Hawkpaw immediately obeyed, and trudged toward his nest, plopping down into it. He curled up tightly, tail over his nose and his ears flattened. Were his new friends okay?

Rowanscar gently nudged Aspenflake back toward her nest, and she willingly followed her brother, the two shaken warriors curling up to fall asleep.

Nightbrook flattened her ears and looked to Snowystar, though when she saw the leader in the medicine den, she looked instead to Stagshade. "Glidefeather said there's a crack in the moors," she mewed.

Fleetbird looked at Nightbrook from where he was sitting next to her. “We shouldn’t worry about that at the moment. Now that the... the... uh...” He paused, looking around and not knowing the word. “Quake is finished, we need to make sure that everyone is ok. Although I am intrigued about the crack.”

Rabbitpaw followed Hawkpaw, his adrenalin rush already spent sprinting across the moors back to camp. He quickly fell into a deep sleep.

Cherrywind ushered her kits into the nursery.

Plumdrop padded over, sitting beside Fleetbird. "A crack?"
Glidefeather nodded. "I watched it happen, the entire earth broke open like a moorhen shell."

Flamepaw curled in his nest, thinking about the sweet apprentice he had met at the gathering.

"Are you sure it wasn't the moonlight playing tricks on your eyes?" Stagshade mewed, unconvinced.

Petrelflight stood near the gossiping cats, ears pricked but not contributing.

"I didn't think you made it up," Stagshade mewed, "When it's dark and something scary happens you can see things wrong. You might've seen a ravine that had been there for ages and thought it was the ground splitting."

Plumdrop coughed softly. "I don't think that's such a good idea in the dark," she mewed.

Fleetbird glared at the deputy. "The way the ground was shaking, I doubt there wouldn't be cracks. The pressure on the ground would cause cracks to open. Especially in the moor. The moor probably has the highest chance of getting a crack since there isn't trees. I've noticed that there is more moving dirt around on the moor. Perhaps the trees are the issue." He said.

"I've spent most of my life finding things that cannot be explained by SoulClan." He snapped at the deputy. "Can you not understand what I am saying? I shall dumb it down for you." He said.
"Basically the shaking caused the ground to split apart because it pulled it apart. The pressure caused the shaking to be worse. We need to be more careful. There could be after shakes. Those could be more dangerous."

"I didn't know we had the authority over all things dirt related in our presence!" Stagshade snapped, "Grace us with knowledge, oh wise one. While you're at it, why don't you waste more of our time explaining how birds fly and why your stomach hurts when you're starving. Because that's really what we as a Clan need, isn't it."

"There is a difference between the reason why birds fly and why our stomachs hurt when we are hungry to this! This could kill cats, Stagshade." He growled. "Obviously you don't care about how we can avoid dying in this mess." He growled, before widening his eyes, realising what he just said.

Stagshade's look of amusement faded into an icy expression. "Listen, featherbrain," he growled, stepping closer to Fleetbird, hackles raised, "I didn't sacrifice as much as I did for the sake of my Clan so you could accuse me of not caring about them. I'm giving you three heartbeats to head to the warrior's den and get some rest. You'll be on dawn patrol assessing the damage with me tomorrow, got it?"

Fleetbird paused, looking up at him, eyes wide. He swallowed, before opening his mouth to say something, however deciding against it. He turned, walking towards the nursery, poking his head inside to check on his mate and kits, before turning and walking into the warriors den.

Petrelflight took the conversation's end as her cue to leave and padded to the nest she had made near the edge of camp, curling up and dozing off.

Stagshade let out an annoyed sigh and looked upwards at the stars twinkling overhead.

"Right. Let me know if you need anything." Snowystar replied, awkwardly sliding out of the den. She scanned over the camp- everything seemed fairly undamaged and everyone seemed uninjured, but there was no telling if the rest of the territory would be the same. She made a quick mental note to ask the deputies about tomorrow's patrols when she had the chance.

Plumdrop stayed quietly, watching Stagshade. "Are you all right?"

Aspenpaw nodded. "Okay!" She responded, although noticing there wasn't really much for her to do, plus it seemed like there were more private leader matters to discuss now without her needed in the way. She dipped her head to the two high-ranked cats and padded off to linger around the apprentice's den, wondering if any of them would gossip about the gathering. Truly she was too exhilarated from the earthquake to even think about sleep at the moment, and needed some sort of distraction.

Midnightkit stuck to his mother's fur.

Cedarpaw watched as his brothers settled down. He rested a paw on Hawkpaw's head, shaking him slightly as he wasn't so sure that his brother was awake. "Hawkpaw?"

Duckpuddle sat alone, tail curled around himself. He wondered where his mate was.

A thick frost lays across the ground, and almost no bird song can be heard. It will begin to get harder to find prey, and cool winds whip through the exposed land.

Flamepaw's eyes flickered as light warmed his pelt. He soundly slept surrounded by his brothers in the spot of the clearing the apprentices had claimed as their own.

Stagshade blinked awake, a sour mood falling over him as he remembered he would be in charge of dealing with Fleetbird.

Petrelflight rose and stretched, feeling her joints crack and giving a satisfied purr. She looked around, anxiously looking for someone to hunt with her.

Umberdash woke up from a light sleep. He sat up in his nest, going over the last night's events. After a moment's uncertainty, he padded away from where he slept to see if there were any patrols he was needed in. Umberdash couldn't let something bad happen and give up.

Glidefeather nodded, attempting to flatten the fur that spiked on the back of his neck. "I uh...didn't sleep well," he admitted.

Plumdrop yawned, her sleeping spot in the shade of the wall sheltered from the frost and fluffed her fur against the cold.

Rabbitpaw twitched in his sleep.

Cloudedpool stood and carefully maneuvered around the still sleeping warriors, nodding to Nightbrook as she passed the younger warrior. She twitched her tail and looked to Stagshade, padding over to him. "Am I needed for anything, Stagshade?"

Nightbrook went instead to the nursery, poking her head in. "Is everything alright in here? No one was hurt last night?" She mewed, shifting her weight.

Hawkpaw, still tired after getting little sleep, padded over to Stagshade and sat beside him with a yawn.

Rowanscar returned from the dirtplace, going to nudge Aspenflake awake, succeeding in making her grumble and roll over in her nest.

Cedarpaw was still pretending to be asleep, hoping he could leave his chores off for another few minutes.

Midnightkit yawned awake, eyes blinking as he pressed himself closer into his mother's fur. He waited for her and his sister to wake up before he said good morning.

Duckpuddle was sleeping outside the warriors den, shifting around uncomfortably.

"No one was hurt," Stagshade clarified, "Cloudedpool, would you be comfortable leading dawn patrol today? Fleetbird, Glidefeather, and I are going to check the moorlands to see if the ground broke."

Flamepaw blinked, grumbling, as he heard his brother rise. He hoped if he stayed still he could avoid anyone noticing he was sleeping in.

Duckpuddle stood and yawned, walking up to his favourite deputy. "G'mornin' Stagshade! Am I going too?" he chirped, eyes twinkling with mirth.

Cedarpaw prodded Flamepaw lightly. "I'm guessing the earthquake wasn't... a dream?" He mewed softly, trying not to wake up the other apprentices.

Duckpuddle brightened even further if possible. "Really?! Finally! A patrol!!" He beamed, tail stuck straight up in excitement. "When do we leave? Do you need me to wake anyone up?!" he whisper-shouted, glancing back and fourth from Cloudedpool to the warrior's (nest/whatever word goes here idk patch of land????)
