CLAN NEWS: WaterClan is still out of their camp, however some ceremonies should lighten the mood. There will also be a discussion held between the senior warriors, deputies, and leader to discuss the plan of action for the alligator invasion.

Twistedleg finished organizing two piles of herbs, mixed, and made to be a traveling bundle for Sunpaw, and himself. Now thinking of his apprentice, he glanced around the den, wondering where he had gone off to.

Twistedleg flicked his ear at Sandstar's meeting call and picked up the bundles, stuffing one underneath his chin, and the other in his mouth, leaving a tangy smell. The gray-blue medicine cat sat down at the edge of the clearing, scanning the clearing for Sunpaw.

Twistedleg limped over to where his apprentice sat, dropping a bundle of herbs down at his paws. "These are your traveling herbs, for when we go to the mooncave," He explained, before lapping up his own, and continuing, "It'll be your first time, so stick close to me and don't get lost."

Fernkit wiggled against her littermates, resting against their mother's warm, and soft belly. She yawned, never wanting to get up from such a comforting spot, but of course, Ebonyfur would awake as well soon enough. She peered over at her littermates, Mallowkit's pelt standing out amongst the dark browns and blacks.

Peachpaw returned to camp with a clump of herbs in her mouth, Mistleleaf and Marshfeather behind her. She placed the herbs out on a rock so they could dry off. She quickly ate a few burnet and daisy leaves for her travel to the Mooncave soon. She flicked her tail and sat down by Twistedleg after realizing a meeting was in place.

Tansykit turned her head as Sandstar called up the meeting. She bounced to her father, Silverwing, while Chervilkit walked up and rubbed against her watching the leader.

Sandstar flicked his tail. "Recently, the rogues have been a trouble for the clans. WaterClan will not get involved in this." He said. "WaterClan does not need to get involved with other clan business." He said.

Twistedleg glanced over at Peachpaw, but his gaze quickly flickered back to Sandstar; not quite paying attention though.

Spottedface stood up, flicking her tail. "But if we don't do anything about the clans, then the rogues will spread to us soon enough!" She pointed out, worry glazing her eyes.

"Well as long as they can't swim we will be fine." He said, trying to reassure himself a bit. "Anyways. I would like the deputies to double the patrols just in case." He said and flicked his tail. "Anyways. We have two kits ready to become apprentices today. Carpkit and Shorekit, please step forward."

Nightfoot flattened his ears. He cleared his throat loudly before the two kits got the chance to go to the front of the crowd. "Sandstar, these are rogues. Powerful ones. They probably know how to swim. I say we should build extra protective barriers at camp and around the territory." he suggested, although his voice was firm.

Carpkit hesitated, glancing between the warriors. They really have to ruin my apprenticeship ceremony by talking about rogues, don't they? He huffed silently, earning a sharp glare from Poolglow.

Shorekit licked her lips, relaxing as her mother cleaned her fur. She frowned at the mention of rogues, pressing against Poolglow's stomach. "Will the rogues attack us?" she whispered, looking down at the ground.

Cedarhowl glanced at the kits, gulping a little in guilt. They still have Poolglow. I'm not the worst father in the world.

Sandstar glanced at Nightfoot with a glance that said We are in the middle of a ceremony. Talk to me later. He turned back towards the kits. "These kits have reached the age of 6 moons. Carpkit, your new name will be Carppaw. Your mentor will be Marshfeather." He said.

Peachpaw looked up at the darkening sky and flicked her tail at Twistedleg. "We should be heading out now," she whispered, glancing back at Mistleleaf and Sunpaw. She gestured to the entrance and padded towards it, dipping her head to Sandstar.

Sandstar continued and flicked his tail in good-bye to the medicine cats. "Shorekit. You have reached the age of 6 moons and you are ready to become an apprentice. I will mentor you." He said and leapt down to touch noses with the apprentice. He had one more ceremony to do.

Shorepaw watched her brother run out of camp with his mentor and took to Sandstar. "Hi! Can we see the territory?" she mewed, ears pricked.

Salmonpelt shook out his fur and approached Turtlesplash and Cedarhowl. "I'll come along." he purred.

Nightfoot grumpily got up from his spot in the corner of camp, old bones creaking. "Watch out for the alligators!" he rasped loudly to the leaving patrol.

Willowpaw trotted up to Shorepaw and whispered, "Don't count on him paying attention to you go more than a moment."

Poolglow watched Cedarhowl follow Turtlesplash out of the clearing and rolled her eyes in annoyance. She stretched, purring lightly at Shorepaw as she began to make friends, before padding back to her nest in the temporary nursery. Its too late to make a new one, she thought, reassuring herself.

Snowlily watched the new apprentices and rested her head on Lostblaze's shoulder. "I remember being that age," she murmured softly. "Everything was so much fun."
