smiled. "Hello Scorpionclaw, sorry if Skykit is bothering you," she meowed.

Emberpaw looked over at Skykit with a giggle. I don't think Scorpionclaw wants an apprentice. she thought, flicking a leaf off her ear and stretching out her legs.

"No, she's fine Willowfeather, but thank you," Scorpionclaw mewed to the queen. She smiled at Skykit's question, crouching down to speak to the kit. "Possibly, though in the end it's Russetstar's place to decide who your mentor will be."

Brindlekit watched the others play, a small cough escaping her and turning into a rather loud cough.

Stormpoppy padded over to Scorpionclaw. "Should I take out another hunting patrol? It doesn't seem like the other patrol brought back much," she mewed, already thinking in her head who she should take.

Creamkit looked towards Brindlekit and bounded over with Skykit. "Are you okay?" She mewed.

Brindlekit coughed again to clear her throat and nodded. "I-I think so. I think I just got a bit of moss stuck," she admitted sheepishly.

Moonpaw nudged Oakpaw gently. "You up for a little competition?" she whispered. "Whoever gets the least prey has to clean the elders' den."

Oakpaw looked down at Moonpaw in annoyance. He didn't get along well with the other apprentices. "Maybe. Training isn't about a competition though," he meowed coldly and padded to Stormpoppy.

Creamkit smiled and nodded. "Okay, as long as you're alright. Wanna play?" She meowed and crouched, batting at Brindlekit's muzzle gently.

Daisyleap looked up from her spot in front of the warriors den, shocked. "R-really? Me?" she mewed quietly, but puffed out her chest and strutted after the rest of the patrol. She turned to Hollyshade sorting through herbs in the entrance to the medicine den and grinned.

Treekit noticed Hollyshade and padded towards the medicine cat curiously. She got to the entrance of the medicine den and then stopped. "Hello?" she greeted shyly.

Dustfeather glanced around for Treekit but didn't see the dark-furred kitten anywhere, but of course, she didn't look towards the medicine den.

IC: Russetstar stirred in his nest, guilt rushing over his pelt as he thought of his clan. All he could do was rest, and get well from the sickness as soon as possible.

Tulippaw picked up a few leave of feverfew, padding out into the afternoon sunshine, but frowning as she saw a few clouds on the horizon. Hopefully it doesn't storm tonight, we won't be able to speak with SoulClan otherwise, she thought with a frown. She shook her fluffy pelt out and padded towards the leader's den, scratching the ground to let Russetstar know she was there before peeking her head in. "Hello?"

"Sleeping too. It's part of the illness, if you need to sleep then do it. The deputies will take care of you." Tulippaw started sniffing the leader's pelt, gently touching his ears and nose to check his temperature and stepped back. "There's some feverfew, it might help."

Russetstar stared at the feverfew, but he didn't eat it up or move it at all. "How much more feverfew do we have? The others should be treated before me... after all, I have been given nine lives." He meowed, coughing a bit afterwards from talking so much.
