Avalanche slowly stood up and flapped her wings and then roared in pain.

Avalanche wouldn't stand back up, she panted heavily, too exhausted now.

Melody's eyes widened and she withdrew her head, she didn't like hugs. She growled to let her know of that.

Lily nodded at Cinder and placed her hand on Avalanche's head. "Come on girl you can do it."

Aurora seemed to make a roaring laugh and rubbed her head on Atlanta, like a scratching post.

Avalanche growled at her with a glare, she didn't want to get up.
(What happened to Eclipse's rider?)

Dagger was close by and nudged Avalanche with his massive head to help out. He nipped her on the tail to try and scare her into getting up. It didn't work.

Asger looked around. "Storm, mend that roof. The dragon riders, come with me."

Avalanche's eyes widened at Asger and she suddenly stood up and flapped her wings, even her injured one. She growled in pain and then roared at Asger, she wasn't letting Lily go with him.

(Storm's favorite is the stormbutter huh)

Lily swore under her breath. "Great." She turned and stroked Avalanche. "Its ok."

Asger narrowed his eyes at Avalanche before sighing. "Fine, Ill talk here." He said. "Dragons and Vikings don't mix. We need to do something about the food they are eating. Tomorrow its winter and we need to get more food. The food we have wont last us a week, much less the winter."

Avalanche yelped at her wing but remained strong. She closed her eyes at the strokes.

Dagger frowned a little, sensing the urgency about food and lowered his gaze, maybe he could bring them some?

Katla blinked. "I could go fishing." she volunteered.

Asger shook his head. "What I am saying is that we could never catch enough food for both the dragons and us. Its the dragons or inut."

Lily frowned. "We cant just get rid of the dragons!"

Melody roared at Asger. You didn't mess with a Death Song.

Avalanche's eyes widened at Lily's words and then she growled at Asger.

Dagger made a low growl and then flew off, but not before swinging a few spikes from his tail onto the ground as if to tell them he was pissed off.

Katla looked after Dagger and then towards Asger. "Great, now we lost a Deadly Nadder thanks to this." she said, angry.

"Dad, have you tried?" Cindy asked, sticking next to Zirconia, subconsciously stroking her neck. "Get everyone fishing and getting food, maybe send some of us further away to get more too, then come back before the freeze and put it all in the same place. If there's still not enough, we send some of the dragons to Dragon Island and some people can go with them to make sure they're fine. We could get a few people collecting food for the dragons too, like sea slugs or chicken," she suggested, thinking out loud.

Melody growled at Asger and then nudged Lyra fearfully.

Avalanche gave a whimpering chirp sound and glanced towards Lily, she couldn't fly.

Lyra, who had let go of Melody, rested a hand on the Death Song. "It's not her fault, so I'm going with them," she said, frowning.

"Dad, I can't live on an island without dragons, I'm going with them," Cindy said, gripping Zirconia. She looked at Avalanche, then Zirconia, then Melody. "Melody, and the other stronger dragons can help Avalanche and Zirconia, then if any babies are coming they can fly with the support of any other dragons that are coming," she suggested.

Melody lifted her head at her name being said and looked towards Cindy. She then glanced towards Avalanche and huffed. She didn't want to carry other dragons but she had to.

Avalanche's eyes widened at the idea of Melody carrying her.

Ruddy flapped his tiny wings and flew towards Melody's head and landed atop it.

Melody growled and bit the air, Ruddy falling into her mouth.

Avalanche saw this and roared at Melody.

Melody growled at Lyra. She tilted her head to the side and then spit the baby dragon out.

Ruddy shook himself off and then curled around one of Avalanche's feet with his snake-like body.

Avalanche growled a bit and tried to fly.

Lily got up on Strike, a monstrous nightmare she had borrowed.

Asger gave his daughter one last hug. "See you soon."

Melody had Ruddy wrapped around her foot and huffed.

Ruddy was not scared of the big Death Song. To be honest he found her similar to him.

Lyra looked around but didn't see any dragons she wanted to ride on.

Cindy slowly limped on, rubbing Orion's head. "Wow," she complimented. "Zir, you try flying without me?" she suggested to the Razorwhip, who was growling slightly with narrowed eyes. She flapped her wings, gaining strength in the bad one. "Good girl," she laughed. "Alright, you fly on the side, given that it's my weight on your back which makes you drop and fall with your bad wing," The dragon dipped her head, suddenly lifting her head seeing a long dragon flying above, almost hovering.

Slash dived down, flapping her wings next to the riders gently, so she wouldn't create too much wind at them.

Melody grumbled and picked Avalanche up in her mouth before taking flight.

Katla saw Slash and fell onto her butt.

Alrik was riding on Everstone.

Atlanta jumped off Ocean and led him to her house. "We have an empty dragon stable ever since my brother's dragon died. You can stay there." She said and secretly hoped one of her brothers was home.

Cindy leaned over, grabbing her checklist from Whiplash's satchel. "Okay, Gronckle Iron," she said to herself, sliding off Zirconia and mentioning for the 2 dragons to wait before she headed down to the blacksmith's.

Atlanta saw her house and went inside the stable. She filled up food and water and instead of going inside, she lay down besides Ocean.

Cindy went inside, grabbing some of the spare Gronckle Iron and attempting to work out how much she'd need. "Oh, what the heck, this should be enough for half an arm," she laughed, sliding out the doorway. Now, the other 3 Screaming Death spines should be in my house still, she thought to herself, heading back up to the house.
